Lovely place”
I have been around the world a number of times and stayed at hundreds of locations in most forms of accommodation. From motor homes trips around Europe, bed and breakfast in the UK, Youth Hostel in Argentina and a multitude of 4-5 star hotels and resorts in Europe, Canada, North America, South America, Australia, South Pacific Islands and many Asian countries. Yes, 4-5 star resorts are impressive with their pools, gardens and ocean views but for me I would put the stay at Under the Coconut Tree as a preferred choice and would rate it in the top 10 places that I have been to. It made an impact on my wife and I and it will be our first choice on returning to Hoi An as well as also being on the short list of Vietnam’s destinations for visiting foreign family members. It doesn’t have a pool, ocean views or even hot water at the bathroom basin, however it is the only place where I have witnessed the guests give other guests and the staff a warm hug when they were leaving. For us the place was very clean, the staff were friendly, warm and helpful and the atmosphere was homely and inviting to intermix with the other guests if it suited you. The included breakfast was very nice, there are some other great restaurants and beach very close.

First place during my travel i regret i had to leave. Amazing place. The private room is a dream. Clean, beautiful and smells wonderful after lemon. The room has everything you need. Also the dorm looks fantastic. The stuff is amazing. Jack got not tired helping me, giving me good recommendations or advices. Amazing restaurants (also vegetarian) are in walking distance. Also the beach which is clean and not crowed at all. I love this place and i will come definitively again.

Despite the gloomy weather and the neighbors' Lunar New Year celebration ;), I enjoyed my stay here very much. The huts are simple and gorgeous. All that you might need is there. I was met with so much heart and generosity by the staff and I needed that. I highly recommend Under The Coconut Tree.

Good stay literally next to the beach”
Nicely decorated, clean, and neat room, a 3-min walk to An Bang beach. The staff were all super nice and helpful. The facility may need some extra care. The 2 windows in my room couldn’t be locked and could be opened from the outside. The area has most of the food I needed, but for more diverse and local choices, you may want to move towards the center of Hoian.

A hadden gem with sweet people”
We enjoyed our stay so much. The bungalows gave us the atmosphere would could only dream off. It was simple but what more do you need for a holiday. Very close to the beach and very sweet employees. Of course we hope to come back someday.

Bamboo summer house feeling”
For me this cool small hotel has given a pease of jungle and warm family feeling. They have very cool Vietnamese design with bamboo walls and furnitures, traditional lanterns inside rooms. I had as well somehow get away from civilization impressions being there. The beach is amazing, waves are perfect for beginners, umbrellas and food/drinks are available at the beach. The only challenge for me was this cock bird which definitely lives nearby somewhere and starts his kokareku song around 5.00 a.m.

Nice place to relax by the beach, you get a mosquito net over your bed and they clean up very nice everyday. Outside bathroom, shower etc. Loved being here, relaxed etc

Lovely place with nice ecology decoration. If u want to meet new friends, chill on the beach (3min walk) it's the place to be!! The staff are also nice and friendly. Room really clean. A little bit noisy... anyway it's depend if u travel for work or chill ;)

Great homestay”
We arrived at the might night, reception came back home and only guard in there so had some problem about check in, we booked room 60 m2 but did nt had that room and homestay changed 2 rooms (no more money). The room is clean with nice design, nice for chill, have swimmingpool, have breakfast include, very close the beach, great place to stay. Next time, I will return to stay in here.

Great place! Best hostel breakfast EVER! The staff was so friendly and the location is great. Facilities are not all there but it is beach/bamboo bungalow. Had incredible hot showers.. would gladly go back!

If you like a load back, relaxing hide away on the beach then this place is for you. It is the perfect place to meet travelers and even just hang out for the night. The whole hostel feels dreamy with its lush plants and festive lanterns. This place is a great value for the money if you are looking for something with more personality than the typical resort.
