Convenient for Media City and The Lowry”
We switched to this hotel for our regular stay in Manchester - it had a competitive price , with free wi-fi ( we were fed up of paying 10 pounds plus per day at our previous location) walking distance to trams for central manchester and walking distance to the Lowry Mall . The location is very modern and there is some building work ongoing but there are several bars ,restaurants and a costa coffee within minutes and it has quite a buzzy atmosphere being right next to the new BBC complex. You do have to pay for parking but the hotel give 50 % off the standard rate so its only 7 GBP per day . Only one complaint its not very well signposted we were not the only guests who had to ask in the end to find the entrance. Overall though we were satisfied and would go back - would also be very convenient for Old Trafford Football stadium.

Smart hotel on the edge of a wasteland”
located adjacent to the mediacity complex amidst the on going restoration of the salford keys the tall holiday inn is clearly earmarked for the media businessman. in fact looking around the bar on the night that we stayed there were no other guests besides media execs. the hotel is handy for the new waterfront developments such as the lowry and imperial war museum north but it is still surrounded by the look and feel of a building site. the hotel lacks any kind of character but offers reassuring fixtures and fittings of high quality - just what you would expect from a holiday inn, in fact. one annoying feature, though, is the lack of parking. don't be tempted to park in the bays outside of the main entrance as you are likely to get clamped by one of those nasty little companies who specialize in putting up microscopically small warning notices and then wheel clamps you at the first opportunity. the release fee is and they've claimed many victims, the reception staff informed us. this means that you have to move away to a ridiculously expensive hi-rise parking facility just to park over night - something which was not advertised on holiday inn's website at the time of booking.

Exceptional”
located near to tram station. should you want to book this hotel when there is a home match at Old Trafford, then this is the best place. Old Trafford is within 10 mins away. there are also some restaurants near the hotel.

Short city break ”
This hotel is clean and convenient , there is parking near bye in a muti storey which you have to pay for , so make sure you add this on to your bill when you look at the price . The Hotel is in the Salford Quays area which is the newly developed waterfront river area ,so its quite peaceful , with an easy ride to the city centre . In my experience Holiday inns seem to always have nice clean rooms at good value , but the drawback is there is never enough staff or service , in other words the staff reception area is always quite busy , and when you phone for service from the room you may not always get someone ,unless you are ordering food service . I would recommend this hotel to my associates , its good value , clean rooms , nice new hotel .

Secluded, modern and nice.”
My husband enjoyed our stay there as it is our first time in Manchester hence we got a chance to walk to the Old Trafford Stadium and enjoy the scenery while at it. It's at the media city (offices and such) so over weekends it seems rather quiet and dead with nothing much around. It is quite close to this mall where you can shop a little and dine. All's good. I don't mind coming back here. It seems to be the best hotel around this area. The rest are smaller inns.

Good, but not more than expectation”
Close to old trafford. Can walk to the stadium. A cafe in the lobby, not bad. The room is in line with other Holiday Inn hotel, clean but not big. The parking is in next building, and parking fee is quite high, not free. The reception is busy, sometimes you need wait for quite long time for check-in/out or other affairs.

Nice rooms”
The hotel is new, so everything looks new and modern. The purpose of my stay was to visit the Old Trafford Stadium, is a comfortable 20 mins walk. The front desk lady also allowed me for a late check out with a wide smile. Metro stops 2 mins away, but tourist have to ride for 15 - 20 mins (include waiting time) to reach city centre. Mainly recommended for business at the Mediacity also to MAN U fans.

Ideal location which is just a stone throw away the tram station at Mediacityuk. Had a good rest because of the very comfortable king size bed. Very clean room and tidy arrangement.

it is an excellent hotel with a very helpful staff. hotel is very new so all areas and room was clean and new looking. large room with modern bathroom etc, flat screen tv with the usual options. overall a good location to explore manchester and surrounding area by car.

Hotel Facilities is okay, except poor Wifi Service”
My 3 days and 2 nights room stay in Holiday Inn Manchester was comfortable. However, there is no wifi service in the room and in the lobby as promised. I was not able to access to my work and personal emails on my phone for all three days. I arrived on Friday night (after 20 hours on flight) and I have asked for assistance to look at the wifi services. The reception said, she is going to call the IT person but the IT person did not turn up (probably due to weekend?). I was asked to use the lobby PC instead but that has caused further problems as I was not able to access my work emails from the lobby PC. It was just a disappointment on this part because before I book the hotel, I would usually make sure the hotel is able to provide wifi services so that I can access important emails anytime.

Good location”
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. There is a supermarket just next to the hotel and quite a number of restaurants right at its doorstep. The area is peaceful and quiet at night and it is also within walking distance to Lowrys Outlets and Old Trafford Stadium.

Pleasantly suprised, a new hotel so clean and fresh looking. A high end holiday inn if you like. Large room sizes and a nice view. genuine 4 star. Bed was a little soft but not a major problem for me, might be for some. Reasonable price for the quality.

Feels almost like Holiday Inn Express”
Room is spacious but basic. No bedroom slippers. Housekeeping never picks up calls and they don't understand English when you bumped into them along the corridor. Location was fantastic though - in nice neighborhood Mediacity. About 20 min walk to Old Trafford which we were there to watch a game. 10 min walk to Lowry Outlet. 3 min walk to the tram station which brings you straight into city centre which is only abt 20 min ride. Overall, hotel sure doesn't feel like a 4*.

Good value for money”
It's right in the middle of the Media City, Salford. We stayed one night to catch the flight at MAN airport. The room card went funny when I tried to go to the 8th floor to use the mini gym. Receptionists are very friendly. Overall, it's a good place to stay. I recommend this hotel.
