Good option for Asakusa”

The Gate Hotel was great for our last night in Tokyo. The only issue was that the room didn't seem quite as clean as our other hotel stays, but it was so late when we checked in, we didn't have the energy to tell the hotel (just hairs in the bathroom and tub). It did the job, but also remember, if you're using the JR pass, it's off the Yamanote line, so you may want to keep that in mind.

Gate is Great”

I stayed in a modest semi-double and it would be large enough for two people. I loved the layout and it felt so much roomier than my current room in Osaka. My next stay in Tokyo will only be at the Gate.

The room and the bathroom are too tiny.”

In general, the hotel is clean and tidy, and the front desk staffs are very attentive and they can speak good English. However, the hotel room is really tidy, even you cannot open the luggage completely. If you only treat it as the place for sleep, it is OK. Don't expect you can enjoy the leisure time in room. The location is superb, you can find all kinds of Japanese restaurants within the walking distance. Further, it is so close to the Subway station of Ginza Line.

Brilliant location, great hotel.”

We had two bedrooms, as there were four of us, 2 parents and 2 adult children. We got the hollywood twin room for our kids, and a double for ourselves. Their room felt so much bigger, even with the twin beds taking up space. Our room was still good though, just a bit tighter for luggage storage. The location couldn't be beat - so much better than being in Shinjuku or Shibuya, even if it did involve a bit more travel. Would definitely stay here again.

Conveniently located near the Asakusa temple with many food options around. Rather quiet and peaceful at night as compared to other areas like Shinjuku etc. However, do take note that the nearest train exit does not have lift access so you will have to lug your belongings for quite some distance before you get to the lifts. Plus point - there is a supermarket right outside the hotel.

This hotel was ok”

We needed a place to stay before leaving Tokyo the following day. We stayed 8 nights in other hotels in both Tokyo and Kyoto. The others were great. This was not. The staff was helpful in getting us into a twin non-smoking room, but the room wasn't kept up. There was visable dust on the headboard, the shade to the bedside lamp was dirty and there was a ring around the drain in the sink. The rooftop was the best feature. The bartender/waiter on the rooftop was excellent.

-Location is great; easy access with sky access from Narita airport; -near to tourist spot Kaminarimon -Supermarket and beauty shop just next to the hotel Need improvement: -facilities pretty old, no usb hub for charging in the room -really dusty room and make me feel uncomfortable upon arrival, just slightly improve with daily clean-up but still very dusty -twin bed room is the corner room which I hate

Spacious and unique”

It was a wonderful stay at the Gate Hotel. I enjoyed the spacious room and the full size of bath tub and separate shower by the side. I especially love the chic design of hotel pajama - very comfy and stylish. For the great location and easy access to tourist spots and needs, I will definitely stay in next trip.

Superb Location; Limited Choice of Breakfast”

We enjoyed our stay with The Gate. However, their breakfast need to improved as they only have limited choice of breakfast to be select from the main course. Mostly I have same main course but its still delicious. Location is very near to the tourist spot. There is one supermarket beside the hotel selling a lot of fresh fruits especially strawberries. There is another famous restaurant nearby that we saw most of the time people are queueing for that restaurant.

Excellent Hotel!”

The hotel location is just across the street from the Asakusa Kaminarimon. There are a variety of shopping and eateries in the area. During the day there are a lot of tourist in the area, so its quite busy but not overly crowded; but it quiets down dramatically at night time, which is what we loved. Location wise, there is a subway stop just two blocks away, but the Asakusa line does need some train changing to get to the busy districts (ie.: Tokyo Station or Shinjuku). Its also just two stops away from the Skytree, which were visited. The check-in was quick and smooth. The staff was quite helpful with giving us directions, and had helped made of lunch reservations. There was an upper deck, one flight up from the reception with a beautiful of the Skytree. We had the Twin Room, which was huge for Tokyo standard. All decorations and the bathroom was quite new, the beds were very comfortable. Overall a very pleasant stay! Will definitely return when visiting Tokyo!

Perfect! ”

It was the first time we went to Asakusa for a trip. My sister and I had a wonderful and flawless time staying in this hotel due to the helpful manager who helped us find my sister's lost phone. I really appreciate him! Moreover, the hotel's location and cleaniness was perfect. Highly recommend!!!

Amazing location for amazing price”

This hotel is centrally located. It has direct access on Haneda Airport and very close to any where you want to be in Tokyo. It is 10 minutes away from Tokyo Skytree and literally across the Asakusa Shopping and Namikase shpping street. It is 5 minute walk from both Asakusa and Ginza Line. If you want convenience 7 Eleven and Family Mart is also 5 minutes from the hotel, there is also market located exactly under the hotel. Starbucks is 2 minute walk and a lot of restaurant 24/7 including Sushi Zanmai. We don't have much interaction from staff except checking in and checking out, but overall memorable experience.

Great location, delicious breakfast”

We booked 2 rooms as we have a family of 5. We have 2 teenagers and a 8 year old. Room is spacious and clean. but one of the triple room we got had a very bad smoking smell. We required to changed to another room but unfortunately, all triple room is full. They offer to change us to another superior room which only offer 2 beds with no sofa bed so I didn't take the offer. They then offer us 5 vouchers of breakfast and the breakfast is delicious. That's the only complain I have other than that. The hotel staff is very helpful to solve in positive attitude. Area nearby got a grocery store and lots of things to see and eat. Roof top got a great view. !

Perfect location and COMFORTABLE”

A MUST choose option if you want a comfortable and convenient hotel in Asakusa area. You can have almost every thing you want from and near this hotel. Restaurants(24hours), metro stations, souvenir and tourist spots. Even a family mart is just next to the hotel. Thought the room price could be lower but it is Japan. The room size is accespacious and all room facilities were in excellent condition.

Great Hotel in Good Location”

The hotel is very near with Asakusa station and a lot of amenities nearby. The staff also very friendly and helpful. They even sent out additional towels and tooth brushes for my kids. Nice Skytree tower view from the rooftop terrace. I can even see Skytree tower from my hotel room window. Spacious room compare to other hotel room in Japan. Overall we're satisfied with our staying here

Cozy contemporay boutique hotel near Asakusa Temple ”

The hotel is conveniently located near Tokyo Asakusa Station and the temple itself ! It's about 5 min walk to either one of them. The hotel lobby has an impressive contemporary setting with view of Tokyo Tower in the background. However, room is pretty small as one might expect but clean and tastefully decorated! The hotel restaurant serves excellent Western (Italian and French) and Japanese dishes (curry)! Staffs were friendly and professional. Highly recommended for a centrally located hotel in Tokyo!

Great experience”

The room is quiet and clean. Staff are very polite and can speak English / Mandarin fluently. The location is excellent! You can see the beautiful city view in the hotel lobby. My friend and I had a good time and definitely will come back for next trip.

it worth the money i paid.hotel lobby on the 13th floor with stunning view.staff is very friendly and helpful.i book the suite with balcony the room was amazing very big and clean,even the hotel provide us with free fruits cutting! everyday we bought a fruits at the corner of this hotel market i would recommend this hotel to u guys!easy access to all metro just 2min walk from the hotel plenty of shop and restaurant around!
