Wonderful Staff but too many problems ”

Have to give full credit to the people working here who continually gave a great effort towards making my stay as good as possible. Without them this place would be a total loss. The power kept going on and off, and with it the wifi. Had to keep going up and down the stairs to get a new code each time, made it difficult to impossible to just relax in my room. Room was functional but very small and narrow. Couldn’t sleep well due to no power / no A/C during night.

Dishonest Employees and Negative Eight Star Hotel”

I have stayed at this hotel for over two weeks, and my room has not been cleaned at all. I have to beg for toilet paper, soap, and a clean towel. Also, I checked out of this hotel, and when I returned, I was placed in the same room which had not been cleaned in two weeks. I asked the owner's son to clean the room, and he told me that he would clean it on the next day. The Syrian boy who cleans the room was available to clean my room, but in order for the owner to be rude, he did not tell the Syrian boy to clean my room. This is not the first time that I have asked for my room to be cleaned. The last time that I asked for my room to be cleaned, Oman(the you female receptionist who works during the day) told me that they did not clean the rooms because of COVID-19. The customer service at this hotel is the worst in Lebanon. I don't know how this hotel still exists. Their standard is extremely low, and their lack of hospitality is unacceptable. There is even trash that is left in the hallway for over three days before the cleaner takes it. There is no excuse for this. This hotel is desperate for money, but they are unwilling to accommodate customers. The toilet stinks, and it does not flush properly, and there is a terrible and strong smell coming from the bedrooms which makes my stomach and head hurt.

Basic and clean in a great location”

Located in the heart a Hamra; a trendy district with fabulous cafe's, pubs, and shops.

The staff at The Embassy hotel were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small, simple and clean. THere is air conditioning, private bathroom and cable TV. Just outside the hotel are tons of delicious cafe's that provide a variety of menus. In addition, there are pubs, coffee shops, and boutiques in the immediate vacinity. FInally, American University of Beirut is a short walk.

Basic Hotel”

Good location, clean
The rooms were a bit musty, overpriced for what you get

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend. The rooms were very basic and the first night smelled of smoke/must. It was ok as we were not in the room very much anyway, but thought the price with high compared to other countries we have visited, but I guess a decent deal for Beirut. When we were walking about though, there were other nicer hotels we would probably try next time. We didn't try the food.

Great location
Expensive for a very basic hotel

I stayed in a very basic room in the Embassy Hotel in Beirut. The bathroom is poor. The staff adequately did there job without being overly friendly or welcoming. The hotel is in a great location in Hamra. It is an easy walk to shops, the corniche, or AUB etc At this price I would choose to stay at other hotels close by if I had the choice.
