Highly recommended! Facilities are very clean and the location is just perfect, particularly if you're visiting Tokyo for the first time. Staff is friendly and helpful. I stayed in a private room for 7 nights. My bed was comfortable & the whole place was quiet during night. I felt I had a lot of privacy. I certainly would stay here again! --- ¡Lo recomiendo al 100%! Es muy limpio y la ubicación es perfecta, especialmente si es la primera vez que visitas Tokio. La gente del lugar es muy amable y te ayudan con todo. Me quedé en una habitación privada por 7 noches. Mi cama era muy cómoda y el hostel era muy tranquilo de noche. Se sentía muy privado. ¡Definitivamente me volvería a quedar aquí!

Staff was generally friendly. I booked a dorm bed for the first few days and a private room in the last few days. The dorm wasn't really very clean. There were roaches running around in the dorm room. Bathroom was generally clean. I love that they have toilets on every floor, so no need to wait for your turn. The water dispenser in the main building is only on the 3rd floor. They have no lift, but staff is helpful to help me with my luggage. I wouldn't mind staying here again despite the roaches. It was quite value for money.

Good Stay”

They provided pocket wifi and towels. The shower and bathroom areas were shared. However the brushing teeth with the sink was open in the common areas with the lounge area. The room and shower areas were clean. The pictures advertised looked better than the reality. Location was great 500m to Higashi-Shinjuku Station. They provided breakfast 2 eggs per person and bread with peanut butter and jam spreads. Stay was more like a hostel setting. No lifts, only stairs. Overall good stay, Staff spoke English.

Economic stay”

It was quit difficult to find because there are so many small lanes that you need to take in order to get to the inn. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. Even he help me with the luggage. One thing is the space is small and the wall are so thin that I can hear everything. The toilet and bath room were quite okay. I had no chance to taste breakfast because I had to leave very early. Very economic but the rest is otherwise.

Excellent place to stay in Tokyo”

Probably the lowest cost you can get for an air-conditioned bed in Tokyo. Charging ports for every bed, 2x USB and 2x Plug. Two train station within 8 minutes of walk, tons of korean restaurant everywhere, plenty of convenient stores nearby, 2 of 24 hours Sushi Zanmai stores within 5 mins walk, 15 mins walk to the nearest 24 hours Ichiran ramen store, 15 mins walk to Okubo hospital. Washing machine available at a price of 100 yen for one cycle and 100 yen for drying, detergent can be bought at the reception for 50 yen. Big enough locker to put one laptop, one pair of shoes and a sling bag. Pay a 100 yen for towel rental, 1 to 1 exchanged daily without any fees, however the towels i changed all had a little smell to it, do bring your own towels if possible! No other complains! Great stay!

Near to Train Station and Friendly Staff”

This hotel is at Shin Okubo and it’s near to Shin Okubo Station and Higashi Shinjuku Station. The staff are really friendly and helpful. It’s a very homely place and gives off a very korean feeling. However, there are 2 weak points. Firstly, there is no elevator, so those with big luggage will have problems lugging their bags up to 2nd and 3rd floor. But if you have small luggage, this would be a nice place. Secondly, the rooms are not sound proof properly. The ladies next to my room we’re talking until 3.00am+ and I could hear everything. 😓 But for a Hostel/Inn, this is a nice place to stay and the price is affordable. The Korean restaurants at Shin Okubo are really yummy.

Good Value for Money”

It is a no frill hostel. You get what you pay for & I love that the staff are very accommodating & engaging. I also love that they let you lock up your luggage after check-out while you use half of your day exploring the city while waiting to be able to check-in to your next hostel. And yes, the handy phone they lent was very helpful too with Google navigation & local phone call which was very helpful when I had to call Gala Yuzawa resort & JR East hotline #. Can be used to make reservations, too. You do get a great value for your money. As for the location, its about 700-900m walk from the JR lines in Shinjuku so if you have luggage take the metro to Higashi-Shinjuku & you'll be fine. After that, I love that its a walkable distance to Kabuchiko & Tokyo Metropolitan tower free a free view of Tokyo City :) ANd oh, there is a bus stop 200m north of the hostel which was very convenient as well to go to tourist spots with bus stops closest to it. I will surely return.

Great Staff and Clean Rooms”

Staff is warm and welcoming. They even provide luggage storage if you are heading out somewhere out of Tokyo (eg.Fuji). Most hostels/capsules do not even offer to keep for a night. Toilets and beds are clean too and they provide fresh clean towels everyday!

Good, convenient location. Simple but large and comfortable room (we had a private double). Staff very eager and willing to help. TV and fridge in the room, washing machine and dryer on site for 200yen. Very simple egg and bread breakfast, but it did the trick. I would stay there again!

Good if you want to stay in Shinjuku. Place is clean, but you'll have to bring your own slippers. The walls are thin, so you may want to use earplugs. There was a male staff that came into the female dorm without knocking; it was very rude and unprofessional. There were some changes in my travel plans but the inn wasn't flexible to allow any changes. This place may work for some, but not really for me.

It's okay ”

Right in the heart of Tokyo's Korea town and close to Shunjuku. Unlike other places I've stayed, they were not flexible if you want to change the dates of stay after you've paid. The place is clean, but you have to bring your own slippers (none provided). Breakfast is provided: toast and 2 eggs which you'd have to cook yourself. One male staff just came into the girls dorm without knocking and that was quite rude and unprofessional. Other than that, I may consider this place the next time.

Cheap and good location”

The hostel is situated in the heart of "Korea" town. It is also near Don Quijote where you can buy souvenirs. It is a good 5-10 minute walk from the Shin-Okubo station which is just okay unless you are a large group with lots of things to carry/pull. Staff were very accommodating and the facilities were clean. I will recommend this to my friends.

Good place to stay in Tokyo”

We stayed for 6 nights. Location is good. A few minutes walk to Higashi Shinjuku subway station and Shin Okubo JR station. They provide free breakfast (bread and jam/ two eggs). Lots of restaurants in the area.

It is 10 minutes walk from the Shinjuku Station and along the way you can go to various restaurants, malls and party clubs. It has a lot of shared bathroom so you don't need to worry if you can take a bath as soon as you can. The walls are not sound proof, you can easily here loud noises of adjacent rooms. Overall, the place is well maintained.

A night or 2 for a solo traveler on a budget”

Clean place, accommodating staff, breakfast included and located in the heart of town. I spent one night here while I toured the city on a layover. I was in an 8 man room. Everyone was nice and respectful of each other.

Standard Double Room - Value for Money”

We were here for 8D7N. Luckily, private rooms were on level 2 (no elevators), and only 2 rooms. Hence, shared toilet isn't really an issue. The toilet, bathroom, and the vanity area are all separate, making it pretty efficient. We have not encountered any issues with having to wait long for our turns to take a bath or go to the washroom. Shoes aren't allowed beyond the main door of level 2, making both the common area and rooms clean, you walk around as though you would back at home. Room was really spacious with the floor being tatami style. There was more than enough room for me to open 2 big luggages and still have space for 2 to sit on the floor and pack our stuff or have a meal. Bar fridge, TV, and even a phone for data is provided. Only minor complain for me personally was that the bed was wayyy too soft for me. But hey, it's a hostel and i think for the price, I would endure the soft bed if I were to visit Tokyo again.

An all around great hostel.”

This is a really great hostel! One of the best hostels that I’ve stayed at in Japan. 1.) The location is incredible. (Walking distance from all of the best late night spots.) 2.) The staff was amazing. 3.) There is a good mixture of people from all over the world staying at the hostel. 4.) A nice, free breakfast. Includes eggs, toast with jam/peanut butter, and coffee. 5.) And all of this for a good, affordable price! If you’re looking to stay in the Shinjuku area while you’re in Tokyo, I definitely suggest that you stay here.
