Great location and value”

Walkable distance 10mins from different subway lines. Clean place with changing of linen every 3 days/ cleaning upon request. Staffs are friendly and polite and able to speak some English and Chinese.

Our 2nd time”

I would have appreciated being booked in the corner room where we stayed during our first visit. But our room is good as well, except for the noise coming from the hallway and the other rooms when other guests come in late. That's why the corner room is better.

We will book again in this hotel when we go back in Tokyo”

My friends and I stayed at the Triple room fro 6 nights. The size of the room is just right for us which have large size luggage each. It seems that the room has been recently renovated or if not, it has been maintained very well. On our first morning there, we requested to clean up the trash cans and we noticed that on the succeeding days that they are cleaning those without us asking. They are also changing the towels everyday which is what we like the most. The staffs were very accommodating with our requests. We are still taking off our shoes and yet they have already prepared our room key for us to pick up everytime we are back to the hotel. On our last day there, they allowed us to leave our luggage after checkout since our flight is at night. They also helped us to get taxi that would take us to Shinjuku Bus Terminal. We love it that there is Don Quijote store which is only 5 minutes away from the hotel. There are also 7-11 stores near and Shinjuku is also few minutes walk.

We stayed here for one night only but if ever we come back to tokyo, i'll be staying here again. The beds are comfortable. Super clean facilities at friendly staffs. They speak english so you can communicate easily.

Clean & comfy”

The room is small yet very clean. Bed is not comfortable, just ok for sleep. Locatioan also near train station but not as near as I thought when i read other's review. Overall, I enjoyed my stay in this hotel.

Fun”

Good hotel!5 mints to JR,10 mints to Metro. Big and clean room with big bathroom and high-speed wifi. The only thing i can complain is that there're no elevator in the nearest JR station which was a big trouble when we left. All in all, I would still stay here next time!

Good value for money and friendly staff”

It is generally a nice place to stay. We stayed in the Japanese-styled room with shared toilet. The room is really spacious for 3 pax. Hostel is very clean and comfortable, neighbourhood has convenience store, restaurants and hot spring place within a 5-10 mins by walk. Also the kawaguchiko lake is only 10 mins away as well. Very nice place to stay in for the budget conscious.

Great hotel room in Shinjuku ”

Great location. Near the train station, a lot of restaurants, bars, stores, and nightlife. Room was exactly what we were looking for. Would definitely stay there again.

No elevator”

The location was good, around 5 minutes walk from JR Shin-Okubo Station. They have coin laundry at the main building. The building where we stayed is not equipped with elevator, so if you have big luggage it is not very convenient.

can't beat the price but there were a lot of mosquito ”

the price was good so really cant complain, but maybe just the location of my room but there was a lot of misquitos. I had left my luggage before i arrived and they had placed it in my room prior to my arrival which was nice especially after a long day of traveling from osaka. the staff where very helpful when i needed them to be, the only thing is one guy didnt speak english or read japanese so we originally had trouble communicating as i do not speak Japanese. i would stay here again if the rate was cheaper( i think i overpaid a bit because i booked last minute)

center of the Korean town”

Good location for JR pass holders”

If you are a JR pass holder this is a great location, you can use it to navigate yamanote line valid for JR pass, nearest train station is shin-okubo station walking distance lotsa eateries and shops around the area. The assigned room to us was spacious & clean. I have the feeling with this hotel that is soooo clinical. maybe the setup? Don't expect elevators on two floors hostel/hotel in japan you really need to carry you luggage in the stairs (short stair anyway). Enjoy Tokyo!

Great location and clean”

The hotel was in a good location close to the main parts of Shinjuku, friendly English speaking staff and clean room. The hotel seems dated despite being built recently and the sound proofing is lacking so will hear your neighbours quite clearly.

Everything was really spectacular. One of my friends has sickle cell anemia, and was bedridden for the whole trip to Japan. They were really curtious, and respected everything that we just had someone holed up in our room so as not to disturb him. Can't speak higher of this place. Will definitely be coming back.

Spacious clean rooms, great location, friendly staff”

Really good facilities, clean and spacious rooms. We extended our stay here. Walking distance to Golden Gai, and the main strip in shinjuku but far enough away to be nice amd quiet. Really close to train line we made good use of the JR Yamanote circuit from here. Would stay again if in Tokyo really good value.

Value for money”

Although the hotel is small, it has a good location and very good amenities. Since we arrived early and check-in is at 3pm, they let us leave our luggage and freshen up in the common toilet and bath in the 1st floor. There was wifi, a receiving area with television, vending machine and computer station. We left our luggage and went around Tokyo. Upon return, we had a late check-in. Staff were courteous and accommodating. Our bedroom was in the 2nd floor and a little small for 3 persons. However, our bed was satisfactory while the toilet & bath (plus toiletries) was more than what we expected. Really value for money. There is no restaurant in the hotel but there are many food establishments, convenience stores and other shops near it. Train station is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. All in all we had a comfortable stay at this hotel and will consider staying at the hotel the next time we visit Tokyo. Thank you Shin-Okubo International Hotel!

Convenient location and quite neighborhood”

The room was bigger than expected given its price. The hotel is 5mins away from shinokubo station which is just one stop away from shinjuku and part of the JR line that connects the major city areas. On the way to the hotel there are convenient stores and restaurants serving Korean food and Chinese food.
