Villa Alzhun Tourist Inn and Restaurant”

nice location, with dining overlooking the water. not far from central tagbilaran, with free transport to port or airport. the rooms are adequate, with aircon, tv and refrigerator, but a bit scruffy. i could not get hot water from my shower. the wifi worked in my room, as well as in the public areas. there is no lift and no rooms on the ground floor. meals are reasonable in price and quality but the so-called american breakfast is poor. service rather erratic, sometimes fine but patience required at other times! nothing special but if the location suits you, ok for the price.

I booked this room online for my sister , her 9 month old baby & fiancee. When they arrived late at night, they were told that this hotel only accepts cash so no room for them. The fact that the hotel only accepts cash payment was not explained on the website and the management would not let them stay the night and pay in the morning. I am very disappointed because this was a special gift from me and I had planned to cover all meals and expenses, so my sister had only a little cash. Instead of relaxing and enjoying, they were forced to find another hotel at midnight with a baby because they staff had no sympathy for their situation. I cannot recommend Villa Alzhun as a caring resort

Great location and Affordable Hotel”

we had a good stay at the hotel. it was very convenient for me and family. the rates are very affordable and the members of the staff are very friendly.

Beautiful sunset view from hotel restaurant”

this place is good for a one-night stay. they didn't have working internet while we where staying. the rooms don't match the beauty of the outside hotel and are very basic and hot. the place is more like a small convention centre and has a very beautiful view of the estuary/bay which is a highlight of the hotel. the food was good in the restaurant but they did have ants running around on some of the tables

Budget Travel Wise”

The manager Ms. Judith is very accommodating. I was surprised with the food servings. Food was good and fit to my bugdet. It's simple and not so extravagant. If you're a kind of person that's not meticulous in so many things and you just stick to your budget, then this hotel is for you.

Great location next to the strait, tiny room”

the room was a very tiny room, downstairs, no view, nothing "superior" about it, food was fine, staff a bit clueless but friendly, great view of strait, far from anything. ok for a late arrival in tagbilaran and next day departure to panglao.

Quiet and Relaxing Place”

i was able to witness sunset from my room and it was a very nice experience. not recommended for a long stay. the room is so small and simple.

Acceptable”

They have a 10% service charge on there food. They never have a set time for there restaurant is open. And for breakfast they have only one kind of dish you never have a choice to pick it and the restaurant opens at 8:A.M. And if they have something going on in there Banquet room they come first before there Hotel guest. I will never recommend the place to anyone.

Nice hotel but staff were not helpful”

the rooms were fine, if a little tacky. the dinner was excellent but the breakfast the next day was abysmal (small and undercooked). the staff were not very helpful and even chose to ignore us when we asked for information. also our room was next to the bar which kept playing extremely loud music.

Terrifying place, worst hotel I have ever stayed..”

Sticky room, amcient howling A/C taken out from the late 70', really poor staff communication, the bathroom was absolutely disgusting, "hotel" was situated quite far from Tagbilaran, wieh practially zero possibilities of ordering a cab (we've waited for an hour to get a cab to the city). A definite disaster.

Not really up to scratch”

The location has much to offer but the management and service standards don't match the location. The staff were sufficient in numbers but not attentive or smiley, preferring each other's own company and playing around on the hotel computer situated in the reception area to attending to the guests. Food and drink choices were good but portions were sparse and the waiters struggled to remember to bring the items ordered. The bedroom was clean but very basic, although the bed itself was very comfortable. The bath was non functional and the apology for a shower failed to produce anything better than a trickle of tepid water. Be prepare to be disappointed - the hotel needs a radical management overhaul.

bad service and personal. not have hot shower and remote tv control. the room (103) is not clean and very noise. the staff lied about the price of moto taxi ex. hotel to chocolate hills is 2700 p. per person!!!!!!? we booked the room on agoda. ( information : free airport trafer ) we asked the staff to airport transport and then they told " no , not have this" but we read on brochure of this hotel in souvenir shop and it write that " free airport transport"...!

One word: WRONG”

As we walked in the room the light didn’t work and it was not replaced. The flush of the toilet didn’t work, it was never fixed, but a bucket was provided. The TV didn’t work. Hot water didn’t work. When we sad to the manager about all these problems, she suggested us to find another hotel. We found a cockroach in the room and how my last night, I got bitten several times by some insects. I wish I could post pictures...

Un hôtel situé à Tagbiliran, plus près que Panglao, si l'on veut aller excursionner dans Bohol (Chocolate Hills, tarsiers). La piscine est bienvenue, vu qu'il n'y a pas de plage. En revanche, l'hôtel, situé en bord de route, est très bruyant et il ne faut pas compter sur les nombreux employés à ne rien faire, pour rendre service. Franchement très décevant.

Hotel laissé à l'abandon”

Malheureusement, notre séjour à cet hôtel a été plus que décevant. Il était recommandé dans 2 de nos guides, alors quelle déception à notre arrivée. La plancher de la chambre était sale, il n'y avait pas d'eau chaude, le mobilier vraiment désuet et laid et l'hôtel semblait être à l'abandon. Il n'y avait pas le service de restaurant tel que décrit dans les guides. En fait c'est le prix de la chambre qui nous a vraiment dérangé. C'est frustrant de payer aussi cher en Asie pour ce genre de chambre et d'hôtel sans service et assez loin du centre de la ville.
