Loved this place! ”
One of the best capsule hotels I’ve stayed at so far! Initially had booked for 4 nights, then added 2 more! Big bright lounge area with microwave, tv, drink vending machine, free drink dispenser (sencha, coffee, lemonade, water), comfy couches, eating area, outlets. Hotel looks very new and everything was very clean! Very secure (key card required to access floors). Capsules are good size. Every capsule had lights, alarm clock, fan, one wall outlet and one USB outlet. Extra pillows (hard & soft) available. Lockers are decent size as well and each floor has storage space corners for suitcases also. Policy says “Multiple day stays require daily checkout” how ever it really just means to not be in the capsule during housekeeping (11am-3pm). You can leave you luggage in the locker and go hang out in the lounge! Don’t really need to “check out”. Housekeeping made bed in capsule and gave fresh towels every day. Reception desk staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again! :)

Best Hostel ”
This has got to be the best hostel that I have stayed in Tokyo so far. I stayed at a few hostels around the Asakusa area and this one was the most comfortable. They have all the amenities provided (i.e slipper, toiletries, locker, luggage storage, drinks, towel, and bed change). The layout of the hotel was perfect, beds, showers and toilet all separate. Lots of space for you to store luggage. They keep your luggage for free before and after checkout. There lotions for the face kept my skin in great condition. And showers were clean. Temperature and ventilation were also on point - except common room - a bit stuffy in there but besides that location was great. 4 minute walk from Gina Line.

Great value for money, convenient and super clean!”
Had a pleasant stay at this hotel and great value for money if you're on a budget. Tawaramachi station is a few minutes away from the hotel which is very convenient to go to many other places like Shinjuku or Shibuya. 5 mins to Nakamise Shopping street and 10 mins to Sensoji temple. Staff were absolutely friendly and polite plus our capsule beds were made every day! The showers, toilets and laundry room were super clean and pretty sure they're cleaned every day. There's a common lounge with comfy couch and workspace, plus there's machine for free drinks. Would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Best Capsule Hotel I've Been To”
I was very impressed with this hotel's value for the money. The staff at the front desk went out of their way to be helpful. The entire hotel was impeccably clean. All the facilities are new and function well. I was particularly impressed with the keycard security at the front entrance, the elevator, and the capsule room itself. The comfort and quality of experience of this hotel was better than several capsule hotels I have been to, and even rivals actual hotels.

Great new capsule hotel! Spacious and bright lounge area with vending machine, microwave, and free drinks dispenser. Capsules are roomy. New towels provided very day. Washer and dryer in buildings as well (per per use). One of the few capsule hotels I’ve found that are suitable for longer stays as well.

The BEST!!!”
Took the deluxe room and i got this spacious luggage room under my bed and it was the best thing!!! I’ve tried other capsule hotels with complicated luggage arrangement for example: must be stored on different floor with sleeping area). Stayed for 11 nights here when the corona virus started to hit japan hence i had to cancel my exploration plans to other cities and just stayed in Tokyo. Overall, this place is the best capsule i’ve tried + location was perfect too (it was my 13th time coming to Japan and i’ve tried several capsule hotels).

Advantage : Room and facilities are all clean, also have locker which can keep suitcase. And good location just walk 3 mins from Tawaramachi station (Tokyo subway). Disadvantage : less of bathroom just only 2 room.

Nice stay in Asakusa”
I picked this place because it was the cheapest on the search. But cheapest didn't mean worst quality. The beds were nice and the staff was respectful. There was a locker to store my belongings. The lounge was nice, I actually fell asleep a couple times lounging too hard there. It was only a few minutes walk from several train stations and had a good number of things in the local area to walk to. All in all it was great.

Stayed for 5nites. If I had known what they provide prior to my trip, my luggage would only be 3kg instead of 7kg. All toiletries are Kracie botanical... shampoo, conditioner, bath, cleansing oil, face soap, face lotion, face moisturiser, hair dryer and even pajamas. Capsule is spacious enough with a usb and power outlet, lights, 1 hook with hanger and a privacy blind. They change sheets everyday if you leave your blind up! In the lounge, free drinks from drink dispenser, incld green tea, lipton tea, coffee, lemonade and water, all in both cold and hot. TV, sofas and long bench with enough seats. There is a drink machine if you prefer to buy other drinks. A locker with key in a separate locker room within the room. I had a cabin luggage but I think it is large enough for a medium suitcase. Anyway, the room is spacious enough should you have a large luggage that doesn't fit in the locker. The bathroom and toilets are very clean, looks very new, the basins in the bathroom are huge with stools, felt very relaxed and pampered taking my time through my beauty routine 😁 The staffs are friendly enough and will attend to your enquiries with much patience. The only thing that bothers me is the capsule is very dusty. When I got into the capsule for the first time , I could see a thick film of dust all over the panels and partitions, which I cleaned as I didnt want to breathe in all those dust. Even with the cleaning, there will be dust sitting everywhere in the capsule everyday, which I cleaned every nite before sleeping in it. I can imagine how that gets accumulated over time if not attended to. I believe the room is full of dust but due to the dim lighting, one cannot really see it. I would rather they pay more attention to cleaning/vacuuming the room n capsules rather than changing the sheets everyday, which is nice but unnecessary. Very nice facilities”
Hotel is very well organized. My only problem was the mattress was too thin. I booked a female deluxe bed. I had a hard time sleeping. Also, Asakusa station where you get on the train to Narita does not have escalators or elevators, only stairs. It was really hard to go down the long flight of stairs with a heavy luggage. If these don't bother you, then I recommend this hotel.

I like everything about Lightning Hotel. It is close to a subway station, walking distance from Asakusa, and lots of restaurants around the area that are open even at midnight. The staff are very friendly and easy to talk to. If I'll definitely book a room again here when I visit Tokyo.

2nd stay”
This was my 2nd stay in this hotel and it was as good as the first. Compared to other's it's really a luxury capsule hotel, where you still can meet people in the lounge or lobby. Might be espescially nice for people traveling on a budget who still value privacy or don't quite want to go for a hostel.
