Hotel leaves much to be desired”

The housekeeping services were basically non-existent during the course of our groups stay. We did not decline housekeeping services for snacks, so there is no valid reason for this. Our rooms were not cleaned once during the 3 days, talk less of fresh towels being provided. The part of the hotel we stayed in was very out-dated and run down. The flooring was wood, no carpet or rug. Additionally, the bath tub was stained, and infested with mold. Even the shower curtain was discolored/wrinkled and did not look like it had been changed in a while, if at all. Mind you, it was not even peak season, we visited during early September. The only positive things were that the staff was mostly friendly and helpful and the hotel is located very close to the beach. One of the pools was very dirty, with stained floors, but the other was cleaner. Lastly, the vending machines usually had no water left, so be prepared to bring your own water. This hotel was truly a disappointment.

Pick something in North Myrtle Beach. This area is the tourist trap. Everything costs you extra. N MB looks cleaner, quieter and more relaxed. This hotel screwed up our entire anniversary beach experience. Overpriced room with NO view, nasty pool and you have to park 2 blocks away!

The staff is top notch! The pools and lazy river are great! The pool and lazy river are heated, covered, and feel great! The other pool is in the sun and not heated. Beach access is easy. Close to many things! Downfalls are the parking is not right on site. It’s about a block away, buy gated. I would def stay here again!

Despite the check in log jam (room wasn't ready until 5) everything exceeded expectations. Spacious 1bd with great view of the ocean. Complementary breakfast buffet at Magnolias restaurant down the block was excellent. I had an issue with clogs in both the sink & toilet on day 3 after speaking with the front desk maintenence came within the hour and fixed both. Very efficient. I was provided with more than enough towels plus washer & dryer in the room so even though daily housekeeping was available through request only I never felt the need for it. I will make this my go to hotel whenever I visit Myrtle Beach.

Poor customer service”

Check in is at 4:00. We did not have a room ready until 10:00. Multiple guests were still waiting after us. Children were sleeping in pool chairs. Manager on duty was rude. When people asked for compensation she told them that she would cancel their reservation and refund them, which would leave them without a room completely. Myrtle Beach hotels were all booked, no available rooms or we would have canceled ourselves. General manager only offering 25% refund for having to wait 6 hours for our room to be ready. Poor guest service. I was told that this impacted 72 rooms, and we’d just have to wait. No offer to have rooms cleaned in order of check-in. Very unhappy, will not recommend to anyone. This is not how guests should be treated.

The only issues I had the coffee maker was not clean, the floors was dusty. I had to sweep and wipe the floors and clean the coffee maker. They did not accommodate by taking off something of my stay. With the COVID I made sure I reclean the room.

The hotel was nice, but the closet door in the first bedroom wasn’t on the tracks so it fell. Other than that it was in a great location.

Don't believe the negative reviews...”

I almost let the negative reviews stop me from staying here. My granddaughter picked it, I sleepily booked and paid for it, then read the reviews the next day. I was horrified by some of them and other reviews left me feeling hopeful. I wasn't sure what I would see. Well to my surprise it was perfect! Beautiful hotel, nice clean lobby, friendly staff who greeted us and went the extra mile to locate a luggage carrier for us. Everything was explained, there were no hidden charges, everything was in black and white before I made the reservation. They place a $100 hold for incidentals, just like other hotels. Breakfast was included at Magnolias On Main (a buffet I'd been wanting to visit since seeing their commercials on TV) and they didn't let me down. Our room was clean and, due to COVID, it was explained that once we checked into our room no one will enter. If clean towels are needed we could get from front desk of call for delivery (as long as we are there to receive). Broom and dust pan and extra trash bags were on hand. We had a wonderful stay and I didn't see any crawling critters. Not one complaint. I certainly recommend it and would stay again. We were on the 9th floor.

Its a pretty decent hotel for the low price, hotel staff is really nice and helpful. You get a breakfast buffet across the street which is really good, its not continental, its a full buffet. The rooms are a bit older but they’re clean and you’re paying a low price per night.
