I almost don't want to tell how wonderful my experience was at Nirakanai Iriomotejima, but it would be too selfish to keep it a secret. From the minute I arrived the experience was sublime. I was greeted with refreshing jasmine tea, and seated comfortably while the hostess explained the activities and surroundings. The location is stunning. The rooms are lovely with a balcony overlooking the sea, and a feeling of tranquility and privacy. The sound of the waves and sweet birds chirping was all I could hear. In the refrigerator was a large bottle of mineral water, free of charge. Beautiful flowers and sculptures were all around. The activities were spectacular. Snorkeling at Ida beach was mesmerizing! The fireflies that lit up the mountain and the star gazing were unforgettable. The tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining and spoke English just for me (I was the only American on the tour). The kindness of the staff was unforgettable too. One night I went out for dinner, and when I was already a ways away, the gentleman from the front desk who helped with my dinner reservation came running after me to hand me a flashlight because the way was dark. Everyone I encountered there was helpful, flexible and kind. They showed that the truly cared about my experience there. The only complaint I have is that the food at the hotel buffet breakfast (included with the room) and the dinner buffet were too good, so I ate too much! One more thing I should mention- there is a peaceful jungle book area with free coffee and getto tea that you can help yourself to- I could have stayed there forever!

Awesome Resort with the best location”
This hotel is expensive but worth it. The hotel is just besides the beach which gives you complete freedom to enjoy moments with your loved ones anytime you wish. Be remembered that unlike certain countries beaches in Japan are available to general public thus you won't find sun beds or any such thing in beach arranged by hotel. You can hear the sound of the waves when you open the back door of your room. Things to note: I. Always go for Room + Breakfast since the breakfast is delicious and there is no option outside the hotel for breakfast. II . Don't miss the sunset, it's mesmerizing. III. The nicest hotel staff I have experienced in recent times. IV. Dinner is expensive, look for alternatives near-by. V. The tour packages provided are nice at a reasonable price. Book in advance. VI. Hotel got coin operated washer-dryer for your cleaning needs. Recommended!

The hotel staff are excellent, all of them very nice and helpful. Esp grateful for Mr Lo (the only staff who can speak Cantonese), he assisted us to solve many problems when my husband got high fever and we need to reschedule our itinerary for the remaining few days. He immediately assisted us to contact the ferry company as well as other hotels, and also checked the clinic information for us, he was extremely helpful and efficient. We would definitely recommend this hotel for our friends!

It’s very relaxing that The hotel room is big with balcony facing the sea in which u can hear the sea wave. Everything is comfortable ! Only the location is far from pier, but it has regular shuttle bus, so it’s not a problem!

Friendly staff, answer all my enquiries. The activities at the hotel are really marvellous, but remember to book and confirm beforehand. Tried the snorkelling, jungle trekking and fireflies activities, strongly recommended. Japanese a la carte was expensive but taste superb.

接してくれるスタッフの方々が多く、子供達も安心して楽しく過ごすことができました！ 朝のマングローブストレッチも爽快で、とても気持ちの良い1日のスタートがきれました。 部屋も十分の広さで、清潔で心地よくgoodです。 海側最上階の4階でしたが、防風林の都合上べランダからの眺望が少し残念でした。 総合的に満足度の高いホテルで、西表島再訪の際にはまた利用したいと思います。 ありがとうございました！

経営が変わったばかりなのでこれから”
2019 4月から星野リゾートに経営が変わったようでまだ整っていない様子でしたが、以前より朝食も美味しくスタッフの対応も良かったです。 上原港から車でで5分、3キロ程の 月の浜ビーチにあります。 環境保護の為部屋の窓から直接ビーチは見えずらくなっていますが、波の音が聞こえる静かに過ごせるリゾートでとても気に入っています。

冬は上原港行きが半分欠航とのこと、行きは大原、帰りは上原からでした。時間効率は大原近くがいいかもしれませんが、それを差し引いても良いホテルでした。帰りにスタッフ総出での見送りに感動しました。食事がビュフェのみで、味も不味くはないが普通なので近くのレストランを利用も併せて検討した方が良いと思いました。

ホテルの裏に広がる「月が浜」でのんびりしたくて、このホテルに泊まりました。 長く広がる浜辺は、人も少なくて、裸足で砂の上を歩くだけで、心が癒されます。 朝、ホテルの無料アクティビティで、日の出に合わせて、浜辺でストレッチを楽しみました。最高に贅沢な時間でした。 夜は、焚き火を囲んでおしゃべりする場所を設けて下さっていて、新婚さんカップルやスタッフのお兄さんと、初めてとは思えないくらい、楽しくお話ができました。1人旅には、こうした心遣いは嬉しいですね。 お部屋も広く、寝心地も良かったです。 一つだけ注文をつけるなら、夕食のビュッフェは、お料理も飲み物も種類を増やしてほしいことです。 それ以外は、すべてに感謝しています。
