Excellent hotel”
We had another good stay at the Apex Haymarket, the room was spacious and clean we had new bottles of water and biscuits every day. The bathroom was clean and the hotel was an easy short walk into Edinburgh. We will stay again.

Convenient location”
we arrived just after midday and were lucky as our room was already available. friendly and helpful receptionist. the room was comfortable as expected per hotel category. the room was wheelchair friendly - a facility every hotel should have - however, the bathroom was just not user-friendly for non-wheelchair users as sink and toilet was very low. open shower without curtain, so bathroom was flooded after our showers. but again, we arrived early and that was maybe the reason why they allocated this room to us. the hotel offered a free car park at the rear of the hotel which was the main reason we decided to stay at apex european hotel in the first place. bus stops right in front of hotel into city. still walking is an alternative option. took us only 15 - 20 minutes into heart of edinburgh which we really enjoyed.

Totally, it is very nice hotel in Edinburgh. Located in close to Haymarket station, it is easy access to everywhere including airport. Staffs are very kind and keep the room very clean, so the stay was very comfortable! Althoguh I feel little bit expensive, it includes free WiFi, maybe it is fine in Europe or in UK.

Very enjoyable and if we go back we would stay there again. Good service allround, close to bus9 out side the front door)Many good restaurants nearby and bus is the way to travel into Edinburgh on a day pass. Highly recommended, excellent value.

Have used the hotel on previous occasions”
Quite satisfied with the rooms and restaurant. Lift was out of order the whole weekend, my wife is semi-invalid, both nearly 80 yr old, booked on the third floor no offer to carry our luggage upstairs. Only offered ground floor after complaining. The car park was also closed from midnight Sun for repairs so forced to use public parking, still no activity in the car park at 0900 when we booked out. Surely a lift technician could have been called out to attend to the lift. Will we use the hotel again????

Nice hotel - Great service”
Its my second time in this hotel and I enjoyed it very much. the reception team are very nice, welcoming and helping... the people who refresh the room are very nice - I wrote them a note asking for another duck and I got one! :) Location was perfect, buses, train and not very long walk to the princess st. rooms are small but nice and it really doesn't matter as I was just sleeping and waking up in it :)

Recommended Hotel”
Besides the pros as listed, there was another point that I liked about the flexibility of this hotel. 1 day before my check in, i changed my mind to check out on a Saturday weekend to visit other place. Just when the terms stated about changes, the quick response to acknowledge my change let me spend my vacation comfortably. Thanks!

actually I made a small mistake when I booked. I thought the train station near the hotel is Waverley so we walked a very long distance to find it. But inside the hotel nearly everything was very good. and the neighbourhood is the famous west end. we loved the architectures there.

Great place to stay/excellent customer service ”
Very impressed with female receptionist on arrival. Very professional and friendly. We found all staff to be very helpful. Location good for getting to/from airport and a 10/15 min walk to Princes St. Great bus service also just outside hotel. Paid £10 for full breakfast on 2 morns of our stay and we never had the full breakfast, just the continental. Expensive breakfast (dont agree to full b'fast on arrival). Can highly recommend La Bruschetta, Italian restaurant, close by for dinner.Will def stay here again.

Comfortable and accessible to city attractions”
The room was spacious, well equipped and has a wide range of TV channels. There was complimentary Wifi service but it requires a multi-step login process each time your device is logged out of the network. While the bathroom was spacious too, its design was a little odd as water from the shower cubicle flows towards the toilet area, the latter which is closer to the bathroom door. This results in a puddle near the door and could be a safety hazard. The hotel was also a little difficult to drive to and from by car, as many of the surrounding roads were closed due to construction works. In hindsight, I felt the hotel could have proactively offered this information to arriving guests as an FYI, which would have been greatly helpful.

Easy stop from airline bus”
Good stay for overnight but you have to take bus to go to the royal mile. If you plan to book for tours for Edinburgh out of town trips, better to book near the royal mile which has a lot of shops , restos in the area... The room was small n no Aircon or heating, just open the window... Good if weather temp around 14-15C, there are no good places to eat nearby .

Good location with a bus stop right in front of the hotel. In fact, it is located in a walking distance to Princes street if you enjoy a 10 minutes' walk.

A bit of a walk but good attention to detail”
We stayed here for the Hogmany festival and had a great stay. The bed was truly comfortable and although it is a bit out of town, the walk is only about 15 minutes to the grass market.
