Awesome hostel with a great view”
Had a wonderful stay in this hostel. The hostel is in an awesome location with a great view of Mt. Fuji. The staff were really friendly and the restaurant inside the hostel had some really delicious food. The dorm was clean and quite spacious. The hostel is made from wood so you can hear people walking around. I would definitely stay here again if I were to ever come back to Kawaguchiko.

Very beautiful place to stay you can view Mt. Fuji from most of the rooms.. Facilities are very well equipped & the rooms are quite comfortable too... The common area is quite stylish for those who love to take pictures.. Btw there's a very cute house cat ! :)

Best view of Fuji even from bunk bed”
All rooms are facing towards the fuji mountain. You can enjoy the view even from your bed. For dormitory, try to request for a window side bed for the view. If you not that lucky, you can still enjoy them from the lounge area. Space for bed in the dormitory is quite big.even a space at the end of the bed just to place your bags.definitely would stay again.

The best hostel ever !!”
Really really love this hostel. The room come with very comfy Japanese style bed (tatami). I send the email to request room with Mt.Fuji view, they said "every room can see Mt.Fuji if the sky is clear. And it was true, the view was brilliant !!!! Breakfast also yummy, you should try. Staff are friendly, make me feel at home :) This place is one of the reason that made me want to go back to Japan. LOVEEEEE

The hostel is so clean and the receptionist guy is so cute. They can speak pretty good English so there is no problem communication. Checking in is seamless. The location is about 10 mins away from the train station. Convenience store is about less than 5 mins walk away. There is heater in the room so it is warm and cozy. You have to bring your own toothbrush and towel, otherwise they do sell them too. The bathroom is very clean with bathtub and hairdryer is available. There is a mini pantry for you to heat up food and boil water. There is a mini bar/restaurant in the hostel itself. Wifi is available too. I would highly recommend the hostel for its price, convenience and cleanliness. You can also see the mt fuji right outside the hostel.

I love everything about this hotel. From the facilities, cleanliness, location. Probably a little set back that we have to put on our bedsheet and comforter. It’s not really a big problem actually, but it’s a bit hassle when you arrived late and tired to the location. Overall, everything is great!

Incredible design & location”
Beautifully designed inside. Female dorm was really spacious and beds felt really private. View of Mount Fuji through the bedroom window. Great location near the lake, quick walk from the train / bus station (under 10mins). Nice cafe and social space, plus separate kitchen with kettle, etc. Definitely recommend.

Modern interior with magnificent view”
We love the overall interior design of this place. The room is super comfy and clean. Most of the rooms have great view towards Fujisan. Staff are friendly and good in English. Location is around 10 minutes walk from Kawaguchiko Station, on a quieter side of the town. Nearby have 2 big drugstore (matsumoto and welcia) which for us is a bonus.

Nice modern hostel in the Kawaguchiko area”
We stayed as a group at this hostel for 2 nights. It is about a 10 minute walk from the Kawaguchiko train/bus station on a quieter side of town. It has a view front door of Mt. Fuji and a friendly cat named Mia-chan. Recommended hostel for the Kawaguchiko area.

Cozy hostel just in front of Fuji”
I personally enjoyed my stay at Kagelow. Staff is kind and friendly, the large dining room is the perfect place where to eat/drink something while admiring mount Fuji. Moreover, I found pretty convenient and cheap to rent a bike from the hostel to have a trip around the lake (really fine quality bike).

I really loved this hostel, we got the large private room and there was a lot of space. Very comfortable! All of the private rooms are facing mt fuji, so it was really amazing to wake up to that. The food for dinner was really good as well. It was overall a very pleasant experience. Only set back is that if you’re a light sleeper, the walls are pretty thin so you can hear other visitors (if they don’t listen to the signs saying be quiet last 9pm). We had people mex5 door up until 3am.

About 600 meters from Kawaguchiko station, the dorm rooms were nice and facilities were good, restaurant and breakfast (500 JPY) was nice too.

Awesome view of Mt. Fuji for private rooms”
Pros: The view of Mt . Fuji, cosy lounge area and over all nice aesthetics of the property. Free towels in private rooms and useable kitchen. Cons: Since the hostel is made of wood upstairs, it can get creaky and noisy especially if some guests are not mindful on how they walk or close the door.
