This is the second stay I have had here at Leonardo in Edinburgh ”
The facilities of the indoor heated swimming pool and gym are fabulous a d the main reason for choosing this hotel. The rooms are spacious and modern with top end large quality beds and linens with complimentary Scottish Fine Soaps shower products. It’s so great we are returning in December for a break along with another couple to whom we recommended this hotel. The bus stop is a short walk away and the regular number 3 or 26 Lothian bus services take you into Princes Street in the city centre. There is ample free car parking at this hotel which is another reason we are continually choosing this modern hotel

Superb stay”
Excellent hotel, staff great, facilities on site exceptional for the price. Only slight annoyance was the breakfast price, was quoted one price on checkin and then charged slightly more when paid for on the morning. Good to also be able to leave the car and hop on a bus which was just around the corner from the hotel, straight into the city centre.

Great clean hotel with friendly staff”
Really nice hotel, clean, good value for money. The swimming pool was warm and clean although maybe not recommended for children or new swimmers as the water is quite deep with no shallow end. The restaurant food is nice with a good selection. The service was a bit slow but that's probably due to a tour group being in at the same time. Rooms are spacious and newly decorated. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel but location could be better”
This hotel was nice, comfortable and great to look at. However the location was on top of a hill, which involved quite a bit of walking and it is not centrally located in Edinburgh

Poor Standards. ”
Our room was stinking of smoke. The TV didn’t work, the towel rail fell off the wall. The room hadn’t been dusted for a long time.

A Soothing Haven Amidst the Green!”
Edinburgh Capital is a pleasant hotel with all the facilities a traveller could ask for. My very first impression itself was excellent - the hotel was close to a wooded area and we were attended to by a Ms Violeta who was friendly, cheerful, and most willing to extend any assistance that we requested. Violeta is a real tribute to her hotel! Breakfast was a pleasant surprise as it came with a choice we could never make full use of. And speaking of food, I must also compliment Wilbert of the bar who seemed a one-man service machine yet always with a smile on his face. The hotel's down-side is also its plus point; it is located slightly outside town but this ensured that we could enjoy a quiet rest when necessary and in any case, transport to the city centre 20 minutes away was easily available through buses that plied every 10 minutes 24 hours of the day.

Greta Hotel with great Facilities”
We stayed one night in the Edinburgh Capital Hotel after visiting the Highlands & Isles. It was the perfect stop to go and see the city. The bus stop is around the corner and in 15 min. you are there or back. To our surprise, we had free access to the pool and sauna of the attached gym. Rooms very clean and nice. Personell very friendly. Try to get a room on a higher floor facing the city. Must be very nice. We had a room one floor down from the reception and although it was light, we only saw into the parking in the back of the hotel. It didn't matter since we only used the room to go to bed before our early flight the next day.

Excellent Value”
Lovely big room with a view of Corstorphine Hill, very comfortable bed, which may have been a super king size. Bathroom was also a good size and was very clean. Whilst there we used the leisure facilities which were very good. Cannot comment on food as we did not eat at the hotel. All staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is not in the city centre but there are regular buses in to the centre from the bus stop very near to the hotel.Depending on traffic the journey takes approximately 30 minutes and a return ticket costs £3 per person or £3.50 for a day ticket. The hotel is slightly dated but our stay was very enjoyable and given the excellent price we paid was very good value for money. Our expectations were met and provided we could get a similar deal we would stay at this hotel again.

Very comfortable, no fuss”
We stayed for two nights at the beginning and end of our holiday abroad. We selected the hotel for its proximity to the airport. Unfortunately it was not as close as we expected and added a good deal on to our expenses for the trip in the form of taxis to and from the rail station, hotel, airport etc. I would not use the hotel again for this purpose but would certainly stay again to explore the capital as the bus to the city centre is frequent and inexpensive. thank you for an enjoyable stop over.

Last Minute Booking”
Would be very happy to stay here again. Parking the car was Easy. Our room was first class, modern, spacious, spotlessly clean and warm. Other hotel facilities were also far better than we expected. There is a lovely swimming pool and leisure club. Breakfast was very nice, fairly big selection. The only negative we experienced was a fire alarm at 0830 in the morning and Steam room out of operation! Apart from that, the hotel was ideal for us and good value. The hotel location is a 15 minute drive from the City Centre so you will need your own transport or be prepared to use public transport. There is however a regular bus service and the bus stop is only a 3 minute walk from the door of the Hotel.
