Genuine Japanese Hospitality ”
We stayed in a western style twin room. The room was very large with Japanese style furnishings with western beds. The hotel and room is authentic authentic and not modern. This gave the hotel a very comfortable cosy feeling. We also had an amazing view of the lake. Upon arrival, we were given thorough instructions of the timings and locations of the facilities of the hotel. Them we were escorted and treated to a tea ceremony in our room. Also shown how to use everything in the room. Very welcoming. We also had the evening meal and breakfast supplied by the hotel. I highly recommend you do both. We felt like we were treated like royalty. We were given traditional robes for dinner and were treated to a meal that covered our table. The onsen was fantastic and spring water steaming hot. My skin felt so soft and energised afterwards. The staff are extremely helpful, even though their English is only ok. Parking easy out the front.

Pleasant stay”
room is clean with comfortable futon bed. Must try the onsen, and take some time to wonder around the lake with awesome view of Fujisan. Shuttle bus service is a plus point too.

Hotel has nice lake view”
Hotel is located right in front of lake Kawaguchiko and station 10 red bus line. It has no mount Fuji view but the view around the lake is still superb. There is restaurant for dinner nearby the hotel with reasonable price, so it's ok if don't take hotel food but the experience is definitely more authentic. Nice indoor and outdoor onsen!

Nice Hotel with Lake view”
We stayed 1 night in a Traditional Japanese style room with breakfast. The price was considered to be at mid range when comparing with hotel having Mt Fuji view. We had chosen the hotel because of its onsen and traditional Japanese breakfast. There are 2 split-gender onsen. One at the ground floor and the other at 2nd floor. We visited both the onsen. It was a wonderful and great experience. There were indoor and outdoor onsen on both floors. We tried both. Very relaxing and comfortable. The Lake view at Kawakuchiko with Mt Fuji was wonderful. I walked 20min along the lake to catch a full view. The breakfast was excellent. very nice. When check-in, Hotel provided free pick up service but only start at 3pm. Need to go to tourist information to ask them to call the hotel. Next day, they send us to train station at 10am after breakfast. The overall stay was wonderful.

Service is wonderful as the same with the room”
I stayed there with my two children in Japanese room style. The room is clean and comfortable. I also do love the way they prepared breakfast in Japanese style. Delicious and good quality. The outdoor hot onsen is perfect.

Beautiful hotel! Great facilities, does show its age at times”
My mum and I recently had an overnight trip to Kawaguchiko to see Mount Fuji, it was amazing! We lucked it with the weather and even with the hotel!! The booking was very last minute and it was the first Saturday of Golden Week, so I knew it would be slightly over priced. That said, for the location, and the access to two public Onsens it was worth it. It’s an old hotel, and it does show its age at times, but it does have a charm to it. Also we had a little laugh at the “ROBBY” spelling of Lobby in the lift (if it’s an easy fix you should look into that)

Great value for the price!”
Hotel Koryu is a rustic ryokan-style hotel with multiple inside and outside onsen baths. We really enjoyed the breakfast as well. The only thing we noted was that in the ladies outside bath on the second floor, which is supposed to give a panorama view of lake Kawaguchi, there were a lot of bushes and weeds that obstruct what would have been a really nice view. That was a bit of a pity..

Nice, clean and quiet”
Beautiful hotel, we stayed in the Japanese style room which is lovely. Breakfast is traditional and amazing. Hot Spring is lovely which has two areas for the residents. Highly recommend.

Everything are fine but without Mountain Fuji view”
Mountain view room faced to Lake Kawaguchiko but cannot see Mount Fuji. Room is spacious, free public bathhouse at G/F & 1/F. The Japanese style dinner is excellent. The decorations are a bit old but it is absolutely traditional. Staff are friendly, especially the Lady who can speak Cantonese.

Old and rustic, but as with most Ryokan inns”
It's in a great location - near Mount Fuji Panoramic ropeway. There is also a Family Mart within walking distance. The bus stop is also a stone's throw away from Hotel Koryu. It was also our first time going for an onsen! Was rather refreshing and there was nobody during the night hours. Lastly, they provided free shuttle bus upon check-out to the train station. And the driver provided the usual Japanese service that we're all familiar with. Great stay, value for money, breakfast was also very spectacular!

Old but good”
Onsen in hotel was the best part. The beds not so much, the hotel is a little old and beds are to much used and move a lot.

Value for money and nice meals”
Staffs are all elderly which is good. The room is big for our family of four with big 3 luggages. The check in staff was helpful and a lady brought us to our room to explain about the room and facilities around the hotel. We had the one with dinner and breakfast option. They serve set meal and it’s so worth it. They have two onsen, one indoor in ground floor and one outdoor at first floor. Both are nice except they don’t provide skin care or lotion and the hairdryer is weak. They offer free pick up from Kawaguchiko station and you just have to ask the tourist information Center personnel to call the hotel for you. The pick up start from 3pm so don’t bother to reach early unless you have other plan. They offer free drop off to the station but last was 10:10am. My train back to Tokyo was 1:30pm. So I took a bus at the bus stop nearby (2 mins walk) to go to the train station. Cost at¥220 per pax. The hotel has no Mount Fuji view. You need to walk over to the lake for 5 mins to see it.
