We had a great stay ”
We had a free upgrade to a suite with amazing view from a big balcony. Sunset from the balcony is unforgettable and we thank the hotel for this free upgrade. All stuff are professional, Marvel speaks good Chinese, the gentleman helped us with room service and toilet plumbing issues were both extremely helpful. Special thanks to the doctor arranged by the hotel, the doctor came to our room, and sent us medicine all without charging a cent. It was very heartwarming and we felt so taken care of.

The location and hotel in the old building was beautiful The astronomical cost of cocktails and food definitely put me off. We had friends staying in the newer building and I would not recommend staying there for the nightly price

This place is stunning. Old world charm with modern convenience . Great ambiance and views. Excellent breakfast out on the patio. Very friendly and helpful. When we visit Aswan again , we will only stay here.

The paradise in Aswan! ”
The hotel is fantastic, the setup, the view, the rooms, the front office service. But the spread of food at breakfast, the restaurants service is really bad and so poor. And I had the worst creme brûlée at this hotel. For a five star hotel it is a terrible service. They need to improve on this section and this section only. “Service and quality and spread of food”

Stayed 3 night with a room over looking the Nile River. Amazing hotel. Staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Breakfast buffet was good. Dinner was excellent. Was given a tour of Winston Churchill suite. Definitely would book again.

The hotel, the rooms and the location are spectacular and make up for any small negatives. The service was only good in some instances and great in others. The restaurant situation is a bit strange, there are more restaurants advertised than actually exist.

I was given an upgrade and got to stay in a palace suite. Simply phantastic. The only thing I did not like was the cold inside the hotel especially in the dining room

This is a beautifully located historic building. Some of the rooms are very large and luxurious. We were offered an upgrade for $50 per night. The price we paid with agoda was the lowest in our party. The staff are very pleasant and courteous but some could do with a little more training. The food is very average, which for Egypt is a recommendation. Cape bay was the only drinkable wine we found . Take care in Egypt with the date of white wine as it turns to sherry after 18 months. Also don’t order non local gin etc it will set you back more than you bargained. Maybe book any excursions with your travel agent or online as the hotel adds a large premium. Breakfast is good with eggs cooked to order. I would return

Beautiful views of the Nile ”
the only complaint we have is of the food, which was ok - however two restaurants had the same menu which reduced the options. And the menu was not up to the standard you might expect. Breakfast was good. Staff are great and very accommodating. I have celiac disease and they made every effort to accommodate my dietary needs, once they understood.

This was a treat to stay in - such classic looks and feel, yet the rooms were nice and modern and the bed, shower, bathroom was incredible. The pool and surrounds were exceptional - we wish we'd stayed longer!

A great heritage hotel”
This is one of the nicest heritage hotels we have stayed in. The rooms in the newer wing are excellent and we paid a little more for a suit overlooking the Nile, and the view was magnificent. Take the time to sit on the balcony and enjoy it a while. The breakfast was good, restaurant was good, indoor pool and sauna is small nicely decorated, the outdoor pool is great and finally the staff couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and valued. A great heritage hotel.

Overall the hotel is fantastic. The gym is a little lacking if you are looking to workout. There also isn't much in the area but you're in Aswan for the historical sights not the city itself.

Perfect setting on the Nile”
Away from the hustle of Cairo. Aswan is good place to relax and take in the Nile. The hotel is of a high standard with well maintained grounds and responsive staff. Comparative value at this time in Egypt is not so good as the don't seem to have adjusted their prices to match demand. Better value to be found.
