Great Location but Some Problems ”

Located steps from the beach with easy access. Our room had no USB ports and very few electric plugs. We were located next to and across the hall from maintenance which was quite noisy early and late. Room had only 1 chair. I wonder if it was because we used a travel site like Agoda and not booking directly with hotel. Needs updating and additional parking. May or may not go back.

Great, except ”

Only 1 elevator working & we got stuck in it yesterday! Front desk said they’d call when our room was ready but didn’t. They’ll only change towels but won’t clean room until you leave. There’s no bathroom near the pool or beach. Otherwise, it’s a nice getaway!

Do not Pay Attention to Their Website ”

The rooms do not have all the furniture, eg. they only had 1 chair at a desk. No place to sit down and eat if you order room service. Also low lighting in the rooms. They do not have house keeping clean the room everyday, even though the website says you can request to have you room cleaned. When you check-in they tell you they will only replace your towels and toiletries and leave that outside your room door. They should offer discounted rates if they are not going to clean the rooms everyday or not have all the furniture in. Also even though they have signs that tell guests they must wear masks everywhere in public areas and elevators, the hotel staff does not enforce this safety practice. Over 90% of the guests do not wear masks at all in the indoor public areas and the hotel staff does nothing to correct this. Guests check in at the front desk with the signs there that state guests must wear masks but the guests disregard the signs and the front desk does not ask them to wear masks indoors.

GREAT WEEKEND GET AWAY!”

This was a good resort. Minus the renovations, this place is great for a family Get-A-Way. It has a big pool, a private walkway to the beach, and the rooms are big and have everything you need to charge your electronics. They also have an amazing breakfast.

Still Under Renovation”

Still under renovation, room incomplete, tired property even with some renovations complete. Not really Guy Harvey, just ise his name, sell his shirts, and display some art. A little disappointed overall.

They must have spent all of their money (and cleaning products) on the lobby building, because the building with the rooms was run down, dirty, and seedy. Our room had not been cleaned or even vacuumed, which was particularly scary, given that I stayed there 6-16-20, during COVID. The pictures online are deceiving, as what you get is an older, dirtier version of the pics. Think cracks in the ceiling, door panel peeling off, carpet baseboards peeled away from the wall, and worst of all - a general wetness/humidity over everything (IN the rooms). Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else!

We only stayed for one night and the group I was with was not very demanding so there was not a high demand for the hotel's services. The location and state of the room were wonderful.

Stayed on 2nd floor . Those rooms do not have balconies. While the beds in my 2 bed room appear to be new and very comfortable , the room smelled like dog. I found out that the 2 nd floor is pets friendly. I wish they would have told me that and I sucked it up for 1 night before checking out next day to a different ocean hotel down the road. The front lobby building is beautiful and it gives the appearance that the rooms building in a separate building would be just as nice. The pet friendly rooms should not have carpet floors but wood or pergo or tile floors like the front lobby restaurant building. Pool furniture was old and shabby looking. Need more lawn chairs and lounges.

The view was beautiful! The room was a bit small but the view is worth it! We stayed during Covid 19 and did not get to enjoy full resort. Planning to return!

The lobby area was nice. However, when we went to our room, the beds had linens that were previously used. Hair on the sheets. We called and they did have someone come up and change them. Another day when we returned to our room, our door was open. Carpeting in the room and halls looked dirty. Not what I thought a Guy Harvey hotel would be. The location on the beach was great though. Elevators very slow.

Not much of a resort ”

I didn’t find anything about this hotel that would make me call it a resort. The room was updated, and appeared clean. I also thought the beds were very comfortable. When we checked in, the balcony door was wide open. The shower door opens at the opposite end of the shower handles, making it hard to adjust the nozzle that was backwards (cold is hot, hot is cold) without getting soaked or scalded. I love animals and don’t have any issues with pet-friendly hotels, except when someone’s dog barks literally all night long and it travels through the walls. The pool area was small and really nothing special. I’m am by no means hotel snob, I guess I just expected more from a Guy Harvey “Resort.”

Best service”

Beds awesome. Everyone so friendly. Nice beach. One of best hotels I have ever stayed at. New work is beautiful. Bathrooms were so nice. Every staff member greeted me and smiled. Will be back

Wait until constrution is complete ”

Room was nice and freshly updated, bed was very comfortable. The the front part of the property was under construction and had limited services. Room cleaning services are poorly managed. If you sleep late miss the morning service call that's it for the day. Rooms need a safe for valuables while visiting the beach.
