I usually stay in an AirBnb when I travel for pleasure, but everyone recommended I stay in a hostel in Tokyo. Nui was such a lovely experience!! I highly recommend it. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, amenities are great and the location is perfect. I loved having breakfast each morning with the best lattes, then capping my night with a drink at the bar before bed. I can’t recommend enough!

One of the Best”
Lovely, affordable hostel located in the middle of one of the best places in Tokyo. The vibe at the bar was amazing and every single person working there that my boyfriend and I met/chatted with were all incredibly warm and friendly. We were on a staycation and only stayed for a night, but we definitely hope to be back sometime in the near future!

Close to both Asakusa and Oedo line - good for us on Metro Pass. Walkable to Asakusa (30 min). Friendly staff. Great atmosphere at both bar and lounge area. Will definitely return here.

This is a nice hostel to stay at. The price is good, it is clean, the food and bar are good, and the staff is nice. It is relatively close to metro though it is not particularly close to any major sights and the nearest metro station sits a little strange on the subway line to get to major points. Other than that, would recommend.

Staff are very nice and helpful. They speak English well. Hostel is on riverside that I like. Little far from subway station. Shared bathroom and rest room on the same floor are convenient. But some rest rooms have little bad smell, need to improve this point.

Nui has a unique style of interiors. Could have a chat with other travellors. Staffs are very kind and friendly. This was my first time to stay at Guest House and I really enjoyed it. But I would like to suggest put some hooks or hangers on the wall in the washstand area. I had to hold my towels while brushing my teeth & washing my face. it was very hard to hold towels and other stuff.

This hostel caught my eye from one of the review someone left and I did not regret to stay here at all! The staffs speak good English,is helpful, warm and try their best to be welcoming. The beds are comfortable, the room is quiet, has space for you to move around and the guests that chooses this hostel are friendly and know the ethics of staying in hostel and to thread lightly after 9pm which was really great. The bar downstairs is nice, I did not hv a chance to try but it is a good vibe.

Usually Japanese hostels even capsules/bunk beds are spacious.. but this is not the case. So it is only good if you will be out all day and all night and only using the bed to nap? Then I guess it is ok. It is walkable to Asakusa. That is the best point about the place. So price of the hostel goes to the location that’s it. Complaint I have is the other guests seemed to be regulars so their stuff are all around and they are not great bunk mates.

Pros: you are to make your own bed which gives you peace of mind that things have been changed (can be a con to some), shared facilities are clean from the washroom to the common area, beds are comfy and blanket is heavy, good food options in the area Cons: little whiles away from Shinjuku/Shibuya (main city areas in Tokyo), around a 10-15 minute walk to Sensoji Temple

Nice hostel with great location”
Excellent cleanliness , 2 minutes walk to Kuramae station, ideal for a quick short stay. The only down side is that noise form the bar can be heard when I’m on the 4th floor, if you are an early sleeper bring along ear plug. And in case your flight is arriving at late night , you better check in by 23:00 the latest, otherwise you have to give them a heads up plus there will be extra charge.

The hostel is very clean and the location is good. Wonder if they can buy the blanket sheet, try not to use the bedsheet as blanket sheet, it just get slides off when I sleep as I kick around. One more point for improvement, can you add a body length mirror in the room? It really helps me to take a look rather than the toilet as the mirror is only half - can only see upper body. No other issues, is all great!

not super convenient location as it is not at the city center. But quite close to metro station. Just if you go back alone at night, the surroundings may be a bit dark and too quiet as it situates in a small neighborhood. But I like the tranquility of this little district. Lounge and common area are great, but the room and the bed is only acceptable. A bit difficult to sleep as I was in a room of 8 with people coming in and out the whole night.

One of the better hostels I've stayed in. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Everything was super clean, and you get curtains around your bed for a little extra privacy which was nice. The overall atmosphere and styling inside was pretty cool too. The restaurant and café downstairs had some really good food choices which were all delicious. Lots of choices for drinks too.

A trendy place but basic for the cost”
Nui is one of the coolest hostels in Tokyo. For that reason, it is always booked out well in advance. The cost is too high for what it is, though. The bar/cafe/lobby downstairs is really cool, with great decor and good food and coffee, but the rooms themselves are pretty basic. We found it was overpriced for a twin room. It was just a bunk bed and small table and not much space. The worst thing was that there was no curtain or blinds, so it was hard to sleep. The bathrooms are big, clean and nice. I'd recommend Nui, but there are cheaper places for twin rooms.
