Over night stay”
Have stayed several times both for visits to Newcastle and for holiday stay with parking and find it very comfortable, The dining room is well run at breakfast time with plenty of hot coffee and food choice. The strawberries were delicious. My only bugbear was a £6 charge, at checkout. for parking overnight when my bed an breakfast was pre-booked and paid for.

Our stay at Novotel Newcastle Airport”
Although we were very impressed with the value for money of the room and the fact that they are clean, spacious and stylish, we had a fire alarm at 3.45am caused by residents of the hotel smoking in the room. It was very frightening to be woken like this and there was a very alarmed woman on the landing trying to knock on her children's door to see if they were ok. There was no apology the next morning and if I hadnt rang down to reception at the time, we would not have been informed that all was ok. Coupled with the fact that when we stayed at Novotel Greenwich and received two unwanted early morning phone calls despite our request NOT to be woken early, we are contemplating not staying again at a Novotel. Can these problems be ironed out?? If so, we will contemplate going back.

Very pleasant and friendly”
Enjoyed the short stay. The staffs were very friendly, and most helpful in all ways. The hotel was like a resort type, quiet and immaculate. Location is good from both the airport, and also to get to the train station was just a pleasant 10 minutes walk away. Also, near the large shopping areas and supermarkets, so very convenient, and accessible, even without own car, for a foreign visitor.

Lovely hotel”
I stayed for three nights, the staff was very friendly, rooms are clean and have a nice view. The hotel is close to airport and local shops and markets. It benefits from a close metro station'10 minutes walking' and a vere large parking space. The thing i didnt like is that the parking is not free for the hotel residance.

Hello from beginning to end of my reservation I received excellent service - i cannot remember the name of the receptionist who helped me with my booking - I made a mistake by booking only one night - then realised that I had to book 2 nights as we were arriving at the hotel at 4.30 in the morning She was great at linking the 2 bookings together on arriving at the hotel in the early hour of 4.30 the night manager ( Steve i think he was called) was really pleasant even at that early time in the morning and the cleaners we met were super great stay will definately go there again and super large bed thanks to all kathleen Guijarro

Average Hotel near Airport”
A fairly tired looking hotel close to the airport. Paid for what looked like a good internet / telvision viewing package but download speed meant all movies and programs watched skipped or froze on the TV. Food in the hotel restaurent surprisingly good once the food that was ordered was provided! The hotel provides complimentary taxi rides to and from airports which is a much better personalised service that an airport suttle.

Pros Excellent hotel and staff. Bed was very big and firm, had a great sleep. Facilities were good having a pool and sauna however closed due to someone having an accident. Con Only thing to mention. Is heating is centralised and was cold in our room but they solved this problem by giving us a electric fan heater.

Local to what I needed but car parking is scandalous along with a very expensive & over priced breakfast. Staff are very nice.Beds are very hard on your back.Hotel is dated & over priced.The bar prices are a joke.To stay there again would be a last resort for me.

all good with good breakfast large comfy room with added extra of a(small) indoor pool. exercise room is very limited with 1 running machine, 1 cross trainer and 1 bike but good quality.

but not very well - looks tired and even grubby. Bedding needs replacing. Food not so good and is a taxi ride to airport unless you have an upgraded room.

I book the hotel as it claimed to have 24 hour room service, which was why I booked it. I had been travelling most of the day and arrived at the hotel to expecting to use the room service facility. When I arrived I was told that due renovations and lack of a Chef there was not room service available. I was very disappointed with this and as it was late at night there were not other options available. The was also an smell in the lift and it was noticeable that renovations were taking place. The hotel should tell customers that advertised services are lacking while renovations are taking place. Much better value for money hotels available in the area.

I'm sorry that on this occasion your stay with us has fell short of expectations. We had received a large amount of feedback from our guests suggesting that the hotel was in need of a refurbishment and it was starting to look tired in places. We are no doing this and there is some great, amazing changes taking place. We are doing our utmost best alongside our contractors to ensure that our current guests stays are not affected in any way. It appears that on this occasion your stay has been affected and I am truly sorry for this. We do restrict the working times of the contractors to ensure that noise is only heard during daytime hours. I hope this would not deter you from staying with us again and that you may consider staying with us again in the future following the completion of our refurbishment in all its glory.

My stay was fine until we were disturbed by housekeeping at 8.40!!!! Who just walked straight into the room. After checking with reception to find out what time we had to check out and was informed 12, someone else from house keeping tried to enter the room again at 10.40. Not impressed to say the least. Still waiting to hear from the manager for an apology. Apart from this we had a nice stay.
