The location and proximity to Ueno Station is excellent. The staff are friendly with quite good English. The beds are very comfortable, And the rooms are well presented and clean, although showing some signs of wear and tear. The only negative thing I’ve noticed in the last year or so are the increasing number of very loud, often rude, Chinese guests in the lobby area, lifts and common areas. This is my 6th or 7th stay at Ueno Hotel.

Ueno Hotel is really good! It was my first time to travel with my husband alone, and my first time to book a hotel. I was very impressed by Ueno Hotel! We can eat at the lobby full of tables and chairs, free flowing coffee, tea and water! there's even a microwave to heat your convenience store food!!! <3 And everyone in the hotel was super nice. 10/10 would go back! <3

Great location”
Close to Ueno Station. 10 mins easy walk in the shade. Wonderful bathroom. Walk in shower which is great for this who have trouble “hurdling” Japanese style slippery Fibreglass bath tubs. My favorite small hotel in Tokyo.

It's a walking distance from the train station. Clean & comfy room. Staffs are friendly. However, difficult to get to public transportation such as bus.

Small room great for a light travelling couple or a solo person. Experienced our first earthquake in this hotel and it stayed up which is 5 stars from me!

Great location, clean, good food”
Couple of minute from Ueno station, near convenience stores, good breakfast (I recommend this for travelers esp when traveling early), very clean. Small room but it is not an issue since we’re out the whole day. Room is made up everyday.

I like the layout of the room very much, i have stayed in a large bed room. I am satisfied with that”
Even tho it is a Japanese style small room but as compared to other hotel i have stayed before, this room with large bed is spacey and i have enough space to put down my suitcase. I would stay here again for the next trip

Takes about 1hr30mins via N'EX to Ueno Station with only 1 transfer. Iriya Exit is the nearest to the hotel, if not its a 6-min walk from any exit. The room is small, bed is clean and comfy. We could drop our luggage prior to 3pm check-in. Awesome shower water pressure, always a plus after a long day out. Helpful staff always on standby. We even opt to stay in this hotel rather than nearby Narita before departure. 3999!

The hotel is not that far from Ueno Station. The room is a little small for 2 people if with big luggages. But the bed is big and comfortable. The staff speaks good english and are friendly. The area is quiet too. Really enjoyed our stay here. Recommended!

Tourist traveler”
I was visiting Tokyo where I soon discovered how much Tokyo has to offer so I did not spend much time in my hotel room. I also found that this hotel was very good value for money. If this sounds like you are looking for a similar experience in Tokyo I recommend this hotel as its affordable and beside the Skyline train which goes straight to Narita airport making travelling between the airport very easy.

Basic hotel that provides all your basis needs”
A typical Tokyo area hotel, ie. small floor area but that is what I was expecting. The room is clean and all that is needed for a good night sleep is there. Toilet and shower facility is good. I like especially the common dining area next to the reception counter which is also a good area to have your takeaways from convenient stores too. Freshly brewed coffee and tea available 24hours. There is a Family Mart just diagonally across from the hotel too.
