Almira Dive Resort is a perfect gateway for eco dive in Panglao. Beautiful property with stunning view of the ocean, extremely hospitable staff and owner and superb food. Great place to dive with a purpose.

The best place to stay if you want a peaceful environment and dive at the same time or snorkel with school of sardines! Their food is decent too! But you need to rent a motorbike if you stay here because it's 15 minutes away from Alona beach.

Friendly and Accomodating Staff”
We got a room with a good price for 5 persons. Some facilities like public washroom needs repair, but overall our stay was nice. And oh, it's a resort with lots of plants, so I'm sure plantitas out there would love to come.

Needs Improvement”
When we checked in, we immediately went to the shore to enjoy the sea. We totally enjoyed it. The sardines could be seen only a few meters away from the Cliffside. This is where the good part of my review ends. At night time, the place had too many mosquitoes which was expected since there were a lot of trees in the area. The management could have at least done something like plant Nim trees or smoke the place to drive away the mosquitoes. Also eating here is not as enjoyable as there are dogs and cats moving around and even getting on the table at times. We were able to access the kitchen, and it was full of cats. Outside of the mosquitoes and other animals roaming around, we would have given the place 5 stars. IT still needs improvement on these parts as we enjoyed the sea so much, it’s the reason why we checked in. For now we will give it 3 stars to push for more improvement. Thank You.

Terrible place totally abandonned”
The place is abandonned, infected by mosquitoes. The pool is so dirty that you don't even dare to get in. There are at least 20 dogs in front of the doors, barking all night long. Mud everywhere and a deserted restaurant which doesn't even provide breakfast.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Almira Diving Resort. The staff collected us at the airport and we knew that we were in good hands at all times. The Resort is in a very quiet location, perfect if wanting to just relax without the hustle and bustle, and the pool was amazing. The grounds are immaculate. The room was spotless. The food was wonderful too. We plan to return to Almira Diving Resort in the near future.

Great shore scuba diving!”
We love our stay! Scuba diving right off the shore down the stairs off the cliff. Beautiful coral and school of fish! It was exactly what we wanted a secluded relaxing spot to shore dive! You can rent tanks and gear from the neighboring resort and shore dive. The food was really good. Sandy the manager was so helpful and nice. You can rent a scooter to get around, we went to the bee farm for dinner a few times, amazing food there about 15- 20 min scooter ride. The pool was so clean and refreshing. We just loved our stay and look forward to coming back!

The place is far from the city but I love how secluded it is. What I really love the most about this place is the service, they upgraded our room even we arrived late at the resort from deluxe to premier. On our 2nd day, my friends and I were so hungry.. since it's too far from the city we don't know were to buy food and we were advised that the resort's food hall will be close because of some emergency. We saw "Ate" (don't know her name) and we asked her if there's a store that we can order food, without hesitation she volunteered to cook for us. (So kind and sweet!!!) By the way, this place is so calm and peaceful perfect for relaxation. :)

Good Hospitality”
What i like about this resort is the hospitality of the staff. I believed that no matter how expensive or beautiful the hotel or resort if the Management or staff doesnt have a good attitude it always reflect the image of the establisnment. The cliff also adds attraction to the resort, we felt so exclusive during our stay since we dont really want very crowded location. The shuttleservice is also important for the resort since its far from the mainroad. So overall my family had a great time during our stay. I can recommend this to my relative and friends.

Clean But Far From Main Road”
+ : room is clean, comfortable bed, nice swimming pool, nice staff, access to the sea for snorkling but not the same as snorkling when doing hopping island (no beach, sharp coral), delicious breakfast, hotel can arrange tour for island hopping or diving group - : the location is near the cliff so far from main road (dark road when night), water off in the night so you need to make sure your bucket always full (you can switch on the pump from the electricity pole in the garden), so should ask the staff to make up the room.

We had a nice time staying at this resort,the staff were especially accomodating (hi Belen! She's the chef there,miss ur tuyong adobo😔) we craved seafood and bought some from the market and they cooked it the way we requested, the cooking charge was reasonable.we stayed there mainly for the privacy but when we wanted to explore alona beach we availed of their service van.will definitely go back there again,the place is great for couples or families on vacation.

The service from the staff was first class. There was a local tricycle driver Alex who would take you in to town and back. Food was good on the resort and swimming pool was great.

very disapointing, felt ripped off”
We arrived at Almira to find out that they were fully booked despite our reservation (not the first time it happens on this trip). They took us to another hotel next to them which was a lot more basic, without even apologising for the inconvenience nor offering anything in return. The day after we moved to Almira and got room number 1, I have never in my life seen that many mosquitos in one room! It is also very close to the kitchen and therefore quite noisy. We rented a motorbike the first night through the hotel, It was old, unreliable and we had to argue to get helmets. When we returned, there was nobody at reception so the night guard told us to just park it and keep the keys until the next morning. Next day they wanted us to pay half day extra for returning it 20 minutes late (not that they would've rented at that time anymore). On top of that, they had assured us that we could have dinner there that night (the night before the restaurant was closed), and it turned out that the cook had left at 7.00. Despite bing situated on a nice cliff, it is very far from everything else, the closest town is 15 minutes motorbike ride and the main beach with the restaurants it's about half an hour by motorbike.

The family wasnt able to sleep as their room was right infront of the pool. Staff didnt tell the family that there will be a pool party that will go til 3am. Its just bad. Wifi wasnt working aswell. Also, their room was next to the laundry room, and everytime someone goes in and out of that room, the door would hit the wall of the family's room. Sad.

The staff didnt clean our room once we were on a tour. Linens, towels and toiletries didnt change even we stayed for 2days. No back up generator, We experience power outage. We booked 5pax, it tells on my voucher that occupancy is 5 but the staff told me that our room is for 4pax. So we inly have 4 free breakfast and we need to pay for extra breakfast for our 2 days stay. Lastly the staff switch off everything in our room including the aircon which is very inappropriate behavior since we havent check out yet
