Felt luxurious at its price point”
We very much enjoyed our 4 night stay here. They were so kind and attentive and we were comfortable. Loved the infinity pool with the view of the ocean. We got a room with an ocean view which was amazing to wake up to. It’s not too far from the town center but felt peaceful and isolated and they provided free shuttle to town. (Town is small and walkable.) Food from the in-house restaurant was also good and I really liked the schnitzel and spring rolls. Our entire stay was totally worth it and felt luxurious at its price point. Highly recommended.

Definitely worth it”
Loved this place. The rooms were clean and had a beautiful view. They had live music one of the nights and it was great. Staff was super friendly and helpful, especially with shuttles and booking tours. The only issue was finding the place, but once you realize there is a beach path it is easy!

El Nido Reef Strand”
The owner Ms. Rose & all the staff are very accommodating & responsive: a) Ms. Rose, responds to all my messages even at night: a) booked all our tours upon arrival; b) arranged free shuttle (up to 7pm) to the center; c) arranged our last minute request for a van instead of chariot to take us back to airport. Location: a bit far from the city proper, but they provide free ride up to 7pm. The location is very quiet. Just a few steps away from the only 5 star resort (Lihim) in the area. Very nice view for sunset viewing. Facility: the only resort in the area with pool & restaurant. Thanks to Ms. Rose & staff of El Nido Reef Strand.

El Nido without the fuss”
Book your stay here if you want to experience true Filipino hospitality and experience El Nido without the fancy schamancy. Given the effects of the current pandemic to tourism, it is understandable if they would be lacking in all aspects. However, Ate Rose and Uly, along with their staff, would often get out of their way to accomodate their guests, and their requests :) The food takes long to prepare, but that's ok since it's all home made. The staff are uber nice too. The only con on this place are the roads leading to it, since one has to pass the unpaved road (not their fault!) and alleyways. But if you know how to drive a motorcycle, we suggest you rent one in town and you wouldn't have a problem going around. The location is a plus for us, since you only enjoy the sights (ask for their beachfront rooms!) and you only hear the sound of the sea, especially at night, which is soooo soothing. And another bonus: they have the cleanest pool ever with a great view of the sunset!

The best staff!!!”
This was our first stay in el nido . A family of 4 ( 1 x teenager , 1 x 2 years old baby). We stayed for 2 nights only ( hotel fully booked after). If you are looking for the best manager of Palawan, then this hotel is for you !!! Can’t thank Miss Lyne enough for all she has done to us: booking tours, organizing private tour, booking private van, organizing live music for us , and spend time with our little baby girl . Miss Lyne went way above our expectations . She made our stay amazing and memorable . Thank you so much for everything you have done Miss Lyne. We will be back !! For the cons: the food is good, however the waiting time is far too long. 30 min for a plate of French fries, 1 hour for a pancit... the food is made at the order, which brings freshness, however maybe the menu needs to be adjusted and smaller so the waiting time would be reduced . Overall: amazing stay ! We will definitely be back! Well done

Picturesque views and great staff”
We stayed here for four nights and our stay was made extra special by the lady at the front of house. She was always friendly and willing to help us. The location of the hotel is a short walk (approx 10-12 mins) along the beach from town but they do offer a free shuttle up until 10pm. We had an amazing view from our balcony. Breakfast is average but you can go to town for that. Pool is great. Movie channels in room to wind down after a big day exploring. All in all I would recommend Reef Strand.

Very good”
The resort was right in front of the beach with beautiful view and swimming pool. The location is a little inconvenient but provides enough isolation to enjoy. To reach the resort, you have to contact them to send their transportation to pick you up from the El Nido beach area, which is just 5 minutes away. The rooms were facing the beech and the pool. Breakfast was included but their lunch and dinner menu was a bit pricy. Also, extra mattress were very pricy, almost as much as the price of the room. The resort is privately owned so there is a lot of personal touch and experience during the stay. The pool and restaurant area can be overcrowded if all rooms are occupied. First two days were really good for us where we enjoyed the peaceful environment but a few loud guests hanging out of their room around the pool made it uncomfortable for us. Overall experience was great and it was worth the stay. The owner was very helpful and arranged all the sightseeing for us and in a few instances guided us.

Very good”
The staff were very accommodating and I’d like to special mention the owners Mr Uli and Mrs Rose for being very hospitable and warm. The place is nice and so quiet beachfront but then is not allowed for swimming to tourist. And also the way/road to the hotel from the main road is rough and too narrow, only tricycles can pass thru.

A must think before you book”
I booked and stayed at this resort for 5 days. The outstanding character of this resort is their staff. Ladyline, the manager/receptionist was extremely great at providing exceptional customer service. She was very attentive, and knowledgeable of the area. Her trip/packages suggestions were on spot and we had a great time with the tour packages she had arranged for us. The driver ,Carlo was also exceptional. He was very much willing to drive us to the town center at any time of the day. Even the acoustic performers in the bar, Jessa brought an entertaining flair on the two nights we were lucky to have chanced upon her perform. The food was reasonable and good, particularly the chicken noodle soup, which brought me relief from my sinuses and had become one of my staples during my stay. Cons: the room needed much work for an updo. The sheets were as thin as cotton , unable to provide warmth during the night. The toilet was faulty and below standards. Overall ..blah,

Above average”
We were disappointed as we had spent a lot of money and we’re expecting higher quality. The owner and staff are nice but the place is not as good as shown in the pictures. It felt run down and is in need of repair and deep cleaning .

Very poor access”
We arrived to find that we could not reach the resort from the road and were ferried by motorcycle to the property via small alleyways, beach and unmade roads. I suffered minor injuries from the motorcycle ride due to erratic driving and rough terrain. I informed the resort owner/ motorcycle driver, but he shrugged off the issue as unimportant. Upon arrival there were various items not working in some rooms ie a/c, tv's etc, this was corrected. The food and drink was overpriced ie drinking water 250 pesos, normal price 30 pesos !!! At one time the owner implied some of the drinking glasses were "missing". Generally, he had a very poor attirude to his guests.

Pricey/peaceful/pleasant staff”
Pros: had the family room which is alone on second floor. Very nice. Decent food in restaurant except for the fried calamari which were the worst we had ever. Staff is very nice so is the owner. Pool is nice. Cons: toilets are dirty but that is generalized in the Phillipines even if you pay 200$ a night. Beachfront is rocky and the water pulls back 200 meters over night. Far from town but free shuttle to get there. Spotty wifi.
