Small & Brilliant hotel with professional services”
i booked this hotel 1 night and contacted them to arrange the airport picking up servcie, they gave very new and comfortable car above my expectation with cheap price as i took 1 hour from the airport to hotel. the staff were very helpful to welcome me to this hotel it is reason i choosed this hotel again for my travelling to hanoi since i am working and staying in ho chi minh city. any time i come they have plentiful welcome drinks i can choose, i love vietnamese green tea as i took this drink on my first step in this hotel. just seconds to check in and very safe when i left my passport at reception. i like to study vietnamse so the staff spent time to teach me the vietnamese and of course seat to drink green tea with them at night. thanks for mr vinh - night reception teach me vietnamese so much. as most of tourists i would like to join halong bay trip and sapa trip, i was recommended by my friends with some travel agents in hanoi, i came to check and compare the services and price with hotel services i choosed hotel services as they showed me which were real boat i was considering and which were not real so it is very easy to enjoy my trip in hanoi. hotel room was very comfortable, clean and great breakfast with many choices, it is very value for price i paid. hotel located at right old quarter center but it was not too noisy and very easy to find good restaurant that were recommended hotel staff i loved lady bird restaurant with vietnamese food. i will come back and stay at this hotel when i have chance travel to hanoi

“Green is the color of Hope, which is what this pl”
Warmly welcome, helpful staff, clean room and great location. After bad trip from airport to Hotel, I took the taxi to hotel by myself from the Hanoi airport, so bad driver he charged me over price and he wanted to put me at another hotel, I said "NO, take me to Green Street Hotel". on the way to hotel, I hoped that hotel was better, it was perfect with smiling and helpful staff, I could check in early with free of charge, welcome drinks. I loved warmly atmosphere of this hotel. Little bit noisy in the early morning by the traffic, but i think this is old quarter busy street. Thanks ms Ha and Viet - the professional staff who help me to arrange all my trip in Vietnam, they also suggested me huge tourism information in Cambodia and the best way combine to visit between Ho Chi Minh City and Phnom Penh, it is very useful.

Above Average”
I really enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere at Green Street Hotel. As soon as I arrived they provided me with a hot cup of tea, and check-in took seconds. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the room had a lovely smell. The free breakfast was more than adequate. Located right in the centre of the old quarter, all tourist destinations are within easy reach. Although a noisy part of the city, I didn't hear anything in my room, #303, and was not disturbed at all. The television also had a high number of channels- a lot more than some of the higher priced hotels provide. I would definitely stay here again- in this case the low price I paid was certainly not a reflection of the high level of service provided.

What a brilliant hotel !”
Wow. The best place we stayed in Viet Nam trip hands down. The staff are lovely and extremely helpful giving us advice and assistance on everything from good restaurants in the Old Quarter (69), motorbike rental (sorted out 5 bike rentals for us), directions (to the Water park 8km north), laundry (returned by next morning in a plastic shrink wrap), airport pickup/return and not least a discounted 3 day Halong Bay trip!! :) This is all in addition to the usual taxi bookings! Basically the staff made the experience, there were I think just 4 or 5 of them and always attentive. The included breakfast was basic but wholesome, especially I have time to test traditional coffee I swear it is amazing coffee I have tasted like the love returned. The ensuite rooms where also good, fantastic in fact, for the price. Not large though due to the width and height of the property. Lastly, an important aspect was that they put all the above on to the final bill at the end. ie: we didnt pay for the airport pickup, bike rentals, halong bay trip, taxis or ANYTHING till we left Hanoi and Vietnam after we arrived. They dealt with the cost to the providers straight up. We were even able to leave on the Halong bay trip for 3 days then returned. I can't promise this will happen when you go, but it certainly made a difference for us at Green Street. Would certainly stay again if travelling in the Vietnam capital! Was very sad to leave the country.

Great Location but Noisy”
We are a couple in our 30s and booked a superior room. The room contained one large sized bed, which was very comfortable and one single and was a little cramped - it would be too small for more than a couple. There was air-con, a fridge, a phone and a small tv with cable (good reception) and was clean, although the bathroom is very small and the shower head is very low. The room was on the street side so was quite noisy, there is only a view of the other side of the street. The stair case is very narrow and you may find it difficult to climb up and down after walking the streets all day. I would recommend booking a superior room with twin beds if there are only 2 of you, as they are located at the back of the hotel, away from the street. Breakfast is included. The staff are extremely helpful and don't push tours on you, particularly, if like us, you prefer to create your own tours. Located in the Old Quarter, it is easy to get lost, but they provide you with a map. All buildings in Hanoi are tall and narrow, so the rooms will be quite small. Some rooms in the hotel have no windows, so request a room with.

If you have to stay in Hanoi, stay here.”
The hotel was excellent and reasonably priced. Old Quarter Hanoi is too crowded, cramped, and noisy for my taste, but that's not the hotel's fault. Green Street Hostel(that's what their sign says) provided a nice private room with private bathroom, making a great base for sightseeing around Hanoi. I was not interested in the offered tours to Halong Bay, since I planned to head over there to stay for several days anyway. Good food for breakfast, served by the less friendly members of the staff.

Great Location and Good Value for Money”
This is my second time at Green Street Hotel and I had a great time there. The staff performance was excellent, they provided everything I requested during my stay. They also secured my favourite room in the hotel, which is quieter and has better wifi than my previous room. I would definitely come back there when in Hanoi.

Location excellent in the middle of the old town”
i have just returned from hanoi on a city break. i really recommend it if you are on a budget as the rooms are spotless and the location is great. firstly the room itself - i booked a deluxe room and e-mailed the hotel requesting a room with twin beds and a big window- which is exactly what we got. the room was spacy, the bathroom was small with a good shower though, but, it was spotlessly clean, really good beds. our room overlooked hotel’s street, and was cleaned every day with fresh towels left. the reception staff where extremely helpful! perfect english and so a big thankyou !!! the girl who works as sales manager can help you a lots if you are considering about traveling to anywhere, by her great recommendation. we had visited halong bay, sapa, perfume pagoda, and a short tour to visit hanoi. they were really worth! location superb, 5 min walk to the lake, 15-20 in walk to dong xuan market. i would definitely recommend if you are on a budget and just want somewhere clean and convenient. i hope to return next year, and, will definitely be staying here again!!. cons - none

A quiet sanctuary from hectic Hanoi”
green street hotel may be too close to the heart of town. right in the old quarter of hanoi, it is just too hectic. luckily, once the door to the room is closed, breathe a sigh of relief. room has a refrigerator, air con, cable tv, good wifi internet, and peace and quiet. almost no reason to face the perils of hanoi with such a delightful sanctuary to relax in. staff is fine, except for the breakfast servers -- obviously they hate their job. breakfast offers the choice of about 10 different things, so good variety, but lousy service.

basic hostel with a good location”
Do not be confused with the name 'hotel' when you arrive you will find green street hostel. Our stay was ok, the room was clean with a fridge. Ask them to have a room at the back because the main road is unbelievably noisy and it is almost impossible to sleep. Breakfast were nice even though you don't have much choices. I would recommend this hotel for a couple of nights while staying in old quarter.

Great location and price”
Excellent hotel/hotel on Ma May street in the middle of the old quarter of Hanoi. The rooms are excellent value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful and will arrange tours at a reasonable price. Breakfast is basic but prepared fresh and given it is included in the room price it is nothing to complain about. Would stay here again.

Fine hotel, awful tours.”
It was overbooked when we arrived, we were shuffled to a room at his friends hotel that was dirty really dirty. The next day right after breakfast he sold us on 2 tours saying they were more pricey but way nicer than any tour on the street better food better rooms etc. That was not the case! We paid much more like double what everyone else on the tour paid room had mild no heat and was beyond gross, staff at the hotel were rude at best and good was sub-par. We actually ate out instead of eating the food at the hotel. Stay at the green street hotel but don't let the slick talking greaser suck you into his overpriced tours

Great Location, Nice Rooms”
The Green Street is located in the heart of things in the Old Town. This is great for finding restaurants but the street outside can be a tad noisy. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and spoke excellent english, and the breakfast was simple but good. Absolutely nothing to complain about.

Good Location in the Old Quarter”
The staff speak good english and were accommodating. We had no problems during our stay in the Green Street Hotel (the sign on the front of the building says "Green Street Hostel").

Decent hotel with big rooms and a good location”
One of the cheapest hotels/hostels in Hanoi but it was spot on. The rooms were big with a fairly powerful shower and constant hot water. Breakfast was basic but was pretty good. Location was close to most things with plenty of bars and restaurants around, if your looking for a good night out then Hanoi Backpackers which is only a couple of doors up the road is the place to go. Even though it is on a busy street the hotel isnt noisy if you want a good night sleep.

Nice big rooms and perfect service”
We really enjoyed our stay at Green Street Hotel. We had a great room with a nice bed. Internet was a bit slow though. We book two tours, a bit expencive compared to value so maybe we would recommend guests to look around in the city for cheaper tours. The staff was really helpful and service minded. We would stay here again!

Central location with friendly staff”
This hostel (felt more like a hotel but the sign says hostel) is located right in the middle of the old quarter and close to some great restaurants (try New Day restaurant) and all the tour operator offices. There is no lift which may be a problem for some so bare that in mind if you get a room on the 4th floor- check the room before- we had to move rooms due to a broken shower head and ended up on the 4th floor with a much larger room but the wifi no longer worked (4th floor). Included breakfast is basic but good for the price and at least you can pick from a menu!

Great Little Hotel for All Ages”
This hotel was great If I may say so myself. It was a cozy room that had a perfect location. Its on one of the main touristy streets in Hanoi, close to great shopping and cheap dining places, and even great nightclubs and bars. The room was okay too, I had one where my window was facing into a open courtyard which was cute too.I recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget and looking for somewhere nice and basic to stay!
