Best value for stay, Hospitality at its finest”
I work in the hospitality industry and I can say that Hostel Tommy really offers the best hospitality for great value. It was my friend and I's first time in Seoul and we stayed for 7 nights in February. PROS 1. Rooms, bathrooms and the shared spaces are very clean and orderly. Shower has good water pressure too. 2. Rules are posted everywhere to respect everyone's stay at the hostel. Relatively quiet at night since roads aren't that busy. 3. Location is convenient, 2mins walk to the subway or bus stop, convenience store beside the hostel, 2-5mins walk to famous palaces and temples, foreign exchange and many restaurants or cafes nearby plus Ikseondong is just a 2min walk right across. 4. Free breakfast is great, you cook your own eggs your preferred way with toast, bread, spreads, cereal and soup with coffee, juice or milk. 5. Staff are quite helpful too if you have any inquiries and ofcourse, Tommy goes the extra mile to get to know the guests, welcome them during their stay and give great advice and some knickknacks on our daily adventures. CONS 1. No elevator but you can ask for help from staff with your luggages. 2. If you're looking for the hustle and bustle of hip places, abundant streetfood and makeup/skincare shops this isn't the ideal area for you. If you prefer a quiet, traditional quirky area though this area is perfect and all other places are just a subway ride away anyway. Highly recommended and will stay here again on our next trip to Seoul, hopefully soon 😂

First timer’s luck”
Mr. Tommy and the staffs were great hosts. Their responses to my inquiries were prompt and immediate. Location-wise, it’s very good considering almost all the tourist spots included in the Discovery Seoul Pass are located in Jongno. It’s right at heart of the palaces 😍. It’s also atleast 10 minutes walk to the nearest subway station (Jongno-3-ga). It’s very clean and neat. The facilities cater to all the needs of the guests whether they’re children or adults. I arrived very late due to my delayed flight and the AREX isn’t running anymore nor the airport bus that stops nearby so I was quite worried on how to go to Seoul. But the detailed instructions on where to take the night bus to Seoul Station and self check in procedure helped appease my worries. Tip: just let them know your arrival time so they can provide you details on how to reach the hostel. It was the best hostel experience I’ve had so far and it’s my first time traveling to Korea. 정말 고마워요 사장님 Tommy. 다음 시간까지요. Salamat po! 🇵🇭

The Best Budget Hostel Seoul can offer”
I simply cannot recommend Hostel Tommy enough, it really was an excellent first timer's luck. The best budget hostel we have stayed so far. They respond to my inquiries promptly. All the staff (Hi Min!!!) including Tommy himself were very friendly and accommodating. Moreover, it is less than 10-minute walk to/from the subway and near major tourist spots. Their rooms are sound proof that even we were assigned on the room along the street, the noise from the outside - even from other guests - didn't even bother our good night sleep. It was very neat and clean, and the beds are comfortable too. The breakfast was basic and the same everyday but it's ok, it really taste good and is unlimited from 8-10am. You can also do your laundry at the rooftop - free of charge, you just have to buy detergent soap from the reception at a minimal cost. Overall, we had a great and comfortable stay. If we will have another chance to go back to Seoul, definitely, we'll come back and stay here again. :)

Your extra home in Seoul”
This place is one of those difficult to rate. And here is the reasons On the positive side. You have an excellent location. Staff is friendly but still "human", just a i like it. The Hostelowner Tommy is an incredible man. Knowledgable, helpful, empathic. He really takes care of you in all matters possible. My family grew found of him. Other staff is also great like So /( sorry So should have learned your full name ;) ) Its a slow and quiet hostel, which make it perfect for those who want a slow and calm pace. Free breakfast ( a little simple but it fills your tummy) They provide boardgames ++ for you and your family Free use of washingmachines Everything you need nearby. Ps: just beside the hostel there is a convinient store with everything a tourist need. The negatives This is a slow place , so if your out to having parties at the hostels this might not be for you. Rooms is good for a hostel but simpler then a hotelroom. You still got a bed a refrigiator and a small tv.

You feel at home even when you're away from home”
I've been to Seoul for nth times and Hostel Tommy is the best guesthouse I stayed in Seoul so far. The owner Mr. Tommy is really nice and friendly, he is very accomodating to his guest. The guesthouse is very clean and you can feel that the place is safe as well. The breakfast is really a plus..cereal, bread with lots of different spread, eggs (unlimited 🥚👍), juices and coffee you will never leave the guesthouse with an empty stomach 😄 and the place is very near to the subway station just 5 minutes walk. You will never feel away from home cause Hostel Tommy is like your second home in Seoul. I will recommend this hostel to all my friends and surely I will stay here again when I comeback to Korea. Kudos to all the nice and friendly staff too. Borahae!!! 💜💜💜

The place was so clean and there were lots of activities to do there. We enjoyed playing billiards, table tennis, table hockey, darts, and the massage chair too! They have most of the things that you need. They lend us their umbrellas, iron, and charger. Tommy gave a balloon to my daughter too! When my daughter asked for some cereals for dinner, they provided it for her. Tommy even gave her a whole pack of fresh milk :) I enjoyed cooking the eggs for breakfast and the unlimited bread and nutella, jam and the fresh fruit juices. :) Thanks tommy!

One of the best places I've rented”
The hotel provided us with more than what we asked for. We came from a connecting flight and we were so tired but we arrived way earlier than check in, he let us sleep on the couch and even gave us blankets! He also provided a birthday cake. He was helpful on where to go and what to do for the day. The hostel is very clean and very organized. All the staff were very warm and helpful. There is a mini grocery beside the hostel and 7 eleven was just several meters away. The bus and train station were also just a few meters away. We had a great time here and we will definitely rent this place again.

The hostel live up to it’s rating. If I can give alot of stars I would. We checked-in late and the information on how to go to our room was very much simple . Kudos to the staffs who will welcome you in the morning and greet you. The kitchen has a feel that you are at home. My mom enjoyed their coffee so much while I enjoy their cereals. Very informative on how to go to the places of activites you wanted to roam. Tommy was so kind to give me and my mom a free facial masks. That was a treat. The hot water shower is something to look forward after a long day. The vicinity of the hostel is such a quiet place that you wouldn’t be stressed out because it is not loud outside than being in the center of busy streets. Just a walk to the station and almost every place you want to go is just a train access away. Will stay here again for our next visit. Tommy was also very kind enough to carry one of our luggage down the street. A home away from home. Don’t forget to take a picture with tommy. 😊✌️ PS. A grocery store is just beside them. 😊

Best Place to feels like a local”
Words cant describe how great the house is, from public transport whom near the house. Take subway from airport direct to jongno-3ga exit 7/8 or airport limousine 6011. Tommy and other staff who will help u with a lot of information and the most important here is the room quite big, clean, warm and the room that u need to stay for. you will get the bonus, the neighborhood is really beautiful and warm, feel like a local. A lot of restaurant, coffee shop, and store. dont think too much, i bet u'll never regret choose hostel tommy.

Best hostel ive ever tried”
Tommy's place is the best place to stay in Seoul. The hostel is always so clean and is close to many attractions in Seoul like the changdeokgung palace which is just a 5-min walk away. We even walked to Bukchon Hanok Village and Myeongdong from the hostel-- only took us about 15-20mins by foot. The staff and Tommy himself are also super kind, friendly and helpful. We've been here twice and we will definitely stay here again when we come back to Korea. Thank you, Tommy and team! :D

My son loves hostel tommy, we enjoyed our stay and the location is just 2-3mins walk from the subway. The room is clean and just enough for the 3 of us. There are many tourist spots within the area. Breakfast is reasonable unlimited eggs, cereals, bread, coffee, juices. The owner Tommy and his staffs are accommodating and very approachable. I will definitely reccomend his place to my friends/family. 👍👍👍 Would love to be back here 🥰

The location is the best! Beds are comfortable and everything is very neat and clean. In addition to the kitchen and living room (where you can sit comfortably and watch TV), the terrace is also very nice. I did not have any discomfort in the days I was staying !! Tommy 삼촌 is very friendly and is always available to help !! If you are in Seoul, I recommend Tommy 삼촌 's Hostel ~~

We had a wonderful stay at Hostel Tommy! ”
Though breakfast was simple, everything was yummy -- bread, jam, peanut butter, coffee, milk, tea, cereals. Staff were very helpful and informative (Thank you Alex for helping me with my luggage and for allowing us to checkout an hour later. We overslept and needed more time to prepare and eat our breakfast. And Diana (LOVED HER!!!), thanks for making sure everything's well in the kitchen and common area. You are one sweet lady. ❤️ Lastly, thanks Tommy for your warm accommodation. You even lent us scarves after knowing that we were going to Nami Island on a freezing winter day. Recommended place to stay in”
Met Tommy upon check-in and he was very hospitable. He was kind enough to lend my daughter a shawl, and gave us hot pads because it was very cold. Staff are courteous and helpful as well. His place is very homey, clean, and is walkable to train station. Would definitely consider this place on next visit to Seoul and even recommend it to others.

Clean, safe place, nice staff, highly recommend!”
I stayed two nights at hostel tommy. The room is very clean with fair price. The hostel is close to subway, which is great for me as a traveler. Safety is also good. I have some drinks with my friend very late night at the stir-fry vender nearby and didn't see any dangerous.

Perfect location and wonderful host”
As the title, it is a great experience to stay in Tommy hostel. Great location, cozy hostel and the most important is comfortable bed. Subway is nearby and so is the airport bus stop. And alsoTommy is very friendly and helpful during my stay!! Definitely will come back!!

Exceptional ”
We came there early and they made sure our room was first to clean so we could check in asap. We had a chance to meet an owner - Tommy. A great guy. He personally helped us carry our bags and also prepared some gifts to our 2-year-old. Would most definitely stay there again.

Very comfortable hostel ”
The boss was very nice. We can cook eggs ourselves. The breakfast is good. I like the public area, we can watch TV, Eat, talk with other strangers. Really wonderful experience than a hotel that you you won’t be able to make more friends.

No. 1 Hostel in Seoul”
I had a great stay with Hostel Tommy. They upgraded my room from Single to Double Room. Tommy and his staff (James) is so kind and helpful. Awesome breakfast, Exceptional location, comfortable room. Everything you need is here and a lot of FREE things that you can actually use such as adapters, massage chair, selfie stick, umbrella, etc. You can also play games inside as they have mini billiard, and other family-friendly stuffs. WiFi is provided and they have computer. A helpful guided manual that can help you build your itinerary. One more good thing here is you can make conversation to other nationalities, because of this, I traveled alone but I go home with new friends. Salamat Hyung-nim Tommy for the awesome stay even it is short. I definitely go back and recommend your hostel.

Best hostel I've ever stayed at”
Best thing about Tommy Hostel is the staff. They are very warm and hospitable. The location of the hostel is also a short walk away from majot tourist attractions like Insadong, Ikseondong, and Myeongdong. It is also near subway stations that can take you directly to Gangnam or Yeouido. Convenience stores, marts and coffee shops are also abundant around the area. You will never get bored. :)
