Five Star Hotel with a Sunny Attitude”
We enjoyed our stay very much: the food was good and there was no stomach problems with our family ;). We were very well treated at The Laguna Lounge and the View Restaurant. The staff seemed genuinely interested to keep the customers happy! There was a heated pool - it was nice and warm and suitable for children (if they can swim!). But coming out of the water was a bit of a problem because it gets very chilly when there is wind. We didn´t have enough warm&windproof clothes for the evenings. If there is wind - which seems to be the case in Soma Bay - bring enough warm and sun protection clothes for the kids! The room was nice but the bathroom floor was very very slippery when wet. Otherwise we felt very safe and protected in the area. Kempinski/ Soma Bay area was not crowded during our stay.

Large, spacious rooms great for families. ”
We had a two bedroom apartment which was good - ask for sea view. Breakfast is excellent and they are able to accommodate dietary needs. Guest services did not provide helpful information. I asked about snorkelling and was not told about the huge, beautiful reef directly off the beach - we discovered it on our last day which was very disappointing. We were told you could charge to your room from anywhere in Soma Bay, but this is not the case - bring cash. It is a huge hotel - so if you are not into resort "life" this is not the place for you!

Luxury resort with nice beach and seaview ”
The resort is located about 60km from Hurghada. However, it has a tranquil beach and crystal blue water. I was amazed by the types of facilities offered in the resort. The resort is as big as a theme park and it needs for a day long to enjoy all the facilities. At night there is free belly dance performance. In addition, the hotel staff is very helpful and polite. Great job.

Excellent stay but a bit on the expensive side”
stayed for 4 days, and enjoyed every single day! the place is beautiful, new and clean. the food was good both a la carte and buffet. the beach is clean and nice with a bar with quite a selection of drinks and snacks, you can even have lunch on your sunbed if you're hoping for snorkeling close to the beach though, you will be disappointed, no corals on this beach and therefore not much fish. but it's a good swim and you can go on snorkeling trips. the rooms were spacious and clean, the minibar is included in the room which was nice though it only contained water and soft drinks, and there's no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. the food in the all the restaurants of the hotel was good. there are three: the view restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner, there's one on the pool that serves lunch and snacks and works till sunset and an asian restaurant that was working only two days a week, but the food there was also really good. if you're into more entertainment in the evening, they always had some kind of performance going on in the cafe, you can also smoke shisha there generally loved it and will go back if i manage to get a discounted offer again their general pricing is pretty expensive.

the beach was nice and the overall facilities were good. Very few food options and the staff wasn't that great. Our card key didn't work 5 times and had to walk all the way to the front desk to change it. It definitely was frustating. I honestly have stayed at nicer kempinski hotels at this price...

the lobby,is verry beautiful,and a great welcoming! the after the tour,they take you to the room, splendid room,great view,the bathroom,fantastic,free drinks in the minibar,the bed was even better then home. everything is present,you can do snorkling,diving,sailing,surfing and more...,also the water aerobic in the pool was good. quiet place to sleep,and then breakfast..... even champagne,and everything you think of is there and presentation,subliem during the day they coma with water and fruit. i had an amazing time and i will go back.

Absolutely amazing. Staff was great, pool is great, beach is great. I was charged to have a guest. Also, be aware you will pay a lot for food and drinks. I was on a bit of a budget and did not factor those parts into my stay.

a very nice stay in Soma Bay”
It was really excellent. To make it even better: 1. The tourist industry should do something about the entrance visa procedure in Hurghada. There are many travel agencies willing to provide the service (nothing else than a form to fill in) but they are requesting € 25,- while it is clearly marked that the fee should be $ 25,- When you refuse they do not provide you the form to fill in. 2. The way to the Asian restaurant should be better marked (there is no indication at all). A real pity since the food there was more than excellent 3. Only on the 5th day we found out that next to the hotel there is a shopping center. especially since the shops in the hotels are very minimal, the hotel should give better advice about this.

Lovely Family Vacation”
We loved our stay at Kempinski Soma Bay, it's very child friendly (we have a 7 months old) and the staff is extremely attentive and provides excellent service at the restaurant (Ahmed Hosni, Islam and Albert) and at the beach (Mahmoud and Mohamed Abba/Atta). We will certainly come back and are already looking forward to another amazing family vacation.

Good Beach Location ”
This hotel is a little overpriced. Good choice of buffet but too many tables being served and children. Selecting outside of the holidays is essential if you want a quieter holiday .This affected any ambiance the restaurant could create. Not enough restaurant choices in hotel. Decor is a little dated. I would recommend the MOVENPICK instead. Given the quiet concept of the hotel it would probably do better without children.

We enjoyed our stay in the Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay a lot, the rooms are very spacious with a little bit older furniture, but the beach, food and service were excellent, and Soma Bay is just such a beautiful holiday destination. We are definitely coming back.

Worst chek-in”
Reception stuff was so rude, as if their doing favor instead of welcoming the guest, we had a wrong type of reservation, instead of correcting it they blamed us because of last minute reservation from a third party, which is Agoda. Checking in took more than 1 hour, worst check-in experience of my entire travels, I felt unwanted instead of welcome.
