I wanted a budget hotel to stay in whilst a very close friend was in hospital nearby, I did not want to pay the usual London rates and I wanted a hotel in walking distance. You get what you pay for , a budget hotel , staff were all very friendly and the room was cleaned daily. Rooms are small and tired but clean. The only problem we had our room was on the third floor and when we showered it leaked into the room below , we were told this had been fixed until it happened again the next morning and so on ! The area around is very lively with many different types of restaurants and bars .

Nice clean and friendly hotel room was small but adequate for a 1 or 2 night stay bed mattress had seen better days not mush spring left in it, free breakfast was OK with a good choice of items. Area around hotel has lots of places to eat out in the evening and only a few minutes walk away from King's hospital

The stay was short, very reasonable and enjoyable. The room is adequate, comfortable and light and the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at 3 pounds is a bargain. There are not many hotels in Camberwell and I was visiting Kings College Hospital which is a 15min walk away.

We wanted to be in Camberwell. We didn’t want to pay a fortune. We wanted somewhere that we could open our bedroom window and was quiet...ish. So we asked for a back room. We have used this hotel a couple of times a year for a few years. It suits our needs. It also has a good breakfast where they make scrambled egg in front of your eyes using real eggs! Delicious! Our bed was comfortable and we feel it is truly good value.

We were given a quiet room with a window at the back This is not a grand hotel and it is fairly basic but for us the location is fantastic as we needed to be in Camberwell. God places to eat around and it is value for money with friendly and helpful staff

Positive: Price is quite welcoming, stuff was nice, location is not too bad (40 min by bus to City centre), relatively quiet in the night, several places to eat nearby. Small but clean and cosy room with shower and tub, hot water, tv, nice bathroom. We especially love the kettle and several bottles of water to make tea or coffee and some cookies and chocolate pieces. Negative: A bit old smell in the hall. Breakfast is quite poor, just tea/coffee, juice, 2 types of sweets, bread with butter/jam/spread cheese and eggs. No meat, no hard cheese .

The main highlight of my stay was the exceptional service I received from the staff. They were very polite and helpful. Also the the continental breakfast is tasty particularly the scrambled eggs (always made to order)!!!

Worst experience”
I reserved a triple bed room and the hotel offered the double bed + single bed. We need to use the key to lock the door inside the room, very inconvenient. The temperature of the water is not stable. It takes 30 mins walk from oval station instead of 20 mins The mat is very dirty. More seriously, the TV is only playing the sexual film, this is the worst experience i have before.

the lady at the reception was very bored, the housekeeping was messy, they left toilette papers, bed linen, cleaning staffs on the corridor, from morning till evening they were on the floor, we had to jump over not to step on them. the location of the hotel is ok, by bus it takes 15-20 mins to get to the city center(victoria station). the doors of the rooms look unsafe, very thin wood doors, some of the rooms have already been refurbished, some others look terrible. my room was on the second floor, very very old bahtroom old bed linen and tiny room. my friend's room on the first floor was refurbished, renovated with nice bathroom and much more spacious room. breakfast was included in the room rate however it was stated on the voucher that breakfast is excluded. once the renovation of the building is completed i would recommend the hotel, if you want to book this hotel request a room on the renovated floor, since the other rooms are horrible...

When i want booked the hotel, i can seen that is got aircordition but even we checked in there is ”
The hotel was shown on the website that there is aircordition, but when we're get in the bedroom in the hotel there is no aircordition even fan, after we made complaints they bring small heating fan for us,that is not good enough for us. in this weather that very annoying i wouldn't introduce people's or bookings this hotel again.

There was an alarm going off from around 1am to around 4 am. I know this because it kept me awake. I needed to be extremely alert the next day for a brunch meeting and i was absolutely shattered.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! Avoid at all costs!! ”
The first sight when we walked through the front door was a massive rat running around the lobby. This disgusting thing was there the entire time we were. The staff were well aware and just didn’t care. The rooms were absolutely disgusting with stains all over the carpets, all towels were stained, all bed linen was stained. It was disgusting. The beds were tiny, uncomfortable, and gross. The bathroom was filthy and looked like it had never been cleaned. And then to top it off, early in the morning, the fire alarm went off waking everyone up. Had an absolutely awful night here and will never ever stay again!! DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL!

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in”
I stayed here because I had an early morning hospital appointment and wanted to avoid rush hour commute. What a mistake! The place is an absolute dump, should not be called a hotel. They first gave me room no.13, which was like a dungeon, so I changed to no.14, which was a bit bigger but overlooking the main road. Soundproofing is non-existent, and it feels like you're sleeping right on the road. The supposed 'double bed' was actually a really old sofa bed opened up with spring poking out. The place is a nigttmare, avoid at all cost.

Left hotel after 1st night - room carpet wet no plug sockets working - ask to wait for a od job man to come at 10.00pm to look at plugs - after having to argue my point and contacting my husband to talk with staff they agreed to give me another room - Staff very unhelpful except when taking money - NO refund was made for the 4 night I did not stay. still trying to get a response .

NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!”
First night, I was in room 26. This room have two big windows without any stores. The room is absolutely not isolated (noise and cold). I had the feeling to be in the middle of the street and didn't sleep. That was one of the most horrible night of my life. I ask to have another room for my second night. I was room 17. After a long day I go back to my room and my bed was wet. I was so tired so I was thinking that the cleaner did a mistake. In the middle of the night, I finally understand why my bed was wet. There were a WATER LEAK!!!! And a wake up with water trickled on my face!!!! I want to be reimbursed for this two horrible nights!!!
