First time staying at this hotel. It is about 3 minutes walk to the Shaw convention center and mall. The hotel staff are genuinely nice and helpful. The room is very nice, clean and comfy. There is a public parking attached to it which you can access via elevator. Please note that parking is $28

My daughters and I had a wonderful time exploring downtown Ottawa, the Rideau Centre and the Byward Market - all within walking distance of the Novotel! The staff were super friendly and helpful and our room was very clean and modern. We loved our stay and will definitely return again!

Great Stay!”
Novotel is literally across the street from the Rideau Centre so if you like to shop you can’t get a better spot than this. Unfortunately we had a quick stay and didn’t get to take advantage of the location, but would for sure stay here again next time I’m in town. The staff member who checked us in was friendly and made sure we were comfortable after a very long day of travelling. The room was spacious and had very modern features (USB plug ins, waterfall shower) everything was clean, the bed was comfy. I hated the pillows and couldn’t get our room to cool down (stayed at 23 degrees even though we set it to 18) but other than that I loved everything else.

Excellent location and kind staff”
Right next to CF mall so easy to acess get what you need and go to your destination by taking the O trains or by the bus. Room was big enough with two beds and it was very clean. I had noise problem from next suite guests but kind front desk staff apologize to me and changed my room right away. So I was satisfied with their serive. There's a few downside, I hope they can make improvements then I will definitely go back on my next trip to ottawa in the future for sure. Hope they have more sound proof and provide better smell of shampoo with conditioner (which there were none conditioner) will be nice, showergel for Women guests. It smells men's aftershave so I kinda hoped they were fruity smell or none fragrance at all. Shower booth doesn't have door to close so I had to continuously be aware of water splash everytime when I take shower which is very tiresome. That's for -star but other then that I liked everything. Ice machine, coffemachine, Air conditioner control, beds, feel safe you are just by yourself traveller. So I want to recommend this hotel to my friends.

Everything about the stay was amazing. Decent price, amazing location and staff were very kind. My daughter (11): on Google it says Novotel is 4 stars… it should be 5!

Mask wearing and HVAC”
My experience with this place was great for the most of parts. What bothered me were that staffs could not effectively enforce mask mandate on its guests. I understood the weekend of protest was not something can be controlled but having its attendees moving around within close proximity with each other and without mask on inside of your establishment. It just damaged my experience. And you HVAC in the room is very loud.

Great location ”
Novotel is a very short walk from the market and the Rideau Centre. Lots of restaurants nearby. Parking garage parking is always a bonus. Very modern room with a great shower and the King bed was very comfortable . Only negative is I tried to call the front desk for a TV issue and no one answered.

Location great, noisy not so great ”
Great location, clean room. Thin walls, heard our room neighbours for much of the Night. They shook our wall 😳. Mall across the street was great to access anything we needed food, shoppers, lcbo clothing etc. Bed was very firm. Over all a pleasant stay.

Good but small things missing”
Nice hotel, professional front desk, good breakfast and barman, but no water bottles in rooms, no room service and few small things might make the experience worth the money.

Nice and clean”
The hôtel is nice and at a good place near everything. If you have a pickup or vus you ll get a hard time to park in the parking lot. And it s too expensive for that

Great location. The room is small but clean and comfortable. Wish they offer breakfast for long stay. We changed our long stay at their neighbors for breakfast .
