If you are looking for a place with a beach front and at the same time with mountain view, El Rio y Mar is the ideal place for you. It is a private resort far from the city hassle. The resort offers for FREE different activities that you don't need to go somewhere else such as Mountain Trekking (Hard and Easy), snorkling, kayaking, paddle boarding, peddal boarding, 2 pool areas, billiards, tablle tennis, movie house, and mini library. You always have something to do even if the weather is not favorable - raining. Other exciting activies for a FEE are Scuba diving, Coron tours, and fish spa at the sea. Dugong Diving Center is owned and managed by well experienced diver with 25+ years of experience in diving across the globe. Dirk, the owner, ensures to provide guests with best diving experience even if you are a first timer and with physical disability. I am sharing based on my experience. As a traveller, another thing for my consideration is the hospitality of the hotel/resort staff for me and my family to feel at-home away from home. The El Rio y Mar Resort's staffs are all kind and always willing to help. You will feel welcome the moment they pick you up from the airport and you will be surprised by the resort staffs with a welcome song the moment you reached the resort. You can enjoy the bar's happy hour at the resort's port from 5pm to 8pm everyday with a perfect sunset view. If you are looking for a city vibe accommodation, I would say this is not the place as this is a private resort and you have to ride a speedboat for 15-min and van for 45-min to reach the city proper for a FEE. If you want to experience both city and nature vibes, the suggested itinerary is to enjoy the city hotels for a couple of days and move to El Rio y Mar Resorts for some nature vibes vice versa. For me and my wife who looked for more nature vibes with different activities to enjoy within the resort, El Rio y Mar is perfect place for us and looking forward to come back with

Peaceful & Private ”
Coron Palawan, undeniably holds a special place in our heart. People are so nice and respectful most of all it’s a safe environment in downtown area. The resort is so peaceful and very private. The service from the airport to the port and finally the resort is so organized. Great staff who knew how to serve the customer and the service was excellent. From the porch , we could view the sea, surrounded by mountains and feel the cool breeze. The view of the sunset from that point was mesmerizing. The location of our room was absolutely perfect. The scenery was beautiful. My boyfriend and I didn’t want to leave the island. We are definitely coming back.

Everything about this place is amazing even though we only stayed for a night in a cedar cabana, starting from the transportation from/to the airport, the welcome greetings with drink, choices of alcoholic drinks, dinner, hike with the view, breakfast, & kayaking/snorkeling. The staff are wonderful & professional.

Awesome stay and small and friendly hotel with excellent dive center”
We really enjoyed our stay at El Rio y Mar. The staff made us feel welcome right from the beginning, the rooms were spacious and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The integrated Dugong Dive Center was an excellent choice as well. We did 3 courses (AOWD, Nitrox, Deep Dive) and many fun dives. The crew is really great and we had some awesome dives at wrecks, the very nice house reef and of course also with dugongs. We can highly recommend the resort, it is one of the best we stayed in our numerous trips to the Philippines in the last 14 years.

An excellent choice to stay in Coron!”
To say that we had a wonderful time here at El Rio Y Mar is an understatement. Our beach-side cottage offered us a spectacular view. Sleeping and waking up to the sound of the waves was an amazing experience. And to top it off, the staff were courteous, pleasant, and very attentive. The Coron Island Tour offered by the resort was top-notch. Andrew, our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Thank you, El Rio Y Mar for an experience we won’t forget!

Amazing overall experience!”
By far the best place I've stayed in Coron! The resort has beautiful views of the ocean and mountains and gorgeous sunsets. Rooms, public toilets and all surrounding areas are always squeaky clean including the beach itself. There's always something to do for everyone too. They have activities for kids in the afternoon such as baking, shirt tie dying and some board games anyone can use. They have darts, billiards and karaoke too. Food is so delicious! They are reasonably priced with a good amount of serving and comes out fresh from the kitchen in no time. Buffet breakfast is a plus with different types of food and teas to choose from. Oh and the staff are amazing! Everyone is very courteous, polite and accommodating. From reception to waiters and cleaners---all of them! They help you with anything and everything even if you haven't asked for it. So happy me and my partner chose this place to spend our first vacation overseas together. We will definitely be back.

Amazing staff and awesome views”
The moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with a song and welcome drinks.I really recommend this place for relaxation as it is far away from everything.From the airport,we rode a van going to a private dock where a speedboat is waiting for us to take us to the resort and the best part is there were only the 2 of us.The moment the resort came into view, it was breathtaking! You can see cabanas lined up in the beach and there was a pathway from the shore going to the bar in the middle of the lake.There's alao a floating massage where the bed has a hole in it where you can see the green waters of the lake underneath.The staff is superb always smiling amd attending to our needs.Our fave was kuya Mark from the bar who whips up great cocktails for us and is just super friendly.This resort is pricey compared to the town hotels but worth every penny.I recommend this resort to anyone who wants peace & quiet.They have free activities too such as kayaking and snorkeling.There are easy and hard hike trails which we did and once you reach the top, you'll be taken away by an amazing view.

The hotel is sited on a remote beach with access only by boat. Rooms are very well appointed and have good facilities. The restaurant offers delicious food and the staff can’t do enough to help.

Amazing resort”
We had a lovely 5 day stay in El Rio. We had a fanstastic time as the staff from the restaurant, housekeeping, diving, reception and all around were extremely hospitable and kind! The food was delicious and the overall views and surounding made us feel that we are in paradise. We will definitely be back here!

Excellent Stay”
The staff at El Rio Y Mar Resort understands service, and delivers it with a smile - they are difference makers! Everything is very clean, and the property is a lovely spot to decompress. Great house reef for snorkeling, nice bay and mangroves for kayaking, and a hiking trail available right from the property. Small but pretty pool area that never felt crowded. Dive operations (separate company - book directly) available on-site.

If you want some relaxation and adventure come to this resort. You can do dugong and pawikan swimming in the morning then snorkeling in the afternoon in their very own house reef. Its one of a kind experience. Food is a bonus.

Beautiful isolated resort”
We spent 3 nights,4 days at El Rio y Mar resort. The resort is beautiful , very clean and with very good water pressure! The staff is also friendly and they welcome you with a nice song. However keep in mind that you are isolated so you depend on the hotel for everything (trips, food and so on). That's why most of the prices are higher than in the town. Also in order to get there you need a boat transport from Maricaban ( they say you only need to pay for it one way) so make sure to contact the hotel on time. We made the reservation quite spontaneously so we had to call like 30 times until someone answered... They offer free SUP and Kayak. Regarding the food we would recommend the filipino specialities, which were delicious ( the pizza was very bad). The breakfast was also nice.

Best for romantic get away”
If you want privacy, peace and quiet, this is the place to be. Cabin #15 was perfect because it was all the way to the end and we had our own little beach. We had a family or two with us at the most so it was truly an island get away for us. Food was good, island tour was well worth it (Darren was an awesome guide), amenities were perfect and the staff were exceptional. Place was really clean too. I highly recommend!

Great for Solo Travellers ”
As a solo traveller I couldn't recommend high enough. The staff & management were so helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed the happy hour that actually last for 3, Jobert the barman is a star & also John in the restaurant was a real pro. You can kayak through the mangroves all included, an unforgettable stay all intold.
