It’s showing it’s age but nice enough and a great value for the location. We had a sinking feeling when we arrived that we’d made a big mistake but it was too late to get a refund for our reservation. The exterior is in bad shape. The interior isn’t great either but it’s clean enough for a night and a easy walk to the historic sites of St. Augustine.

Clerk that checked me in was rude. I ordered 1 room for 2 nights and she insisted I ordered 2 rooms for 1 night. I had no need for a second room and she insisted that is what I ordered. They screwed up the reservation not me. I reserved a room for April 1st and called to add a new reservation for March 31st so we could come a day earlier. The lady I made the reservation with even said we'll see you tonight. I showed up and the rude lady behind the desk said no you don't have a reservation for tonight you have 2 for tomorrow.?????

They were in the process of refurbishing and painting, which is good for their future but very bad for those arriving during this period. The TV service and internet services were not yet bug free (our 1st room had no wifi at all) and there was a motorized scaffold RIGHT outside our room EVERY day of our 4 day stay as they painted. As I said- I applaud the efforts at updating, but either do one section at a time and don’t rent those rooms- or WARN people of what they are walking into. It definitely put a damper on our 4 day stay.

Disappointed”
I can totally understand that you pay for what you get. But this place seemed like it was falling apart. When checking in, there was only one person at the counter and a long line of people waiting to check in. When we got to the room, there was a small air unit in the window that wasn't blowing cold air. The chair in the room was broken and the beds were extremely hard. The wifi didn't reach that side of the building and I needed to get some work done while I was there so I ended up requesting a new room. The person working the front desk was happy to move me into the main building but when we got to our room, the air conditioner was set to 79 degrees, it smelled like rotten eggs, and the toilet had hair and dirt all over the toilet seat and the seat was broken. The only thing that was really good about this place was the location it was in. The road right behind the hotel was the main strip of attractions.

Even right after the room was cleaned, the floor was filthy. The bed was below average. No water pressure in the shower.

Location was good, but common areas of the hotel were dirty and in bad conditions. Room could have been cleaned better. The bathroom had bad smell, and the extractor fan was not working fine.

It was too much money. It was noisy. The shower sprayed water all over the floor. The a/c did what it wanted and was loud.

This locations is not ideal for the downtown area and it was not clean. In fact, we killed a cockroach!!

The hot water was lukewarm but the hot water in the sink was hot but was told the hot water in shower stays lukewarm so customers won't burn themselves...but still can burn in the sink...SMH

FILTHY, ENTIRE PROPERTY”
EVEN THE ADJOINING RESTURANT WAS A FILTHY MESS. THE FILTH WAS FROM NEGLECT. THE "REMODEL" WORK LOOKED LIKE CHILDREN DID IT WITH NO KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT THEY WERE DOING! THIS PROPERTY SHOULD BE PULLED FROM YOUR INVENTORY. WE HAVE STAYED AT MANY DAYS INNS BUT NOTHING LIKE THIS. WE NOW QUESTION ANY OTHER DAYS INN PROPERTY. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Great location for most, about a mile walk in to town. Close to many attractions! Dennys inside, when its open. Very clean and comfortable! Only problem, they are very understaffed and only one lady for check in, even on the holidays! She is quite nice and does a great job, but line gets long!

the only one pro: location. Con: The bathtub was clogged. The faucet was loose. The beds made loud noise and you can heard everything from the next room.

Dirty property. There was a Dennys on-site and drug dealing going on. The site was close to historic downtown and the trolly tour company is right across the street, but these are the only positive things I can say. No elevators and two stories. I would never consider staying here again.

Good for a quick stay”
This was a good stay for a quick trip to St. Augustine. It is located about a 10 minute walk from the Fort and downtown. The room I had a fridge but not microwave, the tv/cable worked great and the water was hot for showers. Very bare minimum of amenities in the room. The room we had was located in a side with no noise towards the back. The 2nd room we had was located next to the ice machine and there was noise all night long. The walls are very thin so you can hear babies crying, dogs whining or barking, doors slamming and people cursing and being loud. So half our party heard none of that and the other half heard everything. There is a Denny’s locates behind the lobby. For the price it was worth it if you aren’t picky and lucky enough to get a room far away from all the noise.
