Just nice for 1 person and very compact especially the small table. I wish they can have a longer checkout like 11am or 12noon because their checkout time is 10am which is a bit early.

My husband and I have been to Japan many times, we have stayed in our share of small hotel rooms, but this one was the worst one. Imagine double bed parked against the wall (not complaining about this), less then one foot between the foot of the bed and the wall, then there's a bench that took up half of the length of the bed (awkward), the remaining length of the bed where you can seat one person have a very deep sunken spot (approx. 2 feet length x 1 foot width. Sure don't leave you with too much room to sleep on. Never have we experience such a terrible bed.

Amazing envoriment, Hotel was just a stone's throw away from the Ikebukuro station, the staff were friendly and ready to help, gladly helped me to make a phone call which I required assistance, without any fuss, the hotel room space was rather small but comfortable, the room was clean, and the bed is very comfortable as well, to top it all up, we really did enjoyed our 7 days stay at Japan thanks to Hotel Resol Ikebukuro, I would no doubt recommend to any friends who are planning to make a trip to Japan. 5 stars and two big thumbs up.

A good place to stay”
About 100 metres from the Higashi Ikebukuro station and a short walk to Sunshine City in Ikebukuro. The main Ikebukuro station where the major stores are located is about 800 metres away. The staff are friendly and speaks English. They have a strict 10 am check-out policy but allowed an extension of half an hour for us. They also allowed us to keep our luggage including my sister's and her husband's luggage who have checked out from another hotel while we walked around town after checking out. There is an Italian restaurant at the entrance of the lobby the serves an impressive fare of breakfast and is reasonably priced. There are convenience stores and eateries nearby but most of them are located closer to Ikebukuro station. For those who don't mind the 10 to 15 minutes walk, it is a good place to stay.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Tokyo. The room was spacious for Japanese standards. Wifi was fast, room was so clean and the vending machines was nice to have in the corridor. I love Ikebukuro and this hotel was only 10 minutes from the station if you walk slow like me. Very close to Sunshine City which is a huge shopping mall. The staff I met spoke very good English. The toiletries that was provided everyday was also very good. There is also a direct bus to Narita and Haneda nearby!

Perfectly adequate and well located”
This hotel was in a great central location, within 10 minutes walk to 2 metro stations and the bustling centre of Ikebukuro. The room was small but for one person perfectly ok although I think 2 people would struggle. My only complaint, and I have seen the same thing mentioned in other reviews, is that the room lighting was very dark. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant next door very good for an evening meal but not very good for a western breakfast. Also quite expensive at ¥1,000. But overall, the hotel was very satisfactory and excellent value for money bearing in mind it’s locstion.

Value for money, good location”
Easy access from Ikebukuro station, very close-by to Sunshine 60 (less than 10 minutes walk). Lots to do during the day and at night, perfect for heading back to hotel to take a break then heading out again to stroll around and visit some arcades or take in the night life of Ikebukuro. Very quiet area as well. Service is good, though I had some trouble checking in because they couldn't locate my reservation, but they were polite and friendly throughout the whole process. Room is typical Japanese-sized and impeccably clean. Would return.

Loved the layout & design of the room!”
The hotel staff were helpful despite the communication difficulties faced due to language barriers. The hotel located nearer to Higashi-Ikebukuro station and is about a 20 minutes walk away from the Seibu Exit of Ikebukuro station. Hotels in Japan tend to look similar in terms of room layout but Hotel Resol Ikebukuro was definitely an eye pleaser, finally something different to look at.

Hotel was located 2 mins from Higashi-Ikebukuro station. The room was really clean and comfortable even though Single room! If you are looking for hotels in Ikebukuro area, I recommend you stay here :) Ikebukuro area is quite nice, there are many shopping mall and shops.

Very clean room but tiny rooms”
Extremely tiny rooms but cozy and very clean and new. Although very close to Higashi Ikebukuro, you find it easier and faster to walk to Ikebukuro station most of the time and after a few days of walking around Tokyo, walking back to and from the hotel can be quite draining.
