Elegant hotel not far from Akasaka-mitsuke station (5-10min walk, mild uphill slope). There are also other lines within walking distance so this area was recommended because of its accessibility. The staff are very nice and very helpful. The area is nice and quiet but close to the station, there are a lot of food options. The room was a bit tight but hey, it's Tokyo and small rooms are standard. Excellent water pressure in the shower :)

The handy phone (which allowed unlimited data and phone calls) was very useful and a very nice perk. The free daily slippers and free water bottles were also very nice to have. The location is a bit away from most of the attractions, but the hotel was still relatively close to many subway stations (which is a short one ride to most attractions) so that was very convenient. We paid extra for the room with a double bed instead of the semi double bed, but found the room was still kind of small. All things considered though, it was a still a very good hotel for the price we paid.

The rooms are very small , but still clean & comfy. the breakfast has good variety & great taste & they indicate which food has pork or wine , the staff is also kind enough to make special meal requests if you don’t eat meat .

Over looks the palace. So in a super quiet area. But very close to many great restaurants and bars. The breakfast was good. Booked again it was so good the first time.

Nice comfy rooms”
Hotel is about 8-10 mins leisurely walk from the train station, and about 15 mins walk from the airport bus stop, which was manageable for our group. Rooms are clean, comfy and spacious, bigger than most hotels in Tokyo. We had enough room to spread our big luggages and still move around comfortably.

A welcoming place to stay”
I returned to stay at the Monterey Akasaka after several years absence. I was pleased that it was just as welcoming as before and was a quiet escape from the bustle of Tokyo. The added bonus of the 'cellphone' help and guide (Handy- i think it was called) was wonderful. It made getting around Tokyo so stress free. GREAT addition.

Monterey Akasaka Hotel is tidy, clean ,resonably priced , is located not far from downtown Tokyo near .The Metro stationis close ,the staff is well informed with the going ons,the eateries are closeby. The hotel food is good.The buses from the airport do not come to the hoteland the room of the hotel are rather small and crammed,electrical adopters do not seem to work.If an arrange could be made for the airport buses to come to the hotel it would be helpful

"Hotel with a modern touch at a great location" ”
we stayed there for two days after our trip to matsushima where we had spent a night at a fabulous ryokan. having travelled to tokyo a dozen times, our expecations for hotel stays in tokyo were quite low. hotel monterey asakasa panned out to be a fairly pleasant stay and certainly great value for money. the interior is a bit kitschy yet with a modern touch. the amenities are great. as usual, rooms are small with a closet that barely fits two jackets. nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay at hotel monterey and will certainly consider it for our next trip to tokyo.

The hotel is located close to metro station Akasaka- Mitsue. The area is very pleasant, with lots of restaurants and stores. Convenient stores and a the mall of Excel hotel are down the street and there are very nice restaurants there. The hotel is very well decorated, the Room is small but functional, clean and well decorated. Bed is confortable, shower is great. Everything you need they provide and the staff is very professional and efficient. I didnt try the breakfast but went to check, the continental part is ok, not so many options and Cost like 10 euros. For Japan is a good price. I recommend this hotel!

it was delightful. the location of the hotel is around 7 minutes from akasaka mitsuke station and has many attractions around it, but unfortunately there is no direct transfer from the hotel to the airport to the hotel and viseversa, we had to walk all the way to and from hotel excel tokyo to get the airport lemosine bus.

I've stayed at other Hotel Montereys and this one, like the others, was good. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location is not the greatest. There's a subway station in the area but it isn't that close. Same with shops - not much around. A nice hotel though.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Monterey Akasaka. The location was very nice and close to many restaurants and the metro. The room was a typical Japanese sized room and the amenities were standard.

Great Location and nice room”
the hotel is very centrally located. a short walk from akasaka mitsuke station which is on the ginza and marunouchi lines. the value for money is excellent and there are lots of food places close by. the rooms are tiny, like all rooms in tokyo, but well kept and the internet works great. the bathrooms are excellent and services are good too.

A bit of an up hill walk from the nearest metro station, however it's got eateries and convenient stores located within walking distance. Rooms are decent size in Tokyo standard and hotel staff offer great assistance though they speak little English. One the of the perks is the free portable wifi machine that comes with unlimited local calls, which is really handy when you're out and about exploring Tokyo. Overall a great stay.
