Walking distance from Where 2 Next Manila Hostel to US Embassy. It was so near and no need of taxi. :-) Will book again with our next trip. Thank you.

This Place... is a Personal Favourite!”

This wasn't my first time to stay at Where 2 Next, but this is my first time making the booking thru Agoda. Anyway, as always, it was easy to spot because like I said, it wasn't my first time. When I arrived, I was greeted by smiling faces, thanks to Maila and Belle (these two were new, but they were awesome!). I stated my reservation details & the check-in process was quick. In the succeeding days, I had a good time as always, I stayed a total of 4 nights. I was very glad to see old faces, like that of Jonas', Charlotte and Kuya Leo. I was told that Cris (another staff member) has moved to Palawan to take care of another property. I only have good things to say for this place. Perhaps, they can do a little something with their double deck beds so that it doesn't move as much and perhaps add in more power outlet options, so it's easier to access for those staying at the top bunk. Wi-Fi is alright in the public areas, but can be improved to be strong enough to access within the rooms. Breakfast options are sufficient and I surely would like to recommend this place to others travelling solo. Finally, I met a ton of wonderful people during my stay, so it was superb!

Good value friendly hostel in Malate”

Where 2 Next is a great find; the dorm I was in was spacious, had lockers [bring your own padlock], good comfy beds and its own bathroom, and the rate included a good breakfast. The public area downstairs has plenty of hanging-out space to meet fellow travellers, there's a kitchen to do your own thing, and the staff I encountered were all really nice and helpful. They also seemed pretty good at dispensing info about things happening around the city and helping with onward travel. Wish I'd found this place sooner than my last night in the Philippines! Thoroughly recommended.

good hostel in good location”

The hostel is in Malate, Metro Manila. The surrounding area can be somewhat shady but if you're careful, you should not be worried about it as it is quite a touristy location. From the hostel, it's a 20-minute walk to Intramuros, Rizal Park, National Museum. The hostel is clean, staff is friendly, wifi can be accessed in the common room. bathroom in the 6-bed dorm was ok. There were a few baby cockroaches in the kitchen and dining area but those can be easily killed. All in all, value for money.

Basic hostel good for quick stop in Manila ”

This is a fine hostel within walking distance to intramuros and some restaurants/bars. The wifi was in and out. Our room was clean but every night at about 2 am there was loud music playing for a few hours from a nearby bar which made it hard to sleep. Would recommend if just staying in Manila a night or two. Very nice staff.

Roaches. In the bathroom. I spent 280 pesos on roach spray. For that money I wish I'd just booked a better hostel. No way was I eating breakfast there. And the noise from horns honking all night (even excessive compared to previous Manila experiences) made me regret staying here. But the staff was friendly and helped me with my large bag.

Where 2 Next Manila”

Nice rooms but according to the attendant same shall only be cleaned upon check out. Same with towels/bed sheets, you need to request before it shall be changed. The breakfast is served at 7:30am so if you have an appointment at 8:00am you have to skip it.

Unclean and insufficient customer sevice”

Cancelled my last booking due to unavailability of the room. The repainting job still unfinished at check-in time and still for cleaning and bed preparation. And worst the receptionist (a certain Cris - the name he/she gave me - gay) is the most unprofessional front liner I dealt with .... ever. Knowing their delay, he has the guts to be rude.

Terrible”

Rats in the kitchen, ladies of the night on the street outside, and aggressive beggars everywhere. The hostel breakfast was rank. They also misled about the fan room having air con and did't advertise it properly. The shared bathrooms were not too clean, with no soap in sight.
