Situated in the City of London, Crowne Plaza London - The City features free WiFi, and 2 restaurants and 2 bars. On the north side of the River Thames, it is close to popular jogging trails. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the historic Temple district and 1 mile from the vibrant Southbank area. Perfect location ”

The Crowne Plaza London was a perfect place to stay. It was recommended to us by another couple who stayed here in the past. The location is central to the Thames River. We walked up and down both sides to enjoy food entertainment and all the attractions. The London Eye, Big Ben, and so much more within walking distance. The hotel was very clean, staff is amazing and they also have a few restaurants and bars. Breakfast was very good also. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Great experience”

So clean, well appointed, excellent staff. The value for the money was beyond expectations. Easy access to so many things via the tube. Only location drawback is that Sundays most things are closed in the neighbourhood. Restaurants are exceptional as well. Loved this hotel.

Be careful of double paying ”

The check-in was smooth and went well. However at checkout the receptionist “Maria” refused to give me a bill for my stay as I did not book directly from the hotel website! She said contact Agoda!! The second thing is that I was charged twice, once by Agoda when completing the booking and the second time by the same check out receptionist as she thought my stay was not paid!!! I am still waiting for my refund.

Comfortable ”

The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable
The location was probably not good for us as it was in a business district. However standard was good

The Crowne plaza is a very comfortable and modern hotel The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The staff was courteous and they gave us the opportunity to upgrade which we did. That enabled us to use the business section of the hotel on the executive floor and this was great. The breakfast was quite well catered for and the staff was courteous and quite helpful. However the hotel is situated in the business district of London right near all the law courts. Its not really near the shopping district. However the Tate Art galleries were close by.I would recommend this hotel to lawyers its great location for them as they can walk to court.

A good city stay”

Two double beds, fast check in, modern room

I chose this hotel as there were two double beds in the room so suitable for myself and my two daughters. The location was great for sightseeing, close to the tube station. We only stayed one night and were very comfortable, the beds were fantastic, also the aircon was most welcome as it was one of Londons hot days.

Week in Town”

Great location, tube line just over the road, Tescos and other shopa all around the hotel. Great room, easy to walk everywhere from this location. Really REALLY enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was excellent and there was a lot of choice. STAY HERE!

Mixed feelings”

Central, SOME good staff, clean

I pre-booked and paid for a more expensive premium room, but on check-in was given a standard room on the first floor. On rechecking with reception I was assured that this was a premium room. The next day, upon checking my friends premium rooms I realised that this was not the case. I checked with a different receptionist and was told yes I was in a standard room would I like to move. This was troublesome and made worse by the fact that I believed I had been lied to by the first receptionist. Puzzling! On two nights we were intending to dine at the Italian restaurant or the Chinese restaurant in the upper lobby but we were inclined to move on by the horrible smell in that lobby, outside the restaurants. It seemed to be present day and night during our stay. Mysterious! Further, we had chosen this hotel because of its closeness to Blackfriars River Cruise pier. Unfortunately, we were there on the weekend, and the Blackfriars Pier is closed on Saturday and Sunday meaning we have to walk a very long distance to other piers. Overall it is quite a nice hotel, but perhaps not great value , considering it's fairly high price.

Convenient ”

It was Christmas so there were Christmas parties taking place in the bar/club of the hotel which made it quite loud. the location is perfect, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would go back.
