If you are looking for somewhere cheap to live, then this will be a choice. However, u need to share bathroom and toilet with others. U need to walk 2 floors up the staircase, no lift is provided. And remember to bring your own towel, shampoo, toothbrush, and toothpaste.

Good introduction to Japan.”
Asakusa is a great introduction to Tokyo and Japan. Hostel is clean and friendly. Beds are a bit creaky but acceptable. Japanese style living area is a bit hard on the back/legs but better get used to it. Overall a good experience and would stay there again if we are in Tokyo.

Second Time Stay”
This is the second time I stay in this hostel and there are quite a lot of changes than before. There are Free Tea & Coffee provided now!! The Tatami common area is still comfortable and the roof became a good place to relax. All the travellers watched FIFA 2014 together that night and the atmosphere was really awesome. The staffs here are so friendly that they told us a lot about Japanese cultures and some Japanese phrases. Arigato! Hope that I can see all of you again when I come to Asakusa next time!

as female travelers we were concerned about safety and cleanliness when choosing our accomodation. we had a lovely, fuss free stay and made new friends at this hostel. it looked newly refurbished and was well-kept and well-appointed. such a relief to finally have a hairdryer!!! the location was good even though it's not on a main road, it's streets are fairly busy and ewe never felt unsafe. it's walking distance to the tawaramachi metro and asakusa metro which is great. cheap food around and close to places of interest.

room and bathroom is clean and comfortable. Five Mins walk to Asakusa Temple and to Tokyo Metro. Good restaurant around here. Staff is friendly and helpful and good English speaking.

This hostel is so good. I was very scared of what I was going to find, given the low price but instead I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are clean, the common living room has a japanese vibe to it and the shower and toilet area is also very clean. Japanese style, very organized and very pleasant to stay in. Also, the hostel is very well located. You can find restaurants, shopping area, post office and subway nearby!

For the price of $50 CAD a night, we stayed here on our first night in Tokyo. It was a little difficult to find but once we did, we were glad that the staff at this hostel spoke English. They were very friendly and was able to provide information to nearby attractions as well as telling us how to get to Hakone (our next destination in Japan). The rooms were clean, but rather old..which is fine since this was a hostel and many travelers go in and out of the place. The washrooms are shared (1 for men and 1 for women) and the nice thing is that it includes shampoo, toothpaste, and body wash. There is free wi-fi which is great because wi-fi is hard to come by in Tokyo, and we were able to plan for the next day. There is a shared living room with a TV that you can rest in. For a short stop (1 night), I would recommend staying here if you are on a budget.

it must be noted that there are two different asakusa stations. this hotel is nearby asakusa stations (tsukuba express line), not asakusa stations (tobu/subway line). other than that, it's on great location with many amenities (some 24h) around. walking distance to asakusa station and asakusa temple. the place itself is quiet, very clean although a bit old, and we love the japanese style. the staff speaks good english and helpful. overall, we would recommend this place.

Hostel in general has a relaxed atmosphere, however, the stair to the guestrooms area are too narrowed and steep, difficult to carry the big luggage up and down the stair. Toilets and shower rooms were very clean (only thing missing was soap and shampoo). The floor was in not very good condition so every time someone walked through it, you could hear it even you are inside the room. This need an immediate attention from the hostel owner. Only 2 minutes away from Tsukuba Asakusa. The hostel location was a bit hard to get to at first. ROX, the department store 2 blocks away has a great food store in the basement. The shopping street around Asakusa temple is just minutes away.
