A very lively and colorful place to stay. Located within a very short walk to the Hanzomon, Shinjuku and Mita lines, so maybe keep that in mind depending on where you're planning on going in the city. The rooms we stayed in had shared bathrooms and restrooms which were fine (in room bathroom facilities are overrated anyway). There was a 100 yen charge to rent a towel, and the toilets didn't have bidets. Overall still exceeded expectations.

Value for money”

Hotel is relatively cheap compared to other tokyo hotels. A few minutes walk to the train station make this a very attractive hotel. Hotel is also in between key tokyo spots so very easy to plan your itinerary. Staff was very helpful.

Exceeded our Expectations!!”

Have to admit I was skeptical about staying in a 'hostel' type hotel with my family of 5. Did not realize it was a 'hostel' until it was too late to change my reservation so I was a bit nervous as to what to expect with the entire 'sharing of bathroom'. BUT, we had a great experience and it way exceeded our expectation! The sharing of bathroom was not TOO bad and never had to wait long to use it. The rooms were much bigger and roomier than we expected as well. The only issue with the rooms were that there were no drawers for our clothes BUT that was just a minor issue that we were able to work around. Free breakfast every morning was a plus. It was simple (toast, soup and drinks) but satisfying. The location was not a popular busy tourist area BUT we preferred it that way. It wasn't crazy crowded and noisy and liked coming 'home' to that at the end of the day and the fact that there were PLENTY of delicious restaurants and eateries nearby was a major PLUS!!! The staff was AWESOME!

Super welcoming hostel-style hotel”

We loved our stay here. The bunk beds of our room were firm and very comfortable. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. And the simple breakfasts of broth, toast and jam, were a great way to start the day! As 3 subway lines run through the Jimbocho station just around the corner, all major sites within Tokyo become within a 25 min. ride! So though the rooms and facilities are very simple, we’d recommend this hotel without hesitation to people liking hostel-style travel and actually intend to return there ourselves. (Only thing to note, if you are travelling with a child under 10, and pick a room for two adults and a child the hotel may assume that you and your child may be sharing your bed. Upon arrival we had to pay a very small upgrade fee to get ourselves a 3-bed room....still was a great deal and totally worth the stay). Oh and the hotel’s café serves yummy international dishes (and some nice beers and bubble tea) in a friendly and fun international atmosphere. :)

nice hotel, near station”

Staff are really helpful. they gave me upgrade room from twin to triple bed room. it helped me alot since I brought 2 young children. breakfast just bread and soup but more than enough to me. near jimbocho station. maybe just 5-7 mins walk

Private room for 3”

Booked a private room for 3 pax. Decent size room for Japan, but don't expect enough space for all luggage to be open on the floor. There's space under the bunk bed to keep luggage. Bathroom and toilet are clean. Only face towel and toothbrush are provided, bath towel available for rental. For private room yukata is provided. Location near Jimbocho metro subway line but 12min walk to the nearest JR line. So if you're travelling on JR pass you might wanna think twice booking here. Nice quiet neighbourhood. Staff are really friendly. Walls are quite thin so you can hear people at the corridor and in the room. Overall I would say it's a nice place to stay at.

we stay at 5 beds room, the room little bit small, but its okay, with shower rooms and the toilet is just in front of the room. lots of good restaurants around, stores with nice neighborhood. 10 minutes walk to Suidobashi JR Station 3 minutes walk to Jimbocho subway sta Overall very nice stay, thank you

welcoming staff ”

The staff really helped us to figure out how to plan our travel. It has very close proximity to the art museum and the castle. Overall a very nice place and atmosphere Definitely recommend it and will try the next time I come

the hotel is so near the jimbocho station no matter what exit. the staff are so friendly they love talking to our child :) they are very accommodating they even let us leave our bags for a day while we were at disneyland and for FREE! though this may not be your elegant type of room, the service is definitely 5 star! thanks Sakura Hotel! will definitely book again when we return to tokyo :)

Ok for students; value for money”

Not too far from nearest subway station, very friendly staff, nice strong coffee. Ok for students and others who want to spend as little money as possible. For those who require a bit of space and luxury (no bunk beds and shared bathroom facilities) this is not the place to go.

Value for money, this is the first time I booked a hostel and get a breakfast voucher. You can borrow an iron and ironing board from the reception if you need it. You can also leave your luggage nearby the reception counter before/after check-in. There is a FamilyMart nearby so its convenient. If you are a Muslim, there is a Halal Indian restaurant very nearby (1-2 min walk to the right of Sakura Hotel Jimbocho when you come out of the door).

A place where it feels like home”

I had a cozy stay at the hotel. The facilities were good even though it is a shared bathroom. The dining area gives you a relaxing feels and the food on their menu tastes good! I honestly enjoyed their free breakfast The staffs were very accomodating too. I'll surely return when there's a chance

Jimbocho might not be the locale of choice for most travelers, but the room was value for money and had sufficient space to accommodate me and my belongings. The neighborhood also had wonderful eateries and conveniently located near two train stations.

Cheap stay around Tokyo”

The location is very accessible. Its a 10-minute ealk from Jimbocho Station. There are tourist spots that are walking distance from the hotel. Food is also fine. Cheap place to stay in Tokyo but the place is clean.

friendly staff, nice room, good location”

it was good. The rooms were clean, staffs were friendly and speak great English. The hostel is near to the train station and shower room has hot water. There were many restaurants to eat nearby and there were computers and free wi-fi to use. You can have sandwich and eggs in the restaurant inside the hostel. You find some business people nearby to grab some food at lunch. Free coffee, toasts and milk in the morning. Cheap place to stay for backpackers.

Sakura Hotel Jimbocho fits budget all the time”

I only stayed for one night this time but the place continued to work perfectly for me. When meeting people from everywhere in Tokyo, Chiyoda area is the most convenient place. And because this is a business area, so when it gets to evening this area became quiet. I enjoy such atmosphere. Still, when I woke up early I just took a walk around nearby Imperial Palace. It's absolutely a must-see for all the travelers.

Easily accessible, friendly staffs ”

Staffs can speak many languages, including Japanese, English, Mandarin, Korean and Spanish. I was served by Peter and Rikko. They are more than willing to help you. The 5USD breakfast, including coffee and tea, toast and scramble egg is worth it.... The hostel is within walking distance from Jimbocho station and JR suidobashi station. It is around 15-20 minutes from Shibuya, 10 minutes from Akihabara and Ueno and Asakusa by train

Best hostel ever”

It has a comfortable environment and 24 hours cafe where you can hang around and make friends. The staffs are very attentive and multilingual, able to communicate with most of the customers. I personally recommend the breakfast, which has a free flow of coffee, tea, soup and toast at 320yen(180yen more for scramble egg). If you are on a budget tour, u can eat as much bread as you can and you can skip your lunch. The hostel is less than 5 minutes from Jimbocho station(tokyo metro hanzomon line, toei shinjuku and Mita line) exit A1 and 10 minutes from JR suidobashi. Hence if you are buying 1 day metro pass, Tokunai pass or JR pass holder, Jimbocho is a good place to stay. I will definitely return here if I am going back to Tokyo.

Lvl1 is the cafe ... For Pple to hang out and interact. Friendly staff will try their best to share their experience if u enquire info of that location u intended to go. The only issue of that location is I am holding JR pass and I need to take metro subway to the hotel instead ( small transport incurred) . Overall . Good place! Good people!
