I wanted an affordable well located hotel to explore Kyoto's gardens, temples and shrines for a week. I was very happy about my choice. This hotel is very well located, 15' by taxi from Kyoto railway station and less than 15' by walking from Takeda train and metro station, from where you can reach to all the places that you may want to visit (and there many worth visiting, stretched over a very wide area). The rooms are very spacious, especially for Japanese standards, with confortable bedding, excellent cleanliness of the best Japanese standard, a Jacuzzi that I enjoyed in the evening to relax after a day of walking around. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This was my first experience of a Japanese Love Hotel and I really recomment this hotel to any visitor planning to enjoy Kyoto's amazing cultural assets.

We have been keeping coming back again and again to this hotel and we still love it. The room is spacious compare to most of the other hotels in Japan; breakfast is good (free and deliver to your hotel room); staff are very friendly and welcoming.; price is much more friendly than a lot of the other hotels. And just feel relaxed and cozy whenever we come back here!

Surprisingly big”
I didnt read that this hotel is a love hotel. When we were arrive to this hotel, we were shocked because it has large room,king size bed, large bathroom, full entertainment (karaoke, tv, projector, chair massage machine, etc. Nice hotel, we had no problem with other guests whatsoever. The only minus point is a bit far from the station (which you can reach by taxi for 800 yen).

Amazing value, friendly staff, giant room”
This hotel was really very nice. The room was huge, and so comfortable. Our only complaints were that the room and hallways smelled like cigarette smoke, and there very few dining options around the hotel. This hotel was the best value for the money in kyoto. Great hotel to relax in.

The room is large and clean. The bed is very comfortable for sleeping. Lighting is easily adjusted. But the hotel is quite far from the town centre of Kyoto.

Quite shock to actually realize that this was a LOVE hotel. nice to experience in one but felt slightly uncomfortable. hotel room was huge though with a massage chair in it and some "love" gadgets. really interesting. Breakfast was served right to the room. Not difficult to find the place either but must be sure of your hotel as there are similar hotels all around. Cheers!

Everything good except for the location ”
We booked the hotel during peak Hanami season so it was a bit on the pricey side. However, the service and facilities were excellent. Everything worked as advertised and my S.O. especially liked the plethora of free bathroom toiletries. The only downside is the hotel's location: it's about a 15 minute walk to the nearest subway station (Takeda).

Far Away Hotel”
I think this is the love hotel, so there is something kind of weird in the traveling space aspect. Anyways, the staff is really nice and helpful even English is the problem mostly! The rooms are neat and spacious! The only thing I don't like about is this hotel is far away from downtown and it takes about 20 or more minutes to walk to the nearest subway station and back! That is not really convenient for tourists who spend time at some other downtown/attractions and come back late in the evenings! We were exhausted quickly after few days staying and then we had to take the cabs mostly for transportations; that cost more money too!

This hotel was a little out of the way for our purposes--after long days of hiking and sightseeing, we ended up using taxis to get back to the place. It reminded me of Vegas, complete with slot machine in the room. The first night was awful with blasting music from the room next door. I probably should have contacted the desk. You do get a lot more space than other Japanese rooms. And everything is included as far as toiletries. However, you might not want to take kids there as there is also a vending machine for lingerie in the room!

Good stay, if you don't mind a love hotel”
Location is rather inconvenient from the rest of the attractions. Located within a cluster of other love hotels. Room facilities is fantastic with massage chair, jacuzzi, steam room and projector screen etc. The room is clean and comfortable. There is no wifi in room, but wifi is available at the lobby. Not recommended for families especially with children. But if you are a couple, it is quite an interesting place to stay at.

Surprise Love Hotel”
Nice stay. It was located a little far from the centre of town, but it was the only hotel we had in our trip with a bed large enough to accomodate a couple of westerners. Smoking was allowed, however, and there always was a lingering tobacco smell everywhere. Wouldn't recommend the place if you're not a smoker.

Smelled like an ashtray, shower leaking, no refund”
The hotel was very far from the train station or any parts of Kyoto that we actually wanted to see. As soon as we arrived, we checked into our room... which smelled AWFUL. The whole hotel smelled like an ash-tray but the room was just so, so bad. Incredibly bad smoking smell. It made me cough. The shower was also leaking. I could NOT deal with the leaking shower and just how bad the room smelled. Maybe if you're a smoker it would be okay but as a non-smoker it was awful. We checked out and couldn't get a refund. We just let that be a sunk-cost and booked a different hotel that day because there was absolutely no way we were going to stay.

THIS IS A LOVE HOTEL, located 1.3km away from the nearest train station, Takeda Station. There is nothing around this area, except for a lot of LOVE HOTELS. NOT recommended for backpackers. Room is big and clean, however the environment is not very comfortable.
