Blissful stay in a beautiful setting ”
We are a group of 3 friends travelling around the Philippines as a reunion. El nido overlooking was a perfect part of our trip. We stayed in the villa which had 2 double bedrooms and our own pool overlooking the beautiful islands at sea off el nido, and a perfect view of sunset from the villa, the pool, and our own sun loungers. El nido itself was a short tricycle ride away (100 peso for a car) or about a 30 min walk. El nido itself was full of lovely little restaurants and bars, but overlooking was a great combination of convenient whilst being a bit more private and luxurious that the Main Street for great value. The tricycles drop you at the bottom of the hill that the hotel is on. WiFi is also included and the staff are lovely and very helpful.

Beautiful view of Bacuit Bay and sunsets”
We stayed in the 2 BR 2 bath villa each with a king bed and private infinity pool overlooking the ocean and view of the most magnificent sunset. The staff are nice and friendly, our villa was kept clean. The beds and pillows were firm to our liking. There is only 1 sheet on the beds, you can request a blanket to put over the sheet is you need. There is a small fully equipped kitchen and fridge, small mini bar with very inexpensive fee. You order breakfast and time of delivery night before and it's delivered the following morning. The property is located quite high on the mountain, it's a hike from the street below but we did not mind it. if you have issues regarding walking or climbing stairs, might be a problem.

We checked in last December 2019 and I messaged Arnold that I'm planning to surprise my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. I was really happy because they made it possible. Thank you Arnold and the lady at the Frontdesk! We stayed pool villa category and I didn't regret it because we the internet just down the pool area and I really love the pool. I will see you guys again!!

Beautiful view”
The best view ever! Amazing sunsets! Only negatives were that the pool was not clean for 2/4 days, the safe wasn’t working in our room (they did offer us the safe in reception), and the wifi only worked in the outside areas. Otherwise this place is amazing, the staff are super helpful and while you sometimes need to ask for things to be replaced they are always happy to help. They organised our tours, transfers, laundry, room service from nearby Italian (yum!). Walking distance to lots of bars, restaurants, shops but away from the hectic part of town.

I searched a very long time for a balance between budget and luxury and eventually found a blog that mentioned Overlooking. The staff is incredible and the views are unbeatable. Be prepared for a bit of a hike, but it is so worth it. Will be back. <3

I think the place is already cheap considering you'll have the whole place to yourselves! Kitchen tools are complete and the pool was awesome, not to mention the breathtaking view! The staff were friendly, any requests we had, they granted it. No breakfast included but they don't charge corkage fees if ever guests would like to bring outside food/drinks. The only con we encountered was our trash was scattered everywhere in the morning because of the scavenger cats. Overall, it's all worth it. Such a good place to stay at! Thank you!

Rooms are better than the photos!”
Our time in El Nido was made much better because we decided to stay here! The view is amazing, you get to watch the sunset everyday from your room and balcony. There are only 4 villas so it feels very exclusive and the reception girl was very helpful and friendly. The location is better than staying in town proper, where its noisy and a little dirty. Its a great place to relax after a day our touring. The owner even organized room decorations for my girlfriends birthday.I was pleasantly surprised as the room looked better than internet photos.

Best El Nido accomodation”
El Nido Overlooking has a great location, offering stunning views over the Bacuit Bay. Our villa next to the pool had a generous terrace and an amazing shower. The view from the bed was incredible. It was the second time I have chosen this accomodation and I really think you can't find any better in El Nido. You have to be in good shape to climb the hill to the villas every day, because it is too difficult for tricicles to get there.

Amazing location with panoramic views”
Great hotel with only 4 rooms. Be prepared to climb stairs though. Not for the unfit or the lazy. You can get tricycles that are willing to take you up the steep hill to the entrance of the hotel. The location is near many cool food places. Do your research beforehand :)

Amazing views! Paradise!”
Stayed in the 2 bed villa with its own pool - absolutely wonderful! Very clean, lovely big beds, great bathrooms.... massive outdoor area with pool, sun beds, sofa, table etc - all overlooking the most amazing view of the sea and islands.... fantastic sunsets!! Would not recommend for anyone with mobility problems! As the name suggests it is overlooking and therefore is up a rather large hill (our tricycle driver wouldn’t take us or our luggage up it!) and lots of steps in the hotel - but it’s all worth it for the views! You can pre-order basic breakfasts to be delivered to your villa on a morning which was a nice touch... on an evening you can order pizza from the local takeaway for delivery! (Saves going up and down the hill!!). Drinks in the ‘mini bar’ very well priced.... basically we did not leave the villa for 2 days as once you are at the overlooking you don’t want to leave your own piece of luxury!!

Magnificent views and sunset from the cottage we booked. Laundry, breakfast, and drinks from the room bar are definitely much cheaper than most hotels so we took advantage of the services! Definitely worth it for short stays.

Our stay could have been perfect but for one very bad design of the cottage we stayed in. The big problem was the open plan design of the rooms with no toilet door ! this is just ridiculous particularly if you are traveling as a couple where you haven't been in a relationship for too long. We had to declare when we were going to use the CR then the other person go outside on the veranda ! The grounds are lovely with much foliage & bird life although there are monkeys which can turn up early in the morning trying to steal food.A very quiet & relaxing place overall.Very nice staff & good breakfast, great to have this served in you room with fresh coffee.I would return but please have a door fitted to the toilet area !

Beautiful and relaxing”
The place was lovely with exceptional views. The staff was accommodating and generous. The only drawback is getting to the hotel. Transportation is by a motorized tricycle. There is a steep well paved road the leads to the hotel. Many tricycle drivers said they couldn't make it up the steep hill and needed lots of convincing or extra money.
