We were picked up by the owner at the tran station and introduced to the main facilities at the minshuku as well as the surrounding locations (Onsen, restaurants, sights). Very authentic stay in beautiful surrounding (garden, close to lake and good views on Mt. Fuji from out of the room). Absolutely recommendable!

Nice short stay in Kawaguchiko, close to Mount Fuji”
We stayed there for two nights and it was very nice. The setup of the rooms are like Ryokan (Tatami, small table in the middle with heating system below to get warm etc). Bathroom and toilets were shared with other rooms (which was ok as we were the only ones at that time! Compared to a standard hotel which would have costs us 3 to 5 times more, it's a very good deal and a nice experience while staying in Japan.

Location is convenient with plenty of restaurants and convenient stores around. Minshuku overlooks the Mt Fuji and you get a good view early under the morning.

Stay was OK..but do not understand the rationale behind where the hot water shower will be turned off at 10pm daily. As a,result, we really do have to rush back just in time for the cut off time to shower as it is still very chilly at this time in the night. Note temperature may range between 2-4degrees. Location is convenient, not too sure if it's going to take long just to get back to the Minshuku if u take the local bus because we drove so it's easily accessible.Overall,friendly staff and a good experience.

Amazing stay with a fantastic host”
Our stay was amazing with a fantastic host who could not have been more helpful. The traditional Japanese room was cosy and clean while the location was nice a close to the action. Overall would certainly stay here again.

Nice hostel with relaxing atmosphere ”
You cannot walk from the station to this hotel, but you can take taxi from the station. It costs you 800 yen. then the host will drive you back to the station. You can see Mt.Fuju from your room. From the hostel, you can walk to Kawaguchiko Lake.

It is located near Kawaguchiko lake. You can reach there by 10 min walking. You can see Mouth. Fuji from window of bedroom in the clear day. Only disappointed is about the shared bath room.

Review of Stacation”
The host of the property is very helpful and able to speak English. The location is easily accessible by cars and easy to find. We had our own car, hence it is easy for us but may not be easily for those taking public transport. The cleanliness is above average. There is no facility where you can compare with hotels. For the size and experience on home stay, it is worth the money for 3 adults. Recommended for those who will want to experience Japan Rokan Style. A very homely stay experience that we love always.

Kind owner but not much else”
The owner is very kind but for the price we paid the structure is quite old fashioned and bathroom and shower are average. I think that it is worth only if you get a cheap deal. The rooms cannot be locked from the outside, but only from inside.

Simple but conformtable ”
We arrived at the town at night and could not find the inn. It was riany thought not very heavy. The onwer drived to the 7-11 to pick us. He was very friendly and even made very valuable suggestions to our plans.

Nice location but a bit far from downtown ”
It takes almost a day to reach Kawafuchiko and the hotel from the main station, so visitors should go there in autumn only because they can kill time by watching the colorful forest and the Fuji.

Traditional accommodations ”
It was not far from kawaguchiko station. Friendly host, he even offered to give me a ride the next morning to station. I liked the town, I wish I had one more day to explore.

Welcoming and friendly host”
Arrived in the evening and took taxi to the hotel from the train station (cost about 1000 yen). It was raining and very cold, luckily there's heater available in the room. The host was kind enough to send us to the train station after checkout in the early morning.

Satisfactory”
We stay here only 1 night but it was really nice time. The tourist house stay not far from the Kawaguchi Lake. Just make a short walk we can see Fuji. The host was really nice to pick us up and took us back to the station. I would love to come back if I have a chance.

It is far from the station. When I arrived, The owner just arrived picking other guests from station”
- No water heater after 10PM. (Its too cold, u don’t need shower at that time anyway!) - There is a notification to turn off heater if you sleep. 🤔 - Not offered for station transport, while seeing other guest picked from the station. - Ok if you want to try to sleep in Japanese style
