Nice hostel and affordable”

Just 5 mins walk to Alona beach. I really loved my stay here. The receptionists are nice. I stayed in a mixed dormitory room. They do have lockers outside the room. Each bed has its own light and two sockets. Met two friendly bedmates namely Alessio and Maria. They also have free breakfast but they don't have complimentary shampoo and soap but it's okay. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed my 1 night stay! Hope to stay here again, soon.

Safe and Clean”

It's a cute little hostel located near Alona Beach. There's a couple of banks close by (BPI and BDO if im not mistaken). Though the bathroom stalls for men and women are in the same big room, it is well maintained and cleaned everyday by the staff. The ladies dorm was clean and the pods were spacious. The AC was working very well, given that it is facing the wall and not the beds/pods. The lockers outside were big enough to fit all your stuff (especially mine, I over packed for my two weeks of solo travel). The common room/kitchen is very lovely, especially at night with those cute lights they have hanging. They have plenty of board games, magazines and books to read there. Their staff was really helpful with tours, they're also friendly, I get to talk to them whenever I hang out in the common room. They serve light breakfast every morning and free cocktail every 6:30 pm. Really great place to stay and I'm happy that I stayed here during my last leg of solo adventure. :)

Staff were a little confused at the beginning with my booking but we sorted it out. I really like their eco focus and the 6pm daily welcome drinks is a great way to meet other travellers. Definitely do the firefly sunset kayaking tour!

Good for Solo Travelers”

I currently live in Panglao Island but decided to book with Moonfools just to be 10 mins away from the beach. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi was fast compared to the choppy wifi in other resorts. I didn’t expect they’d serve breakfast and though I never tried it, it think it was a plus for what I paid. Downside is the bathrooms were dark and needed more upgrade. Overall, it was a decent hostel and a well maintained place.

I booked with this hostel for a 1 night trip in Bohol. Beautiful facade, location, amenities, and staff. The interiors were perfectly designed with eco-friendly materials. It was good 5 minute walk from Alona beach. The airport bus also stops in front the hostel so it's very convenient going to and from the airport. The doors in each room are equipped with digital door lock with passcode. I was amazed with how they came up with the idea of the DIY oatmeal for breakfast. Will definitely book with them again when I come back in Bohol. Also, I've already recommended them with my friends.

Great location & free coctail, but bed bugs!”

I'll start with the good points first. I like the location being in the highway, close to restaurants, massage parlour, minimart and McDonald's. Within walking distance to the beach. A few bars with DJs and live music are close to the hostel, but far enough to not hear them while sleeping. There are free cocktail every evening to encourage interaction between travellers staying in the hostel. Staffs will respond to you while being asked questions, but that's all one or two words kinda response. For example, "do you have a tourist map?". The answer was: "yes, over there" while pointing towards a big map on the wall which wasn't completely helpful. I rely on google maps and reviews more during my 3N stay. There was no briefing given at check in. The worst: BED BUGS! I was bitten all over my body the first night. Being positive and thought it was mossies, I bought insect repellent. On 2N, I woke up to see bugs moving freely on my bed!!! This has been reported to the staff. Watch out...!

Lots of Asian tourists had booked the place out so couldn’t interact with as many people. Room was quite small. I was in 6 bed dorm. I would actually recommend staying in a room with more beds where you get the pods.

The hostel provided everything I needed during my stay. Locker with CCTV surveillance and USB socket for each bed were especially good for me. The staff were nice and always wore smiles on their faces. A cocktail serving in every evening was also a bonus.

This hostel is 5 mins walk from the Alona beach. Everything here is almost perfect near to some local restaurants, mini department stores. Some basic toiletries are not able like towel, bath soap, shampoo etc.. the only thing which is free the toilet tissue.

I only booked for 2 nights but ended up extending my stay for 3 more days, cause apparently there are a lot of things to do in Bohol. Love the privacy in the sleeping pods, the smell inside the room, it is sparkly clean, friendly filipino stuff and amazing facilities This hostels wins the award of the best hostel breakfast ever!!! And it is a diy healthy breakfast. The lounge is a good place to meet other travellers, free water, free cocktail every night; love the songs theyre playing everynight tho! it exceeded my expectations! And its a plus that you can rent a scooter and a bicycle . this hostel is an eco friendly hostel!! ❤ I love this hostel so much!💕

My first time in a shared room!”

I was expecting a disaster to happen but surprisingly it was a VERY GOOD Experience. Free open table breakfast was a plus for a budget traveler like me. And i had a nice experience of Corn Coffee during my stay. Definitely recommended to anyone who is not picky about sharing rooms.

The hostel is good... The dorms have lookers, and the bed is good. The common area is nice but small on the nights is a bit crowded.. It's a plus the free drinks at nights to help to meet people.. The WiFi could be better..

I love this hostel!”

Stayed here for 3 nights! and no regrets! I had so much fun! First time to travel alone but i didn't feel that i'm alone! because of super accommodating and friendly staff ! And also got a chance to met new people in the hostel! Good location!! its walking distance to the beach, restaurant and bar. Definitely want to go back again!

Perfect for a solo traveler”

I went solo to Bohol and stayed at Moon Fools for 5 days and 4 nights, and it is perfect. You get more than what you paid for. The rooms are cold and clean, the staff are very helpful, there's free yummy breakfast, coffee and cocktails! Will definitely stay here when I come back to Bohol. 😊

You get more than the price. The beddings are clean and really smells good! I don’t normally walk around the house with barefoot but, since it’s one of the house rules I need to follow and honestly is ok because the floor is clean. They sweeps the floor from time to time. The lounge area is so comfy colourful and masarap tumambay and makipag kwentuhan sa staff and other travellers. The best ang breakfast! The comfort room is clean as well. Ano pba? Basta sulit! Will definitely stay here when I go back to Panglao. #solotraveler

Every Bed has its 2 sockets, lockers are large and the public area is very comfortable for social, games, and internet surfing. It's easy to find because they are just on the side of the main road and has an obvious board. The hot shower is not useful every time, and the breakfast is little bit simple. By the way, the scooter rental they provide is much expensive than outside, try to find another place to get a fair price.
