Great stay!”

The hotel was relatively near to 3 stations; Sendagi Station (subway) approx. 300m ; Nishi-nippori Station, (JR station) approx. 700 m, and Nippori Station(JR station) 700 m, 10 mins by foot, which is also passed by a Skyliner train to Narita Airport. We often get off at Nippori Station because it is more convenient to ride the train from there as it has Yamanote Line which is a train that covers the main areas of tokyo. The hotel is also very very close to Lawson, which is only 1 - 2 mins by foot. The staff were very friendly. They have infused water, hot water, and microwave in the lobby. We can keep our luggage in the hotel after and before check out/check in. The room we booked was a japanese-styled, with tatami and futon. The futon was very thin and hard, though they have some spare blankets we can use, but it doesnt really make a difference. The bathroom was shared, but it was very clean and very convenient to use. Overall it was a very pleasant stay!

We were satisfied with the service and facilities. The location is not too good because you need to walk around 300 m to the nearest MRT station, it's pretty tiring when you bring luggage with you. Overall, in terms of hotel, it is very recommended to stay.

Good budget hotel in a quiet part of town and near JR and subway stations”

Highly recommended for those looking for a more affordable hotel in Tokyo but who do not wish to stay in a capsule hotel. Shared bathroom was no problem. Check in is 24 hours with English speaking staff.

Great staff!”

The hotel is in a nice location with lots of dining places and stores but we had a hard time finding a sit-down place for breakfast except at the hotel. We partook of breakfast at the hotel cafe but was only toast and butter/jam and soup. Our booking did not give us free breakfast unlike the one at Sakura Ikebukuro (which was at a lower price). Our Japanese style room was clean. Bathrooms/toilet were shared but it was near our room and we didn’t have to wait to use them. The hotel is quite far from the station about 10-12 minutes walk which could be hard if with heavy luggage. The street though is lined with stores selling varied and interesting items (souvenirs, kimono, knickknacks, food) during daytime. Nice to linger here. The staff manning the reception and the kitchen were all great!

Quiet and Good Location”

We stayed for 4 nights. Booked 2 rooms with 4 tatami style beds. Space is quite good, but if all 4 people has 1 big luggage each, it will be cramped. Nevertheless, it's a value for money specially if you're always on the go sightseeing and only stay in to sleep and shower. Will book again in our next group trip.

I just want to comment regarding the bed sheets. It’s too thin for me or it’s just a common thing for the Japanese. Rather than that, I have no problem. Evertyhing is good. The staffs, the locations, the restroom, the restaurant, and also the amenities.

Short but sweet!”

This was our second place to stay in a 9-day trip to Japan. Place was good though rooms are in a smaller space compared to hotels. But it is a good place and it is near convenience stores, ramen place, bakeries and three train stations. And I also like the all-you-can-eat toast, butter and jam for breakfast!

Exceeded my expectations!”

i really love the traditional japanese set up of our room. The location of the hotel itself is good too. Near 2 station which is Sendagi Station and Nippori Station. Easy access to the airport via the Nippori Station. My only concern is that the 5ft floor shower room is for women only but during our stay last March 07-12, 2019, I saw 2 hotel guest which are both men walked inside the shower room. I think the hotel needs to be strict and implement the rules accordingly.

Cons - no baggage service to train station, which makes it difficult if you have several luggages to bring, because of elevated roads from hotel to train station. But if you have only one small luggage, it’s okay. Pros - very near to Yanaka Ginza, where traditional stores and restaurants of Nippori, japan are located.

The bedding and toilet could be cleaner.”

I am not sure if it is due to the upkeep of the hotel or the guests themselves who do not keep the place clean. However, it is a very old hotel but that add more characteristics and charm to the place. The surrounding is also a very nice and convenient neighbourhood. The walking distance Yanaka Ginza shopping street was interesting too.

Comfortable stay during the winter season”

Traveled with 2 senior citizens We stayed in Sakura after spending the weekend at Fujikawaguchiko. The staff including the supervisor were very nice to all the guests. The hotel is situated within 13mins walk from NishiNippori Sta and 15mins from Nippori Sta. The location is best if you want to be near the line that connects you directly to Narita Airport. Simple breakfast was served- bread and butter/ jam plus tea/coffee and soup. The futon beds were really comfortable. More power, Sakura!

Not much to complain about! ”

Friendly staff. Hotel rents out smartphones free for use. Accessible location, can be a tad hard to find at first but there are a lot of small authentic shops around the area. It's located next to Cat Street, but bear in mind the cats don't really come out during winter. Shared bathrooms on each floor, 5th floor shower room is women only but there is a shared toilet/sink for men. We had a good time!

It’s like living in a dorm”

Pro: the price, location and service, for around $20 a day, this hotel is definitely worth the price. There was on staff that spoke many languages which was great and majority of the services such as the cafe and counter were 24 hours. The location was perfect, it was a short walk to nishi Nippori station and an even shorter walk to Sendagi station. There are two seven elevens near the hotel, we went there everyday. Cons: the beds are futons, but as someone that is used to a soft bed, I got used to it after a week, rather I started to miss sleeping on the floor. They also provide an extra set of futon, blanket and pillow which really helps. Second, the bathroom is shared and the shower rooms are all in the same area but the fifth floor is only for females. I didn’t mind this because I was used to living in this kind of dorming style, rather it’s perfect if you’re traveling with more than one person because it meant that you didn’t have to wait for the other to finish.

our group love the place soooo much! the staffs were super friendly, the place was super clean and nice. it was the best stay and vacation we had. all of us keep saying that we will definitely going to stay there again whenever we come to Tokyo again.

we were satisfied with sakura hotel nippori, all their staff are very accommodating and nice to chat with.. especially Lim, the singaporean guy that always smiling.. he is very approachable and fun to chat with.. especially about the places in japan.. the room is clean, the shower rooms and the toilets.. the only disadvantage that we encounter is it is far from the airport..

We stayed at sakura hotel for 3d4n. Very nice place, staff so friendly n nice. We are muslim so we cant eat a cafe. The staff very helpfull n kind. Help us to warm our rice that we buy at 7e for free...so recommended to stay there..value for money..near by 2 train station (tokyo metro) n jr station..

Stayed five nights as I came for a medical conference and also toured around tokyo, I loved staying here. The mattress was abit thin, but they left extra mattresses in the cupboard and I just added it into my futon, and it became so comfortable I had trouble getting out of bed in the morning. :DThe toilets were shared with shampoo and body soap provided, they even give us slippers, toothbrushes, razors if we need them. Only had one time that the bathrooms at my floor was full, and had to go to the fifth floor to bathe (all womens bathroom!). My only bad experience bathing on that 5th floor was it ran out of hot water and I got freezing cold water for awhile. Had to hurry my shower then. But otherwise, I bathed on the third floor where I stayed and never had any problems with the water. Would definitely come back here if I ever need to stay in Tokyo again! :)

Clean hotel with friendly staff”

The hotel is very clean, though the shower room are common but it is very clean. Convenient for our family of 5 as we do not need to queue for toilets or shower. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It was great that the hotel also provide free rental of hp that we can call locally and with free data for GPS and surfing the Internet. This service is extremely useful and in the nick of time as the sim card which I bought is not working! Hotel is also near 3 train stations!
