- staff well trained, very helpful and professional - hotel i used regularly pre-covid and just returned to using bloc and it is well maintained, very clean and tidy - rooms are very comfortable and decor/fittings good quality and stylish finish - very quiet rooms, you can relax, get a good nights rest and have everything to hand to get ready in the morning - location is excellent just off St. Paul’s square and 2mins walk to historic jewellery quarter, 10 mins walk to colmore row

Modern hotel with amazing value!”
I really enjoyed my stay here, which was situated right in the jewellery quarter, making it an easy walk to go to the many restaurants and museums nearby. Love the modern contemporary feel of the rooms, with the wet room and lovely toiletries. Will definitely return again!

Perfect”
Long time old friends, from different part of the country, meeting up & needed somewhere to rest our heads for the night - Bloc was the perfect choice - on location, on price, parking & ease to get to. Area feels safe & within walking distance to the centre. Staff efficient, informative & friendly. We each had the pod rooms, without windows. Basic, Super clean, great TV, welcoming en-suite/wet room & comfortable bed. Controlling the room temperature was awesome. AC that allows you to be cold to super warm. Had a good night sleep but be aware that the walls are not insulated & you may hear your neighbour snoring! Thank you Bloc for looking after us girls.

Quite location near to the centre”
Jewellery quarter was ideal for our trip. A short walk to a few little jems! The Bloc room we had was a suite on the third floor.. Lounge and kitchenette perfect with a fridge. Good en-suite!!

BEST BUDGET HOTEL IN BIRMINGHAM ”
I booked my room at a ridiculously good price, so could have expected to be let down. However, the rooms (although small) are SPOTLESS and have all that you could want for a short stay. I personally loved the quirky Japanese-pod style room and really enjoyed my stay, It is also great to be located in the Jewellery Quarter- just a 15-20 minute walk to the center of town, yet in the quieter, up-and-coming suburbs of the JQ, with its independent shops and venues. The only qualms I had were the hard mattresses and lack of sound proofing (I could hear my neighbors TV etc). However, these were a small price to pay for booking a room at such an incredible price. If in doubt, book to stay here.

All good : quiet rooms, stylish decor, location better than in the middle of city but walking distance to colmore row. One thing that bugs though is the TV: needs to be sorted because you scroll up through the channels and half come up weak or no signal, the other half are the same channel coming up multiple times. So it boils down to very little choice of channels to watch and very frustrating finding every other channel is not available or one thats already at another location. You cant screen mirror but its a smart tv. Maybe allow clients to mirror their iPads etc. Most people watch netflix, YouTube, or use iplayer, itv hub.

Just what's needed at a good price”
The hotel had just what we needed in a room, just somewhere cheap and cheerful to sleep and freshen up in the morning, I loved the decor and the simple, no-frills approach of this kind of hotel and would look to booking a Bloc hotel in future travels.
