Great Hotel”
Great staff, very helpful with everything! Your room comes stock with drinks and snack upon arrival! Also the location is prefect and the view from up top is worth the money!

excellent rooftop area”
I chose this place only for the rooftop and I was right.. it is a great place, large area and pool, nice place to hang out and have a drink. I can't say much about the room (it was the cheapest :). The breakfast was the best I had in 2 weeks in Brasil ! Congrats for pool and breakfast.

Maybe it was just bad timing but the whole weekend I stayed the rooftop was for "privelaged" only. So after traveling 20 hours I was not able to go enjoy the music and view or sleep because of the music vibrating the walls. I was on 12th floor directly below rooftop. Other than that the place was exceptional. The front desk staff was top notch. The people running the skybar not so much. Maybe send out notices to paying customers that amenities advertised will be unavailable.

The hotel had its best years”
We waited one hour to check-in as there have been some trubbles with the reservation, at least we got free breakfast for the wait. The rooms are ok but you can the walls pealing off in the rooms and small damages everywhere. The jacuzzi was a joke, it's totally had its years. Give this place a renovation and you have a solid 4-star hotel. At least the price is ok for a first row copacabana hotel.

Had to change rooms due to AC not working. Mold in shower on tile. Elevators very slow with one shut down at all times. Maid service very late in the day.

Overlooked property ”
I was honestly shock to how bad the hotel looks like. Dirty, old and overlooked. Great location but that’s all. On arrival there was no one to greet us and help us with our heavy luggage as well as in the reception there was only one guy (Marcos) who’s lovely but not enough to handle all the guest that wait in queue in front of him. The rooftop has a beautiful view but I would never sit there for a drink or food - it looks horrible.

Generally there are obviously several problems with the air conditioner: 1. in the public area, lobby, breakfast room and in the elevators there is no adequate air conditioning. 2. The air conditioning in room 511 is insufficient! Breakfast: The offer is sufficient if it is complete: 1. we had to complain about cold coffee, 2. the juices are sufficient, but not enough ice is kept for cooling, 3. Sparkling wine is offered, either glasses are missing or the bottle in the bucket is empty or is missing completely. 4. At the EGG station is a very competent female staff is working. However, another employee is overwhelmed with the job. The hygienic conditions leave something to be desired: The door to the kitchen is damaged in the floor area and does not work properly. In addition, tiles are missing in the floor area. 5. The cleanliness in the buffet and on the tables left a lot to be desired, on the sets you will find residues of previous guests and also occasionally small animals. 6. Ther

Pros : Location. Views. Facilities. Rooftop deck Cons : Slow check in and slow check out due to payments are only collected during check out, shower low water pressure, can only check in after 3pm

The hotel is not worth $200/night. And it's definitely. not a 5 stars, it's max 3. Keep looking - you'll be still allowed to take a picture of Copacabana at night from its roof even if you don't stay here...

Getting worse with each stay”
This was a good hotel when it was renovated. But i have notice it going downhill since. Rooms are not well kept and toiletries are always lacking. Something is always missing: a towel, facial tissue, mat, etc. Waiting for the elevators is frustrating as the third elevator is not always switched on.

Bad service, rude staff”
I would not call this a 5 star hotel. Its more like 3 star in my opinion. The staff were rude and not helpful when we told them that we're late to catch our flight. The toilets were quite filthy. They did not mop the toilet floor once in the 7 nights i stayed there.

The reception is up to the level of a 4/5 star hotel but the room is that of a 3 star. The room was very small and not well maintained. They seem to have major problems with doors. They never work. Door to the balcony, entrance, closet, all broken. And the cleaning service does not care to report it. On the other hand, the cleaning service barely made up my bed. The location is good. The wifi works reasonably well.

Adequate room - but the rooftop pool is superb”
I had a great stay. I chose the hotel because of the pool and the view and it was great. The rooms were clean and the hotel staff friendly (as friendly as Brazilians go that is). I was disappointed though with the breakfast buffet which was the same every day and extremely limited. The air conditioner in the room was also extremely loud but I see no reason to not recommend.

Nice rooms, terrible xervice”
Nice rooms but poor service. We were told our bags would taken to our room and 2 hours later nothing had arrived. We tried to call reception but it was constantly engaged. You have to pay for wifi which is a joke. Not only that but you have to constantly keep calling reception to get a new password. Reception not helpful at all. I have had much better service and free wifi in hostels costing £20 per night. The only positive about this place is the fact the rooms are quite nice. i am sure you find better value at other hotels.

Smack bang in the centre of Copacabana. ”
for such a central / strateigic location, the common areas of the hotel seem under-utilised. huge spacious lobby with an empty bar , and a restraiunt tucked away to one side. unfortunatly the lifts were out of order for my 4 days stay, and this was not convenient at all. staff freindly and courteous, and spoke english ( a relief to me, as i have not learned portuguese yet), but the air con was almost non existent, and the 'fitness centre' on the roof top was half full of ancient, rusting gear from the 80's
