Beautiful views, wonderful hotel”
Really nice hotel for the price. Most amenities we’ve seen in a while, plus the views are breathtaking. We had a car, so we easily drove into the city in about 10 minutes. There’s also a grocery store right across the street. WiFi and parking were included. Breakfast was not, but they offered a good deal for guests.

The thing i like most is the staff and the room. The price was a bit pricey as we booked on the last minute for year end stay (fair enough). Location is about 30-40 mins walking to city but still acceptable to walk, and not expensive by uber.

Typical Holiday Inn at Edinburgh ”
Room size is bigger than average UK hotel, since the location is not near downtown. It is a typical Holiday Inn style, however there is laundry room as in USA. The reception staff is really helpful and recommended a nice laundromat with reasonable prices. I recommend the hotel because of the professional and useful services.

holiday inn edinburgh city west is located in the comfortable area that you can easily get the bus into city certre of edinburgh. besides it is near the big superstore that you can find something to eat whenever you want. due to its location that is a little bit up on the hill, you can view the beautiful city from the window in your room. the room that i stayed is very clean and well functioned. check in and out services do not take a long time. everything is good. i loved it.

Nice and big hotel”
Hotel is located just outside the city, and opposite a large supermarket. It offers free parking for guests and there is no problem finding an available lot. There is a direct bus to the city from a bus stop just outside the hotel, hence it's convenient. Room is very clean and spacious and so is the toilet. We had a view of the city from our room and it was magnificent. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. There are quite many facilities/amenities available including a restaurant but we did not use those so we can't comment.

Comfortable but some distance from the city”
The cleanliness, comfort and friendly service at the front desk was what we had expected of the Holiday Inn based on our earlier stay.. However, this Edinburgh hotel lacked the warmth which had free wifi in the rooms, a bar in the lobby and lots of information about the city. We could not even get a decent map from the counter. The water pressure for the shower was disappointing. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel had a great view of the city. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious.

given what we paid for this hotel, i was astonished that it was so good. the rooms were a decent size, friendly and flexible reception, easy parking. really very pleasantly surprised. we had booked it purely on price and proximity to the airport and so expected much, much less. all in all, very positively and pleasantly surprised.

Having stayed at other hotels of the same grade, this one was a better run unit. he only problem I had, was the TV in the bar lounge was faulty for 2 days, so no pint and no football on TV to watch.
