Not quite suitable for us”
Booked Ferrabrel a day before the actual travel. Since it is summer (peak season), we understand that there are a lot of travelers whose vehicles are waiting in a very very long line just to get to the barge. Sadly, our group waited 6 long hours. We arrived at Balingoan port at 10AM but we arrived at Ferrabrel in Camiguin island at around 6PM and our check in time was supposed to be 2PM. But when we get there, the receptionist told us that our accommodation was not booked with Ferrabrel because according to them, there are communication problems between Ferrabrel and agoda.com (where we booked the accommodation) because of poor internet connection and agoda not being able to communicate with them through phone. (In the first place, their place shouldn't have been included in online booking sites if that is the case!) They were already fully-booked and cannot accommodate us and from what we learned, most places are already fully-booked that time. Imagine that we were so tired from the day's travel and there are toddlers with us. But in fairness to the staff, they were customer-friendly and hurriedly arranged another place for us to stay. Fortunately we were properly accommodated at Pabua's cottages which is very near the jump-off point to the white island with restaurants and shops around. According to some people, maybe Ferrabrel gave the rooms which we already booked (and paid) to someone else because we were late in checking in, but I cannot validate that... Anyways, maybe some people would find Ferrabrel's location as okay because it is a quiet place with lots of trees and near the beach (which is rocky by the way) and it is cheaper in price. But for us, the place is eerie especially during the night, and I did not see any stores/restaurants/shops around which I think is inconvenient especially when with kids. Quiet Place”
We were lucky because are group was the only guest in the resort at that time. It feels like we rented the whole resort and the staff are very accommodating. Their breakfast meal is very delicious.

would never ever stay at this place again to call it a hotel is beyond words. staff very unfriendly never heard of please or thank you, room very sparse not even any toilet paper, no phone, no internet. Never again

great location and clean rooms”
The accomodations were okay. We had the family room which had 5 single beds. We were a couple with two teenage daughters. The food was okay but by the second day no vegatables were available. Also when we ordered supper on the second day the fish was not available. Fruit for dessert only consisted of a banana. Other types of fruit should have been available. I would still come back to this resort for a stay. Please note that there is no sand for the beach.

Simple place to stay but not good beach”
Low price, friendly personnel, simple yet pleasant surroundings, wifi is ok. The resort is good if you plan not to stay the whole day there; that is, if you have places to go to during the day and just wish to have a place to stay at night. However, since price is low for the Guest Room we got, there is no TV. We watched TV during dinner at the canteen. Canteen had no fans, though. The beach fronting the resort has mostly rocks instead of sand which is under the rocks. The rocks were also mossy. In short, the beach fronting the resort is not ideal for swimming.

町から離れた海岸にある静かなリゾートホテルを求めて，ここを予約した．港からのタクシーの運転手が，古いホテル，と言っていたが，その通りだった．華やかなリゾートホテルを期待していたら失望しただろうが，自分の期待通りだったので，滞在してよかったと思う． スタッフはどちらかというと愛想がないが，頼んだことはちゃんとやってくれた．素朴・純朴という感じだった． 部屋には必要最小限のものしかない（ＴＶや冷蔵庫はない）．シャワーは水のみだが気持ちがよいという程度の冷たさ．飲料用のお湯は食堂でポットで提供してくれた． 部屋も食事も値段相応だったと思う．

仲間とともにこのホテルを利用した．町から離れたところにあって，都会離れしていてよかった． 私は波打ち際に近いコテージに滞在したので，波の音と風の音がうるさすぎた（波打ち際から少し離れたゲストルームに滞在した仲間は，波の音がちょうどよかったと言っている）．また，夜，ストームがあって，波がコテージのテラスまで打ちあがってきたので，少々怖かった． 部屋は質素そのもの（キャンプ場のバンガローよりちょっとましな程度）．自分好みだが，都会生活に浸りきった人は大いに不満だろう． スタッフの対応はまあまあ良好．乗り物の手配なども頼んだとおりやってくれた． 食堂で提供される食事は値段からすると妥当なものなのだろうが，味はイマイチだった．
