Pros Great cabins for the price you pay, facilities inc. Bathroom are very clean. Staff is especially friendly and helpful, please talk to Nozji or Aya if you want to fill up your itinerary. Breakfast is quite good with homemade salads each morning. Cons Bed was creaky at times so it may have awoken bottom bunk patron.

Fine for a couple of nights”
If you are someone who can live without anything too luxurious (such as your own bathtub, a King-sized bed, etc), then Grids is perfectly fine for you to stay in for a few nights. Don't expect too much room to throw your things around (you shouldn't do so anyway). The wifi is fast and available in all parts of the hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful as well.

Good hostel for group travel”
Pros: It’s in a great location and the staff speaks good English. The rooms are clean and there are safe lockers to store your stuff. Cons: the rooms are extremely tight. You have your bunk beds and a small walk way in the rooms. And the showers and toilets are small too. Very cramped and almost to the point of claustrophobic. The worst part about this place is there’s only ONE elevator and you can’t use the stairs to get up and down. It’s only for emergencies. And if you want to do laundry, there’s only 2 washers and 1 dryer. And it’s VERY SMALL. You can’t put a lot in there and the dryers and dry very well.

The hostel got everything you need. Clean sheet and bed. Air con. Clean toilets. Big shower room. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It’s a place where you can have a good sleep and head out exploring the city.

I stayed 4-shared room and that hostel has one shower room per floor. Even if the hostel has the common area but, in my view, that space is too narrow for a number of people. However, the hostel is good to make friend with other guys because the hostel has an event on special day, new year day, for example.

Stayed in female room. You have to prepare your bed. Dusty and uncomfortable. The bathroom is dirty too.

Fantastic hostel with friendly staff”
I stayed in Grids hostel for 3 weeks in Tokyo and thought the location and cleanliness of the hostel was great. the staff were terrific and very friendly and I really enjoyed the chilled out atmosphere of the common area with different movies on all the time. I would definitely recommend grids to any one coming to Tokyo as I definitely enjoyed my stay.

Great for a backpacker's visit to Tokyo”
This is my second time at Grids, and it was just as good as I remember it! For the price, you're getting a pretty good deal, with a great range of amenities and a sweet location close to the station. Definitely worth checking out if you're seeking something comfortable, but not too expensive.

Consistent, clean and comfortable - a great value find!”
This is my second time at Grids, and this time I brought a friend with me. It was still the comfortable and convenient location I experienced the first time, and I was glad to see that the staff were as accommodating as ever! Consistency is one of their strongest points, and I would recommend this hostel to the budget traveler looking for somewhere good to stay.

Safe, Clean and Convenient”
10 minute walk to Akihabara, very safe. I really liked my fancier bunk that was built into the wall that doesn't rattle like a usual bunk bed. Also really liked having my own tall locker. Only small downside is they don't offer you towels, toothbrush, combs etc. for free like other Japanese hostels I've stayed at.

The place was great. It is very clean. The receptionist are very accommodating. It is what I have expected as I have read from other reviews and seen pictures in the internet. It's a good place to stay. It's very near to Asakusabushi station. There's a family mart and a lot of restaurants and fastfoods nearby. I will definitely stay here again if I'll visit Tokyo.

Book well in advance, well worth the spend”
Located in quiet neighbourhood, easy walking access to Akihabara, trains to Asakusa and further Shinjuku districts, the place is a good alternative for those who don't prefer capsule hotels. With full-length and kingsingle sized sturdy bunk beds, 2 clean large showers and several toilets per floor, good AC and filtered air, good night's rest is assured. Also 600¥ buffet continental breakfast downstairs in the reception/cafe, this is a good place as long as you book well in advance for minimum 30% discount.

Near Asakusabashi Station and JR chuo Sobu line. Along the way to Station, there’s a lots of local restaurants, convenient shop. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast and I had great stay at here!

We booked a twins room but got upgraded to a 6-ppl room, which is on the top floor. We can see a bit of the Skytree from our window. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Everything is neat and clean.
