Excellent!!!!”
Villa Formosa was everything and more than we could have asked for!!! From the attentive and kind staff, to the hospitable owners (Mathias and Matet) it was a pleasure to stay there in every sense of the word. We stayed in the delux bungalow and it was spacious, comfortable and exceptionally clean. The restaurant in Villa Formosa was delicious and with the suggestions from both Mathias and Matet we discovered some fantastic dishes. We cant wait to come back :)

Best food on Panglao Island”
Our stay at Villa Formosa was one of the very best in the Philippines. We liked that it has only a small number of villas and huge, clean pool. Our dining experiences were top class and the staff happily attended to our every wish. The very professional proprietors Matet & Mathias create a very friendly and happy ambience. The highlight really was the wonderful Italian cuisine prepared by Mathias and his staff. Thank you.

Villa Formosa is the perfect place to stay if you want to be central but not in the middle of the craziness. Dumaluan beach is also just 5 minutes walk and one of the nicest beaches in my opinion

Nice getaway”
Small hotel outside Alona Beach. Takes about 8 min to get to Alona Beach with a tricycle (150 pesos) Big rooms, nicely decorated. Even though it is outside town, there is a bit of noise from chickens, dogs and road, so don't expect total silence Great Italien food, maybe the portions are a bit small, that goes for the breakfast to, where you can choose from a couple of dishes. Little more expensive then if you go into town. The staff is VERY friendly, and really helpfull. There is a nice Beach just a couple af minuts walk away, you can't go there without passing through a resort, so it costs 25 pesos for the whole day to go to the beach. In the resort there is toilets, a small shop were you can buy cold drinks and snacks, and a little bar that makes food and drinks, the prices are okay. Transport from airport costs 600, and to ferry pier 700 + 10 pesos. A little bit expensive for my taste.

Relaxation achieved during my whole stay.”
We were lucky to find this place, because our group (9pax) had the entire place to ourselves. The pool and garden view was very relaxing. The villas were excellent, very modern and the beddings and pillows were 5 star hotel quality. It was so hard to get up in the morning and do the tours. The place itself was already good for relaxation and fun, you would forget there was a beach outside.

Great location and food, very attentive staff”
We had a couple of nights at the Villa. The staff is very polite and attentive. The rooms are very big with a very modern bathroom. The location is just 5mins away from the beach. The restaurant serves authentic Italian cuisine. We had great time. Highly recommend to couples and families with children.

A great little place”
Very close to the most beautiful beach on Bohol. The staff were delightful and made us very welcome. Breakfast was great and the two dinners we had during our 5 day stay we really good. It was a a lovely little place, just thought though that it was a tad overpriced and basic as we had stayed in better quality accomadation for less on Bohol.

Good location! Sadly maintenance required”
We stayed for 4 nights in one of the Villas, very roomy and quite comfortable overall as weather was very steamy. However disappointed with maintenance of the place in general -shower leaked, some of the furnishings were out of place and others had seen better days. We are regular travellers and definitely not picky and rarely write these reviews. This accommodation was regarded as a 'Treat' due to the cost per night, cost but sadly did not equate to quality here. Rooms should be around 30% less unless they do some refurb works. Standard breakfast included but could choose some options and cook staff were always happy to please. Staff in general were always happy and helpful. Location great as close to the best beach by far, Dumaluan. Turn right and beach gets wider, cleaner and less trodden. Lovely area with really nice locals, the reason why we all should travel is to meet the people and enjoy there culture. Enjoy you time in Philippines wherever you stay. Cheer Ads n Tan

Nice rooms, weird location”
Very nice rooms, especially for this price. Staff was very nice but didn't have much information to offer. Location is a few minutes walk from nice beaches, but most of them are exclusive for in house guests. But far from Alona beach- which is tha main area for restaurants and dives, but doesn't have a nice beach. You can rent a scooter for 400 peso for 24 hours or take a tricycle for 150 peso.

Lovely quiet little place”
Great place to stay if you're after a bit of peace and quiet and a relaxing stay by Damaluan Beach (5 mins away), and don't want to stay in a big resort. All tastefully decorated and furnished, large rooms with lovely balconies and a great pool.

Family location”
Hotel is well located for good beach (better than Alona). It is quiet. There's nothing in the area except the beach although there's a nice Filipino cafe area down there. The restaurant is excellent at the hotel. The room is a bit odd as there is no furniture except bed and built in cupboard, but it is a big room,, bungalow actually. I was surprised there was no TV at all, no chair inside or sofa. Chairs on balcony though. It is a big size and good for a family. Lots of nature around which really gets going early in the morning! Staff are great.

Loved it! The property has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. It is ideal for a couple and would be good for a family or anyone looking for peace and quiet. The staff are very accommodating and friendly and the restaurant has excellent Italian food. The attention to detail was impressive. It seems very underrated at 3 stars, it feels like at good 4 star property. Thanks for the best stay on my trip!

close to beach and wonderful hotel surounding”
We liked it a lot! We got so much for our money. The pool area and dining section is peacefull and has a warm atmosphere. The stuff and manager are engaged in what they do and we feelt very welcome. Its about 200 meters to the beach where you pay only 25 ph/person to a place thats so wonderfull. There is no negative thing about this place if you are looking for a nice beach and relaxing.

Amazing place. Really great for a romantique getaway. You have to pay to get on the beach, a bit strange, but worth it. Really great pool. Great food. Alhona beach is a 5km drive away but this spot is much better for a quite getaway from the action at Alhona.
