"Great location, in a quiet corner near all the craziness of Shinjuku, so you get the best of both worlds. Good bar downstairs (was packed and great atmosphere during rugby world cup) and nice staff. The only downside is that the rooms are really tiny - the smallest I've seen in Japan. If you have 2 large suitcases - it will be a challenge. "

"Whenever I stay at a hotel, it is always the staff that makes a difference. The counter staff, concierge and bellboy remembered me when I returned from my outing. I like their personalized greeting. The general manager's personal note and little gifts like Bvlgari chocolates and traditional Japanese red bean cakes inside the room also made a huge difference. Among these, I wish to personally commend the male middle age concierge (who I unfortunately forgot to take his name). He was very professional while providing me advice for my trip, and always took care of little details to ensure my trip is perfect. The hotel is perfectly located in the beautiful Tokyo Station which is a tourist attraction by itself. As it is located in the Tokyo Station, you can easily travel to places like Shinjuku or Shibuya, or out of Tokyo (this is a huge plus point since I needed to travel to Yokohama, Kyoto and so on). It is also located near the Imperial Palace which is also a major attraction. The hotel has a lot of famous restaurants located within, and the toiletries are the branded Gilbert and Soames. I will definitely come back for my next stay and I will strongly recommend this best Tokyo hotel to everyone. Last but not least, the general manager sent us off personally during my last day. I was so touched. "

"The Shibuya Excel Hotel was my first stay in Tokyo Japan. I must say it was the most wonderful experience. The Hotel is brilliantly located, has the best views, lovely and clean and tidy and very quiet. Very relaxing to return to after a busy day exploring this wonderful part of the world. The staff are great ambassadors for Japan and maintain that lovely warmth, respect and friendliness of all Japanese people. I have no hesitation in recommending the Shibuya Excel to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced, comfortable hotel in Tokyo. The longer you stay the better!!!"

"Looking for a hotel is one of the most arduous and critical decisions one makes when one travels. There are so many considerations to be made. In my last trip to Tokyo from the 26th of February to the 4th of March. I found the one hotel I will be staying in every time I visit Tokyo. That hotel is JR KYUSHU BLOSSOM HOTEL SHINJUKU! I absolutely love this hotel. First, the location is key. It is right off the JR Shinjuku Station. Just take the Koshu Kaido exit then turn left and follow the road down. The hotel is less than 5 minutes away in a small quiet alley right off the main road. This is ideal because it makes it quiet. The lobby is big and clean and the rooms are bigger than the average Tokyo hotel room size. The bathroom though is MY FAVORITE thing about the room. I'm actually thinking of redesigning my bathroom to look like the bathroom in this hotel. What I would love though is if the hotel had a small fitness center. The internet was fast and reliable. I love this Hotel!"

"Stayed in the Conrad, Tokyo, from 20 - 24 August 2011 whilst on a business trip. It's about an hour coach (Airport Limousine Coach @ 3000 yen per person 1-way) ride away from Narita Airport. The hotel lobby is located on the 28th floor and checking-in was smooth and efficient. I was allocated a room on the 33rd floor and when I entered the room, I was blown away. The 'WOW!' factor shot through the scale. Large, comfortable room with full length windows overlooking Shiodome. A long sofa, bathtub with a rubber duckie, standing shower, toilet, king sized bed.. it was, to me, more than what a business traveller could have asked for. The hotel's signature restaurant is Gordon Ramsey's, so that speaks volumes of how good this hotel is. Naturally, for a hotel of such stature and the level of service provided, the cost of staying there is quite high. For 4 nights, I paid close to SGD2,500.00; which I think is worth every cent. Accessibility is convenient and cheap too as the Shiodome and Shimbashi stations are all within walking distance where you can take the sub-way to touristy places like Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ginza, Roppongi, Harajuku or even hop on to the JR Express to the airports (Narita or Haneda). If I am travelling again to Japan, Conrad would be my choice of hotel stay!"

"The superior twin non-smoking room is considered a decent size compared to most smaller rooms in Tokyo hotels. The Daiba train station is right in front of the door step of the hotel. Getting in to Tokyo city merely take about 15 minutes, ie from Daiba station to Simbashi sation, Simbashi is a major connection to other lines of the subway system in Tokyo city so it's fairly convenient. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom comes with a full size tub which is rare in Tokyo hotels. The room is newly renovated, with a nice partial view of the Rainbow bridge. The hotel lobby is grand. There is a convenient stall in the hotel (operates 24 hours). The hotel provides free shutter bus to and flow Disneyland and Disneysea (half an hour bus ride, got to book online in advance). I would definitely return to this hotel for my next Tokyo trip and recommend this hotel to friends."
