The location of this hotel is great, an underground exit no.8 is just in front of the hotel, this exit also come with a lift. You can reach the hotel from JR station directly through the undergrand walkway. And the old city hall is just 3mins walk distance from hotel. The hotel building is large in size, there is many restaurant inside. We stayed in Holly Twin room, which is really spacious, it allows you open up eight luggages together, which is very scare in Japan main city. The services is also great, I saw there is three house keeping staffs to make up my room when I back from shopping at afternoon. At the lobby, there is also at least five staffs available to help you with information and luggage, they are all good at English speaking. Even the cashier in carpark, the old guy can also listen to English, which is amazing. The hotel carpark is parked by the lift automatically. In the room, the amenities also impressed me very much. Apart from the normal supply including makeup cleaning oil and face washing cream, hair moisture lotion and nail colour remover wipe are also provided, which is the first time I experienced in hotel. A pajamas and some Japanese fiction are also provided. What the more important, the room price of this hotel is really competitive with above all mentioned selling points. Definitely will stay again if visit Sapporo.

Awesome hotel staff and hotel”
All the greetings and smiles every time you meet any of the accommodating staff, any concerns are acted at once, full complete amenities, clean and quiet rooms, cozy beds and the food in all outlets were perfect!!! But what is exceptional was I left my cellphone in ISHIYA cafe the night before the morning to catch my plane ... They personally went to the cafe when it opened and emailed me that they have it. When my plane landed 4 hours later in Manila ... My cellphone was also on its way to Manila!!! BRAVO AND CHEERS TO THE STAFF of Sapporo grand hotel! Will book again!

Close to JR and main shopping area”
Well connected by underground (shopping) tunnel to the JR station. You can basically walk to most shopping centres and subway stations through the underground tunnel. There is hardly anyone on street level, the crowd are all underground like ants and it's a good way to get about since there are lots of shops underground. We were given two connecting rooms for a family of 5. When you consider breakfast is included, it becomes value for money since there are two choices of restaurants; buffet (continental and Japanese) or Japanese set menu. The Japanese set menu is worth it since it provides the traditional Japanese breakfast which in itself is elaborate and beautiful. I would recommend this accomodation.

Value for money and economical”
It was an eye opener staying at such a small and compact hotel. The rooms were big enough for just two persons. Nonetheless it was clean and service was impeccable. It was also centrally located which meant that it was easy to access the underground transport and walking distance to many places to eat and shop. Definitely a place I would recommend and stay at in future.

SAPPORO GRAND HOTEL IS GREAT!”
There were 8 of us(4 couples). From the moment we arrived to check in, the service and professionalism of their staff was spot-on! We were greeted each time we passed into the lobby which was several times a day and nite. The housekeeping staff was very efficient and polite. The Restaurant and other shops were great to have on site! We will definitely return again. Mahalo from the Hawaiian Visitors!

The hotel is grand, has modern amenities but retains its splendor of the past. Very good location, accessible, and very near strategic tourist spots - the Sapporo TV Tower the Clock Tower, the former Hokkaido Government Building Odori park. A few rides and long walks, you can reach Susukino shopping areas the Sapporo Factory and the Sapporo Beer Musuem. Very near the Sapporo Station, accessible through the underground walkway, ideal during cold weathers. Great stay! 2-thumbs-up recommendation!

Sapporo grand has the perfect downtown location. Great value for money. Everything was only a few minutes from there by walk or cab. We got the connecting rooms in the east building and it was a great size for our party of 5 adults and a toddler. We would totally stay here again.

Walking distance to Sapporo and Odori train stations ”
A friend had recommended this hotel and we are so happy we listened. The location is perfect as it’s a 5 minute walk in the underground passageway which connects the two stations. Once you get to the station, walk towards the underground passageway. Take the #8 exit (not the train station exit) in the underground passageway. You will see the small sign on the ceiling right after the #8. Take the stairs or elevator up to the first floor to the lobby. I highly suggest paying for the breakfast with the room. The spread is amazing! We ate at the American - Japanese buffet each morning and some of the selections change so you never get bored. We ate at around 7:00-7:30 to avoid most of the crowd. The hotel also has a Starbucks and bakery connected to it. If there is poor weather the underground passageway makes it a breeze to get around. We will stay here again when we’re back in Sapporo.

Had a great experience at Hotel Sapporo - the location was good (near the station, had a direct underpass), the staff were super friendly, and they had many coupons to give when checking in (had some promotion going on in Dec 18). Will def recommend this hotel to friends!

Good location, friendly staff, nice room”
Got this hotel on an offer and it was totally worth the money. While it is an older hotel (it was celebrating its 85th year when we stayed), the room we stayed in was big and comfy. The hotel communicated before our trip that a power outage was scheduled during our stay and they made sure to remind us about it twice more even after we had arrived. The bakery on the first floor makes delicious buns and pastries as well as mouthwatering desserts. Worth every penny. Will stay again if pricing allows!

Wonderful stay in Hokkaido”
Firstly, we love the hotel strategic location. It is easily accessible to train stations, shopping centers and places of attractions. We used the underground walkway to avoid the chilly weather. It was fun to see flea market by local traders at the walkway throughout our stay. Secondly, the staff is very helpful in rendering their service in helping us to secure our taxi booking in the early morning of our flight. Thirdly, the connecting room for 5 adults is big and spacious and we had a wonderful and pleasant stay.
