Great Value, wonderful restaurant”
My wife and I stayed at the Merkur Tegel the evening before departing Germany. We wanted something near the airport as we had an early flight. I booked the hotel on line because is was at the airport, has a shuttle and the price was very reasonable. We arrived at the Berlin HBF train station, and the taxi ride to the hotel was under 20 Euro. The staff was very friendly and courteous and our room was ready for check in by 11:00. The double room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable. Best of all was our dinner at the hotel restaurant. The menu was extensive, the wait staff excellent. We were too tired to go out for dinner, and the hotel is fairly isolated, so we were very happy that we could have drinks and a meal on site. We did not have the breakfast, but based on the dinner, I would recommend it if time permits. Finally, the hotel provides a shuttle to Tegel airport that runs every 10 minutes or so. Overall a fine hotel and perfect if you need to be ready to travel early.

Excellent! Probably my best airport hotel ever”
I travel a lot but usually within the US, I slept hundreds of nights in airport hotels. Never was in such a perfect place! They think about all the details to the last one, the design of the room is pretty spacious, the inner door makes sure you won't suffer from any noise, all the amenities are very comfortable. If I'll ever have to stay in this region again, would definitely be there.

I forgot a scarf in restaurant, i walked back after 2mins but its gone, asked the waiter cleaning that table, he said i should look around myself because he is busy.

Bugs in the room! Absolutely disgusting and unclean ”
First time staying at mecure hotel and i noticed there was two bugs in the room i was staying in, there was one crawling on curtains and a house fly flying around in the room. There was only 7 dish choices on the room service menu and no mini bar. I have stayed in many hotels all over the world, and the standards that they set really let me question mecure hotels 4 star rating. Mecure hotel really are a 2-3stars hotel at best no where near 4 star.

Over Priced, the rooms were average, the bathroom was awful. The shower did not drain the water and so it stayed stagnant. The amount paid for the room should have been a fraction of what it was.

No choice but to choose this hotel due to closeness to airport”
We had early flight, and had no other suitable choices except to stay at this airport hotel. It's very expensive, even though we didn't use any facilities at all. There is a free shuttle bus to and from the airport, but need to wait or call them, so it's quite troublesome. Conclusion, there's no reason to stay unless you need to go airport quickly. Not worth the money.

Flying out of Tegal”
This hotel is 3 minutes from Tegal with a shuttle every 10 minutes. If flying in morning it is the place to stay. All the amenities of typical US airport hotel.

Mercure hotel is great for staying by Taxel airport. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. The rooms are nice size and there is coffee in room! The restaurant is very good and wait staff outstanding. Free shuttle had me to airport within 5-8 min. Highly recommend

Excellent Hotel chosen due to its location near the Airport and the views from the high rooms of the planes. Friendly stall, hotel very clean and rooms comfortable. Only down side is the 22 euros per night parking fee..

The bed was not comfortable. I arrived around 8.30 am the rep told me that I cannot check in because the check in time is at 3PM. If I want to have a room now there is a fee of $30 for early assess.
