Great location, everything else; disappointing ”
My review of the Berkeley Court Hotel is with mixed feelings. This was of course one the cheapest hotels I could find using Momondo. Because of that I was not expecting it to be great, but at least decent. The location of the hotel was truly great. That was however the only great part of the experience. Our room card kept on not working, even though we got new cards multiple times. The shared-bathroom was not very clean and felt below low standards of cleaning. There was no shampoo or soap at disposal. I suppose you get what you pay for.

Short and sweet, good value. ”
The stay was good, the check in was quick which made things run smoothly. Rooms were clean and well kept. No lift so heavy bags are complicated to carry up. The location is good, it's close to the university of London and an above average student hotel. Staff were receptive and understanding which is important when on a short time scale. It's close to TfL links and well worth the walk to get to the station.

My Stay”
I don't really have a problem with the hotel itself, it was okay. I wasn't expecting a castle for £55 pp for 3 days, I rated breakfast low because we didn't have any that's all. my main issue was they we're fully aware that my friend was in a wheel chair but still gave us a basement room, its not easy hauling that thing up and down stairs, I understand that its not their fault on how the building itself is planned out but they didn't even offer to help with the chair. my other issue is, while we were attending the concert which was the main reason for our stay, we were out of the room for 13 hours at best and when we returned the room hadn't been given fresh bedding. not really a big deal but with 3 women in the room and all 3 of those women at stages of their menstrual cycle, fresh bedding was needed. it also meant that by the time of check in we had managed to build up 3 days of 'lady trash' in the bathroom. it really wasn't pleasant.

Budget hotel”
rooms are really basic. newly renovated so at least clean. shower is clean and functional. does not provide hand towels. certain items on request only, e.g., kettle (not clean), hair dryer, even toilet paper! (p/s. housekeeping is not great). remember...like most budget hotels in the uk,there is no lift and the stairwell is extremely narrow and steep. Too loud because room is near the stair. anyway I satisfy this hotel at this budget price

It was cheap”
It was OK. Not Great. I paid for an onsuite room but this was not available when we arrived... I was told that is was under repair. The beds were terrible one was on a slope and the other was all springs. But again this was super cheap place so you get what you pay for. the staff were helpful enough

Bad service”
First night no receptionist , put a number back in 5-10 min( standard sign) he is back in 20 min. I payed for my room and want access. Is quite bad. After that arrive 03.30 in the night. No receptionist and my keycard is not working. After 30 min i get him on the phone . And i get in. Quite stressful in the night i simply want to sleep when i get back and have paid for that is my right. Other than that it was ok. So would say 4 of 10 or 5 /10

worst hotel ever”
worst stay ever , got to hotel no one on rececption so had to wait 20mins ,then taking to a room we didn't book ,so then taken to a twin , window catch broken so it wouldn't close ( in winter ) + no curtain. that got fixed but the room was horrible, no duvet just a throw over, no kettle or cups ,no bin no cupboard just coat hangers hanging of the tv . then after all that we had problems with the key card . the hotel is in a good location but I would not recommend staying + they charged £5 just to leave our bags in the reception while we waited for our coach but they just left them on the stairs HORRIBLE HOTEL

There is nothing pros about this property. It's the lousiest place that I had stayed till date. This property should be shut down ASAP. Except for a bed they have nothing to offer. Rooms are dirty. Feels very unhygienic when you enter. There is no safe. There is no place to keep yr things or your bags. No hangers to hang your costs etc. They don't even offer soap. Luckily I had carried my own soap. Only in the desperate situation you can think of going here. Otherwise pls don't even think of it. It's a pure waste of money. And it's not that he is charging less. He charges like any other hotels but doesn't give any service. It's just a one man show - husband and wife managing the hotel and they hv one maid to do all other housekeeping jobs. Rooms are not even cleaned everyday. Agoda should check before adding it in their rolls. Now my trust in Agoda.com has also shaken. Hope Agoda takes some action.

Dirty and nothing works.”
The room was dirty, there were dead bugs and hair on floor. Table was sticky and I actually saw bugs running all over the bed. My keycard to open the door didn't work. I had to get it changed every day, and registered/topped up again and again, multiple times a day. Facilities? Nothing but a bed and dirty table and chair. There was also an old TV but apparently only for the look. No buttons or remote control to be found. Bathroom was also dirty and shower was moldy. Not ideal to feel disgusted after shower. There was only one bathroom to share. "24h open reception" wasn't 24h open. At least they left door open if I happened to come back at night. I had to leave early in the morning for my flight back and my check out was me leaving the keycard on the desk as there was no lights, door closed, no one near by. "Free wi-fi" didn't work. Only good thing was location, after couple of days I found an easy way to find there and to Marble Arch. Quite expensive for nothing I feel.

Brilliant location. However rooms require some updating. Mainly windows as being on the busy roads does not help without doubleglased windows. Also bathroom requires attention as tiled on the floor are loose

Besdies its location, there is nothing that worth mentioning. NO television(There is a TV in the room, but not cable connection.. They advised that if I want to watch TV I have to pay an extra. The room is very basic and small.

Dirty looking room next to banging door and creaky staircase. Staff who could not speak english”
I put 1 star as thee is no zero option! On arrival staff member (who could not speak much English if any), did not know how to use system to see if myself and another guest who was waiting, were on the system meaning we had a 10 minute wait while he bickered on the phone to manager in front of us until I firmly asked he hurried up as I had been travelling for some time. The facilities were filthy and noises. I asked for an iron the next day (what was I thinking), and had to mime what I meant as this different member of staff did not understand nor care that another guest had taken it and she didn't know who or where. Very very poor and I will pay tbe extra next time and get something more substantial or there are always park benches!

Disgusting”
The rooms are disgusting. The beds are awful, like sleeping on a bed of rocks. The sheets are dirty and re-used without even being washed. There were bags of trash in our room when we arrived and the floor was dirty too. To sum it up, everything was dirty and nasty.

TERRIBLE - A total MESS ”
They double blocked me and did not have my room, instead they put me in the basement with no remote for the tiny TV. There was no real window but a peep-hole in the room door (no privacy) and constant light shining into the room from the hall way. Also no toiletries, no kettle, a table but no chair, ... They double-charge my card with the deposit and did not refund it; now I need to call Chase for a charge-back as Agoda is asking impossible proofs. TERRIBLE (But I had free early check-in and the location is just 2 blocks behind Selfridges)

Fire escape room”
I booked for a twin bed room with shared bathroom, but our room was in a basement in an emergency exit room with 3 single beds. when we arrived the lady at the front office was so visibly embarrassed, to ask that if we don't like the room would not have repaid. We looked around but it was too late to find a different accommodation. An horrible experience. Not to mention a drawer full of condoms. (???) If you did not have rooms you did not have to rent. I would not recommend it to my worst enemy. Let that place close.

Gross and ratty, holes in the wall, molded bathroom, no soap or mini shampoos, we were lucky there was toilt paper! Pros: staff was friendly and sheets were clean.
