Extremely comfortable Accomodation ”
In Edinburgh for a small private function at the Arthur Conan Doyle centre we booked an overnight stay but wish it had been longer! The small classic suite was well appointed with a most comfortable bed and a large bathroom with spa bath and separate shower. Wonderfully plump pillows , large fluffy bath towels and robes, one of the biggest plus points for me was FRESH milk in the fridge! This was our second time at the Edinburgh Residence and hopefully will not be the last. Staff were extremely helpful and charming. A great place to stay......

The Edinburgh Residence is a comfortable, spacious place to stay. The location in convenient for the attractions of Edinburgh while being quiet with great views (if you are at the back). The staff were all friendly and helpful at all times. Definitely recommended!

Great propriety”
We picked this hotel based on cost-benefit, looking for a great experience (clean, good service and comfortable). Located in a quiet neighbourhood, less than 10 minutes from the city centre, it's very convenient and peaceful. The fact of not having a restaurant was a plus for us, since breakfast was served in or room! Staff very very kind, always trying to help. We felt like being home. Huge room! We will definitively come back if in Edinburgh again.

That was first time to go to Edinburgh. That was cold day but this house staffs were kind enough to get warm to stay and we were regret to stay only a day. Fabulous place to stay. ”
A really lovely place to stay, only a 10 minute walk to Princes/Rose Street and all that they have to offer. We were fortunate to get the room on a deal price so good value. The full price (well over twice what we paid) would stop us returning. The in suite breakfast and evening meal were delicious. Will definitely be looking for “offers” so that we can return.

Fabulous hotel, we wanted for nothing”
On arrival we were greeted very warmly and shown to our room - whereupon we learned that we'd been upgraded to a grand suite with compliments of the hotel. The room was beautiful - huge and really well appointed, the bath robes were soft and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel was really convenient for the main sights - about ten minutes walk to Princes Street and a further ten or so to the station and Old Town/Royal Mile. Breakfast was fantastic - make sure you go for the potato scone!

Romantic break”
Arrived after stressful journey to be met by very pleasant reception staff who offered refreshments, mince pies before being shown to our gorgeous suite. There they had placed an ice bucket with Proscecco and an anniversary card. The hotel was elegant, the room was spacious and very well presented. Breakfast served in our suite, lots to choose from and plenty to eat. Quiet location close to Princes Street.We hope to make a return trip very soon.

Super surprise hotel, very Scottish style, the room is large and spacious, the service staff is also very caring.The hotel is a Scottish decoration, very fresh and slightly far away, but you can walk to the buildings of Sunan on foot.Such a good hotel, On the next trip, I will come back here again to have a good time here.

The staff were amazing, so friendly and could not do enough for us. The hotel was beyond our expectations, from our afternoon tea to room service and breakfast we could not fault the excellent food served to us. The suite was immaculate, ideal location for exploring the capital, worthy of it's 5 stars. We will certainly be visiting again in the near future.

Fantastic stay. Location only 5 minutes from princess street. Rooms huge and the same cost as a travelodge. Great facilities, lovely baths and shower. Staff always willing to help and allowed us a little longer to stay. I would recommend breakfasts . Very fairly priced.

Fantastic location - 10 minute walk from Princes Street and about 25 minute walk to Castle and main attractions. Great staff - communication before arrival, during and whilst we stayed was great. Happy to store our bags for us, lovely check in and some superb recommendations. The room - a classic suite, very spacious, well appointed and comfortable in all ways. Everything is excellent. The location is quaint and safe. The staff are all polite and helpful, they help us book all the local tours and restaurants. But the hotel isn’t air conditioned, that’s the only set back I find. Note though most hotels/ pubs/ public facilities, etc in town don’t have it either.

Great place to stay cloe to Princess street”
This was an amazing place to stay. We booked a suite since it was 4 of us. The rroms and bathrooms were spacious. You could see the Castle from a distance and the staff very friendly and proactive. The breakfast was great and served in the room.

We loved the old-style furniture and huge bathroom. It doesn't feel like an ordinary hotel. The view from the top floor is also fantastic. Altogether, a very charming hotel.

Overall good stay, shame someone hit my car and ran! Parking area had no cameras so was unable to locate who it was, otherwise very good. Just be careful where you park in the hotel car park.

Absolutely unbearable, from walking in the hotel to departure you really couldn't fault it, certainly we will return. The breakfast was out of this world.
